Banfield Pet Hospital Introduce
Banfield Pet Hospital is located at 1184 Polaris Pkwy, Columbus, OH 43240, USA, offering a range of veterinary services and wellness plans for pets. They can be contacted at (614) 433-9361 or +1 614-433-9361.
Customer reviews present a somewhat mixed perspective on Banfield Pet Hospital at this location. One reviewer praised the vets and the overall care provided to their dogs by the staff. They also found the wellness plans to be beneficial for maintaining their dogs' health.
An update from another customer in March 2025 indicated an improvement in customer service, noting that phone calls are now being answered and a more personal touch has returned after previous concerns. This suggests that Banfield may have addressed earlier feedback regarding communication issues.
However, another detailed review expressed mixed feelings, echoing earlier difficulties in reaching the clinic by phone, often resulting in long hold times and unreturned voicemails. Drop-off visits were reportedly strongly encouraged, with limited communication from staff and a rushed feeling during pick-up, described as an "assembly line of pet care" with owner communication occurring in the PetSmart shopping area. While acknowledging the excellent veterinary care, particularly mentioning Dr. Rogers for saving their dog's life, this customer felt the service was impersonal and lacked time or privacy for questions, disregarding the emotional bond between pets and their owners. They noted a loss of personal touch since the pandemic and recounted a recent incident of not being updated on their dog's procedure and struggling to get through on the phone. This reviewer also mentioned difficulties in securing timely appointments for sick pets with their wellness plan, often needing to seek care elsewhere. Despite these issues, their gratitude to Dr. Rogers' excellent care remains the primary reason for their continued patronage.
As a 'Pet Hospital' offering comprehensive veterinary care and wellness plans, Banfield Pet Hospital on Polaris Parkway appears to provide quality medical services. However, potential clients should consider the varying experiences regarding customer service and communication, as highlighted in the recent reviews. While improvements in customer service have been reported, some customers have experienced challenges in communication and a lack of personalized attention. The quality of veterinary care, particularly the expertise of individual vets like Dr. Rogers, seems to be a significant positive aspect for many pet owners.

Mar 08, 2025 · Hanna ChenUpdate: 3/21/25. I stayed with Dr Rogers and Banfield Vet. They paid attention to reviews and listened to their clients. Since my previous review, Banfield improved their customer service. Phone calls are answered and the personal touch is back. Like another customer, I have mixed feelings about Banfield. You are fortunate if anyone answers the phone and if they do, you are placed on hold until you either hang up or 20 minutes have passed. At the 20 minute mark, you go to voicemail with messages never returned. Drop off visits are strongly encouraged leaving your pet there all day. There is no communication with staff, no call backs. When you show up, you are handed your pet and papers and are on your way. It feels like a mechanized assembly line of pet care with owner communication occuring in the shopping area of PetSmart. The veterinary care is excellent but feels impersonal and cold as there is no time or privacy for questions. For every pet, there is a concerned human being who loves them deeply which seems to be disregarded and unimportant in the churning of day to day work. The personal touch was lost during the pandemic and it is missed. Today, I was not updated that my dogs procedure was finished, could not get through on the phone and drove to the office while on hold for 20 min. I left a voicemail and called in again and had to be assertive in requesting not to be placed on hold. I don't like to have to be this way. We arrived 15 min prior to closing and I do not know what would have happened if we had just waited at home for a phone call after her procedure and the office closed. In 3 years of having a wellness plan, I have never been able to get an appointment when my dog is sick. I usually have to go to MedVet or call other Banfield centers looking for care. I am very grateful to Dr Rogers for saving my dog's life and she is the only reason I continue to use Banfield. If she leaves, we will too. Although, I doubt that Banfield would would be sorry to see our business go. It's a hard choice to make between excellent veterinary care and poor customer care. Seeing my boy Flynn happy, playing and chasing squirrels every day due to Dr Rogers' excellent care keeps me coming back and dealing with the downside of Banfield. Consider your options when deciding to choose Banfield
Mar 21, 2025 · Laura PateselThey do a great job with Neiko and when any emergencies arise they do put us in as early as possible I really do appreciate them. I go to Banfield over taking him to the vet now!
May 29, 2024 · Kaylin JohnsonOur visit to Banfield Polaris was great. Dr. Kaylyn Christine Stanton was amazing and took care of our little man quickly and efficiently all while taking into account his needs and personality. Our 10yo miniature schnauzer Peter Pan has been disabled and unable to use his back legs since 2020 due to IVDD; this has made him become more protective of his dads than he ever was before and with this he gets defensive when anyone gets close to us when he is nearby. Dr. Stanton and our nurse at Banfield were fantastic with working around his “attitude” if you will, in order to get the necessary checks and treatment completed for him. In the past we have been told that he would need to be sedated before visiting or that the doctors would not treat him and we did not like this at all. He is our son and we will do everything necessary to take care of him and ensure that he has a happy and healthy life. We would like to thank Dr. Stanton and the entire Banfield staff for being so outstanding.
Oct 16, 2024 · VICTOR JOHNSONJust picked up my pet, dropped him off at 9:30am for his comprehensive exam and 1 vaccine. Picked him up at 4pm, and of course they didn't perform the comp exam. When I initially decided to get a Banfield plan it was b/c I felt that it was affordable and there were lots of services included. Well, I've had 3 issues with the Polaris location, so I will find my pets a different location before I decide to stop using Banfield entirely.
