I went for a simple health certificate for my dog, with an 11 am appointment. I arrived at 10:45 am and waited for 5-10 minutes as the front desk staff ignored me, chatting among themselves. Once inside, the check-up went smoothly at first, after a few questions, they took my dog away. I was told it would take less than an hour(no tests were needed, it was a simple physical check up without blood tests or vaccines). By noon, I hadn't heard anything, so I waited longer, thinking there might be a small delay. At 12:45 pm, I asked for an update and was told there was an emergency, and my dog would be kept for a few more hours. I panicked, asked if she was okay, and was dismissed with a vague "we'll call you when we’re done." At 1:45 pm, the vet finally called to confirm my dog was fine and that they only needed to sign the papers. When I asked how much longer, they said about another hour with no explanation. By 1:50 pm, I was told she was ready for pick-up, but when I arrived to pick up my dog, I was greeted with a rude "No, she's not ready yet," and some eye rolls, with staff saying things like, "Oh, that's [dog's name]'s mom, she's still waiting here," as if they were tired of seeing me there. The staff was rude, and I had to wait until 2:30 pm to finally get my dog. Throughout the visit, my questions were dismissed, and I had to repeat answers I'd already given in a form they made me fill out, which seemed like they hadn’t even read. They kept pushing me to go wait at home with no clear reason or updates. This was a frustrating, unprofessional experience, and I will not be returning. I highly do not recommend this place.

Jan 27, 2025 · Kyra LeclercHello, I would like to make known my dissatisfaction with this clinic, not with the doctors but with the people who were at the reception, they are not friendly. I speak Spanish and a little English, although it is not good. I try to communicate but it seems that the staff at the reception does not treat you well. You can tell the difference between one person and another. I think they should hire people who are more friendly and understanding. I will not go to this clinic anymore. They do not treat Hispanics well and I believe that I have the right to friendly treatment since they do not complain about the service but I pay for it and it is not cheap. I am very unhappy and it is a shame because the doctors and assistants are friendly.
Feb 25, 2025 · Yaimari Santana riveroAppreciate the experience and care of the Vets at this location. However, it has the most inefficient check-in /check-out process of any Banfield I have used over the years. I’ve never had an appointment start on time even when showing up early and I wait 15-30 minutes every time after check-out for someone to bring my dogs out.
Feb 20, 2025 · Michael KennedyRUN DON’T WALK AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION! Let me start off by saying I completely understand the stress most, if not all, service providers endure on a daily and especially the holiday season. I’ve worked in customer relations/service for a majority of my 12-year career. All I ever ask of a provider is honesty and clarity. Today, my appointment for my fur baby was supposed to begin at 1PM. My husband and I showed up early and weren’t acknowledged by the CSC nor provided context for what their day looked like. After about 10 minutes, Alycia, the CSC, proceeded to have me weigh my little one and then shooed me off into the one waiting room they have. I asked her initially how many techs were on site and how long the wait would be and she could not, or could care less to, provide us with a timeframe. My husband I then proceeded to wait another 15-20 minutes putting us around 30 minutes past our scheduled appointment time. The technician was apologetic about the wait after taking my dog’s information, but also could not give us a rough timeframe at which my dog could be examined and provided with his single vaccination. AGAINST MY BETTER JUDGEMENT, we dropped him off anyway. My husband and I decided to poke around the local shops to burn time but after TWO HOURS AND FIFTEEN MINUTES, putting the time at 3:45 we still had not received a call. We decided that if my dog wasn’t currently being serviced then we would cancel the appointment for we commute an hour for his care. As soon as we walk in, the Alycia notices us and retreats back to the break room with a bowl containing her meal. She doesn’t bother to acknowledge us yet again, but we wait for her to finish her meal and sheepishly proceeds to the desk. I ask her if my dog has received care or what my dog’s remaining wait time is having already waited over two hours for the vaccination. She proceeds to offer me a myriad of excuses, consisting of a short staff, a coworker’s loss in his/her family, and the holiday rush. I proceeded to tell her that that would have been great to know upon dropping my dog off two hours earlier. Before I could finish my next statement she retorts with, “Would you like me to go get your dog because I’m not about to go back and forth with you…” I immediately get upset and tell her that she could do just that! By this point, two additional customers are in line behind me. She attempted to shoo me away by asking me to step aside so that she could service them. I declined. I tell her that I refuse to leave until she departs to go and get my dog. Upset by the repercussions of her own actions, she retreats to grab her shift lead, Whitney, to further assist me. Thankfully, Whitney understood my concerns of expectation management. She provided me with the name(s) and numbers of her manager at the 6 Mile location. Both Dr. Hercula and Ms. Kristina listened to my concerns and confirmed their expectations of their staff as well. I appreciate the leadership’s care towards my plight but will NEVER visit this ghastly location again.
Dec 23, 2024 · Tiffany Welch-BakerI’ve really debated on leaving a one star review but, seeing as my pets were not harmed by the staff that isn’t fair. Several months ago my vet left the office to seek employment elsewhere. I was not notified of this so when I went to schedule an appointment they told me & refused to tell me where she went. They didn’t say “I’m not sure” they said “we’re not allowed to disclose that” they want to keep my business. Well, they kept me for a few extra months.. now I am gone. I recently made an appointment & called the day of to ask some logistical questions & I meantioned “her” referring to my new vet. They said the vet today is a him, and said his name.. I said my vet is a women why would they schedule me for a day that my vet isn’t in the office? “Because you don’t have a specific vet, that’s not how it works” yes, that is how it works. I’ve always gotten the same vet , they check your previous appointment & ask “ are you okay with staying with Dr. so & so?” That was frustrating but I was kind & went to the appointment.. I was 20 minutes early to my appointment & I didn’t get seen until 25 minutes after my appointment time. The vet refused to examine my pets in the room because “it’s too crowded” yes, it was me, my husband, my toddler son, my golden retriever, 2 of my cats. It would have been fine & I really don’t like my pets being taken out of the room away from me if they don’t have to. I was so thankful to not have a drop off appointment for this reason. When I came for my other cat back in March the vet did the exam & vaccines in the room. He could have to. It’s one thing if had ask if that’s okay & I say yes but when the vet tech said what he wanted to do I said can we please do it in here, he said no, he’ll be in to talk to us after the exam is done. I will not lie one bit here, I’m very unhappy but I will not tell stories. He was really nice. He gave me some helpful information. When it came time to go over pricing with the vet tech we learned that the office visits had went up. They had an increase at my visit in March & then again this time. Absolutely ridiculous. It’s corporate, i understand that.. it’s to the point that this is my last straw. I need to be able to take care of my pets without spending all my money. The icing on the cake is they told me we could use a coupon to wave the office visit cost for one pet & then we found out that it’s for first time clients only. Did they genuinely not realize it or where they just tired of us complaining about the cost & figured it gets us out of the exam room? I don’t know but I’m absolutely not ever recommending banfield ever.
