Worst experience I’ve had going to a vet in 50+ years. No tables in exam rooms, they had me an older woman down siting on the dirty floor holding my dog a small Aussie while they cut her nails which was exhausting for me. Vet was sick and had no voice and did not wear a mask. Tech drained my dogs glands and liquid got on me because I was holding her. I asked for soap to wash my hands. She had to find soap because they only keep sanitizer in the room. Tech that did her glands just took a paper towel and wiped his hands and walked out. My cat needed meds vet had no clue on what dosage to give to him. I said shouldn’t you tell me your professional opinion? She had no clue. Asked me no questions about his special needs. They called the pharmacy to refill his meds and per the pharmacist they asked him his dosage and had no clue what to give him. Pharmacist was appalled. They take your pet into another room to work on them and bring them back. Why? To me that is a huge red flag! I attempted to call back after the pharmacist told me they had no clue on his dosage and was on hold for 2 hours and finally just hung up and drove back to the office, missing a staff call to do so. Very inexperienced. I asked them to trim her butt and she tried to snap at them which she’s never done in 5 years and she was so upset when we got home. I checked and it was not a trim she had 4 large chunks taken out of her, down to her skin! I think it hurt her. I have many questions about this office and personnel and will never return. My question is was my cat taken to the back room to be worked on (which seems to be the practice in this office for all pets) was it because he was muzzled? Every time he goes to the vet because he is special needs he screams so loud he could wake the dead! When he was in the back room and I was 2 rooms away with my dog (only because I said I had to be with her due to ptsd from having 3/4 of her jaw removed at 11 weeks due to mouth cancer) he made no noise at all. That’s NOT him in his 7 years of life. My question is was he muzzled? I would have NEVER given permission for that! So to me it’s a red flag. If that is the practice and I say IF because I was not in the room the owner should be asked or told that this is the practice. Very questionable to me! Owners you ask yourself why your pet is taken into another room to be worked on or given a shot without you being present? I’ve never gone to a vet where they take your pet into another room! No this office is NOT for me or any of my family or friends!

Jan 25, 2025 · Barbara HaddenA lot of fake reviews for Banfield on Google . Here's the real low down; Google should allow 0 star reviews because this company doesn't deserve one star. Banfield as a company engages in unethical, deceptive and misleading practices regarding their "wellness plans". It's a trap. Read every word in the contract, or better yet, have an attorney do so. I'm pursuing complaints with the New Jersey State Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners as well as several consumer agencies. Just take my advice and "DON'T DO IT!". Don't take your Beloved furry family member there. And certainly don't sign up for any of their "wellness plans". There's NO value for money with those plans, and you'll have to pay out the nose get out of it.
Jan 18, 2025 · Thomas and the ThornburghsThis is an amazing Banfield. The front desk folks are always really accommodating, friendly and understanding. the vet is super informative and kind. One of ladies who gives vaccines, Lydia, is just a good hearted person who is great at her job and you can tell loves dogs. The optimum wellness plan is so worth it. Highly recommend this place to anyone. Thanks from me and Ace!
Dec 27, 2023 · Alex NesporThey killed my one-year-old cat, Mars, by saying he just had "sore legs" (whatever that means). They gave him pain medication, and the morning after his first birthday, at 2 AM, he was put down due to an infected disc. We couldn’t afford the cost of the MRI and surgery. He was my first cat, and I will miss him dearly.
Mar 03, 2025 · CJBanfield offers pet insurance plans that can offset the cost of emergency and well being visits. We have multiple pets and I can honestly say that for the most part the vet techs are exceptionally good with engaging with both you and your animal by explaining procedures, costs, options, and what to expect. The veterinarians are compassionate and always patient to answer all your questions and address your concerns. Some locations offer both veterinary care and grooming services which is always convenient. We've used Banfield for our gang for over 5 yrs now with very limited issues.
