Pixie had a great visit at her appointment Saturday 12/7, she always does. We were greeted by Jess. Mya came out & carried Pixie back because she knew she was anxious. A couple of people I didn't see that took care if PixieDr. Knott called me about Pixie's visit. She always takes the time to answer all my questions. In fact, she spoke with my daughter(didn't know who she was) that was shopping in Petsmart, to answer questions about changing her pet's food. Everyone at Banfield are awesome!!🩷

The hospital can be reached by phone at (918) 274-1513, offering a direct line for scheduling appointments and addressing pet health inquiries.
As part of the larger Banfield Pet Hospital network, which is known as the largest privately owned veterinary practice in the United States, this Owasso location adheres to a standard of care focused on preventive medicine and accessible services. The hospital emphasizes a commitment to compassionate, quality healthcare, striving to foster a better world for pets through comprehensive well-being.
The environment at Banfield Pet Hospital in Owasso is typically designed for convenience and efficiency, often benefiting from its co-location within PetSmart stores. This allows pet owners to combine their veterinary visits with pet supply shopping. While specific details about the interior design are not provided, the operational model aims to be welcoming and functional for both pets and their owners. Reviews suggest that efforts are made to create a comforting atmosphere, especially for anxious pets. For example, a client noted that staff members like Mya would carry their anxious dog, Pixie, back for her appointment, indicating a gentle and attentive approach to reducing pet stress. The team aims to provide a reassuring experience, understanding that leaving a pet for a procedure can be "traumatizing" for owners, and they strive to offer reassurance and support. The facility is equipped to handle various procedures, from routine exams to surgeries, within a professional setting.
Banfield Pet Hospital offers a broad spectrum of veterinary services, primarily centered around their signature Optimum Wellness Plans® (OWPs), which are designed to provide affordable and proactive preventive care. Key services include:
Preventive Care: This forms the core of Banfield’s offerings. It includes comprehensive physical exams, vaccinations tailored to a pet's needs and lifestyle (such as rabies, parvovirus, and feline leukemia), and year-round parasite control for fleas, ticks, heartworms, and intestinal parasites. OWPs typically cover unlimited office visits and routinely recommended diagnostic tests like blood work and fecal exams to establish a baseline of health and detect issues early.
Veterinary Dentistry: They provide professional dental cleanings to support oral health, along with digital dental X-rays to assess issues below the gumline. Dental extractions and other oral surgical procedures are also offered.
Surgical Procedures: The hospital performs general surgeries, including routine spays and neuters for cats and dogs. They utilize modern anesthesia protocols with continuous monitoring to ensure patient safety during procedures. Some locations may also offer soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.
Diagnostics: Equipped with in-house laboratory diagnostics, they can perform rapid blood tests, urinalysis, and other screenings for same-day results. Digital radiography (X-rays) is used for detailed imaging of internal organs and musculoskeletal structures.
Microchipping: A vital service for pet identification and recovery in case a pet becomes lost.
Nutritional and Behavioral Counseling: Guidance is provided on proper nutrition for different life stages and conditions, as well as advice and resources for managing common pet behavioral issues.
Puppy and Kitten Care: Tailored wellness programs and vaccinations for young pets to ensure a healthy start in life.
Senior Pet Care: Specialized attention and screenings for aging pets to address age-related health concerns and maintain quality of life.
Virtual Care: Their Optimum Wellness Plans often include access to virtual office visits and 24/7 Vet Chat™ with a real veterinary professional, offering convenience and immediate advice from home.
A distinctive feature of Banfield Pet Hospital in Owasso, as highlighted by client testimonials, is the dedication and helpfulness of its veterinary staff. Dr. Knott, for example, is repeatedly praised for taking the time to answer all questions and even assisting a client's daughter with pet food concerns, demonstrating a commitment to thorough communication and client education. Similarly, Dr. Green received commendation for "amazing" responsiveness, offering helpful answers to questions about a dog's health and even compiling a list of recommended products. These interactions underscore a feature of personal attention and willingness to go beyond the basic examination to ensure client understanding and satisfaction.
However, some reviews also indicate that the client experience can vary, particularly regarding front desk interactions. While the medical care often receives high praise, some feedback points to a lack of warmth or an "atrocious attitude" from certain front-line staff, which can be disheartening for pet owners, especially when they are already stressed about their pet's health. This suggests that while clinical competence is high, consistency in compassionate customer service at all touchpoints remains an area for continuous improvement.
Banfield Pet Hospital actively promotes its services through its Optimum Wellness Plans® (OWPs), which are designed to make preventive care more accessible and affordable. These plans are packages of routinely recommended wellness services, often saving pet owners more than 30% on preventive care. Key promotional aspects related to OWPs and other offerings include:
One Month Free/Waived Enrollment Fee: Periodically, Banfield offers promotions such as a waived enrollment fee and the first month free with a new OWP enrollment, making it easier for new clients to join.
Unlimited Office Visits: A significant benefit of OWPs is typically unlimited office visits, meaning clients won't incur additional "office visit" fees for unscheduled check-ups related to their pet's plan.
Discounts on Services Outside the Plan: OWP members often receive a discount on many Banfield products and services not explicitly included in their chosen plan.
Flexible Payments: OWPs allow clients to pay yearly or divide their total payment into 12 easy monthly installments with no interest fees, providing financial flexibility.
Product Rebates and Offers: Banfield often advertises instant rebates on popular parasite control products (e.g., Nextgard, Simparica Trio), encouraging consistent preventive medication usage.
Online Shop Promotions: Their online Banfield Shop may feature discounts on pet medications and supplies, sometimes with special offers on AutoShip orders.
Banfield Pet Hospital also accepts CareCredit, providing another flexible payment option for managing veterinary expenses. While discounts for military personnel, veterans, and seniors are sometimes mentioned for affiliated veterinary practices, clients are always encouraged to directly contact the Banfield Pet Hospital in Owasso at (918) 274-1513 or visit their website to inquire about the most current and specific promotions available at their location.

All the vets at Banfield who take care of him as well as everyone else’s animals are extremely kind, caring, and respectful. Dr. Green is my cats vet and they’re absolutely wonderful. My cats never been healthier and my bills have never been lower😅 definitely consider having your vet services performed here, especially if you’ve got worries about whether or not your pet will get the care they deserve. Dec 20, 2024 · Kayleigh Jane (Kiwi)Don't take any pets here. We had been taking our dogs here for years. Our one poor dog was in her last stages of heart failure, and they kept telling us she needed less food. We took her to Soho, and they tried to help her. They said, "Didn't your vet tell you?" We said no, they just told us she was eating too much to cut her back on food and to buy this expensive diet food they have. Never take your pets here they will let it die.
