Jalina is awesome. She helped me on her day off when the practice was closed due to the staff calling in sick. She is a real treasure to the Banfield company!!!

I cannot describe how bad my experience was here. To start, I took my 3 year old pit bull/ lab mix who weights 47 pounds. They called me and told me she was overweight and needed to lose 12 pounds. That’s 25% her body weight. When I asked what they took into account they said BREED DIDN'T MATTER and you should be able to barely touch her and feel her ribs. So you should feel an english bull dogs ribs? I will attach a picture so you can see if my dog is “12 pounds overweight”. When I questioned banfield they proceeded to tell me “it was just a suggestion and if I wanted my dog to live longer I would follow the recommended diet”. Well, since then I have taken my dog to Terrell vet clinic in lakeway and the vet told me my dog was ideal weight and they were horrified that any vet would suggest she lose 12 pounds. The second instance was I received a email 3 months after my dog got vaccinated saying they had been exposed and “weren’t refrigerated properly” so she had to come back and get all the vaccines AGAIN. Never in my life has this happened and I’m so glad I have left this clinic.

Location at Petsmart doesn't appear to be fully staffed. Came in at noon 7/3/24 to pickup medication I called about the previous day, but saw a note in the back saying they were closed at 11am because there was no veterinarian. No warning or notice given. Petsmart employee said they do that frequently. Edit: location seems to be run by shady vet. They have frequently cancelled appts day of, they cancelled a spay because of missing anesthesia (employee theft probably), and they always give conflicting info over the phone and ask you to drive to location. Everything seems intentional to delay your serviced another month to get more subscription money out of you. Do not recommend Banfield or any employee of Banfield to work near your pet. I have used Banfield in the past in other cities and received acceptable results, but after my last experience I will never use them again. I brought my dog in to have a specific procedure performed. The first visit was an examination to ensure the procedure was viable and that went fine, however when the day came to have the procedure performed I got a call from the vet (different from who performed the initial exam) an hour after I dropped her off saying she was not willing to perform the procedure. When I came to pick up my dog they tried to charge me for an office visit when the "visit" consisted of nothing more than the vet on duty declining to perform the scheduled procedure. All along the way in every conversation with every employee I had to decline to sign up for their subscription service at least once. I've learned those subscription services are the only thing this corporation cares about and everything they do is one way or another designed to funnel you into one of them. From now on I'm only going to use independent vets that don't have those plans to push on me.
