I have been going to Banfield for years and have always had good experiences until I switched to the Chamblee location. I don’t normally post reviews, but after three bad visits, I wanted to share my experiences with people looking for vets in the area. Earlier this year I switched my dog back to Banfield from a different private vet. My dog had already had all his vaccines from the prior office, and I gave Banfield his records on his first visit. They did not read his records and gave my elderly dog all of the same vaccines again. That same visit they also gave my dog a vaccine not included in the wellness plan and called to tell me it would cost extra. I looked at the old vet records and saw he never needed any of the vaccines they gave him in the first place, so they doubled him up on vaccines and tried to charge me for a shot he didn’t even need. I also agreed to do a test over the phone and wasn’t quoted a price until after it was done, and I thought it came with my plan. I was then told it would be hundreds of dollars when it was time to pick up my dog which I didn’t appreciate. This morning I brought my dog for a drop off visit. I showed up on time and the front desk worker told me they had no staff so they couldn’t take my appointment that morning. They knew they didn’t have staff and didn’t bother to call to tell me not to bring in my dog, so I had to take him back home and be late for work and now I have to find a different location to get him treated. This is the second time I have shown up and they told me they didn’t have the staff to honor my appointment but didn’t bother to call to tell me that before I showed up at the store. I like the Banfield company, but I would highly recommend going to a different location.

Dec 26, 2024 · Laura AlfordLike most reviews on this location I do not recommend. The past 3 times that I have went to this location for my dog, they have been nothing but RUDE. I’m not sure what’s in the air, but this location is horrible. They are ALWAYS short on staff, they always have an attitude or a chip on their shoulder. Respectfully, I don’t need that energy around my dog. I will choose another location moving forward.

Back in November, I dropped my dog off early in the morning for a skin check, only to be called later to pick him up—only to find out the vet never even checked his skin! Instead, they focused on other things I never asked for. Fast forward to today, after waiting a full week for an appointment just to get my dog's heartworm pill, they wait until the very end to tell me, "Oh, we don’t have it in stock." Seriously? You couldn’t have checked this earlier or given me a heads-up before I wasted my time coming in? This place is beyond disorganized, and the lack of communication is unacceptable. I’m done with this location. If you value your time and your pet’s care, go elsewhere.
Jan 31, 2025 · Jean Paul LopezI have a 15 year old Yorkie. The lil guy is the love of my life. He is deaf, has doggie dementia, has eye problems and the biggest problem is his kidney disease. We've been working with the amazing people at Banfield for the past few months trying to get Sugar feeling better. They showed my husband and I how to do daily at home IV fluid treatments and the turnaround that Sugar has shown is amazing!! I believe we would have needed to put him down due to poor quality of life a while ago if it weren't for them helping us get his treatments right! Mar 04, 2024 · Lisa GleasonScheduled an appointment for both of my pets at the CHAMBLEE location. While scheduling I inquired about allergy testing, the front desk quoted me and proceed to put me on the books. I came to the appointment, dropped them off and when I came to pick them up, I inquired about my cat being allergy tested to find out that they don’t do that. So how did I get a quote from your front desk for a particular test that you guys don’t offer??? Was this just to get my money??? I complained to corporate because my cat needed the testing which prompted me to get their yearly stuff done. I had to go to another vet the following day for allergy testing and subsequently also having to pay for another DOCTORs visit. I told the rep my concerns and she said someone from the office will reach out, it’s been almost a year and I’ve heard nothing. These people are a sham, take your money elsewhere. Lying to customers just to get people in the doors.
