Banfield Pet Hospital

I recently brought both of my dogs there and learned the hospital was under new management. The new PM Marisa is really trying to turn this place around. It was clean, the staff took their time, and the doctors were great. Hopeful to see where this clinic is at in a few months!!

Used to go to the Glendale, CA location. When I moved to Evanston I unfortunately had to move banfields. Worst staff ever specially the receptionist/front desk. Zero empathy, zero professionalism, zero communication and so rude to the point that when I call I literally ask if she’s there and if she is, I bring my dog on another day. I leave voice msgs for no one to call me back. It’s 9:20 pm and I still call and get the weekend automated message when they claim they’re open at 9 am. This place operates on mood basis and not professionally which is really frustrating.

@Banfield provided good vet services to my 2 dogs for over 13 years, both in Illinois and New Jersey. Then back again in IL. Then @Banfield closed my local site in Northbrook, IL. Their other locations are much too far away - at least 45 mins each way. Now they're insisting I pay for 10 more months of service, or $659 in total, instead of letting me simply cancel my contract!! RIDICULOUS!!!

Apparently online bookings don’t actually mean anything. Booked a month out so we could do in room visits but get called saying that they actually don’t do those and it’s just drop off. Not helpful unfortunately. Might not be the hospitals fault but Banfield and the hospital need to work together so they can provide what they promise.

The vet tech was distracted and more interested in telling me why she has an aversion to cotton balls than she was in actually reading and reporting the correct information to me about my dog’s health. They told me that my dog had Lyme disease and the vet had to come in and explain that she was wrong and he does not have Lyme disease. They forgot to give me my rabies tag and paperwork when I left so I had to drive 45 minutes back and get it or wait like 4 days for it to arrive in the mail.
