Love Banfield, confused by the negative reviews. I was recommended by the shelter that I adopted my dog from in 2017 and we have been signed up for their wellness plan ever since. When my dog had an allergic reaction and they were fully booked, they somehow fit him in that day. I can tell the assistance their really care about my dog with how they interact with him. Also, their app is also really convenient for scheduling and you are able to talk to a vet on it 24/7. Have not had any issues with the service itself, however the clinic is in Pet Smart, so it is a little inconvenient trying to avoid other dogs if you have a reactive dog.

Banfield Pet Hospital Introduce

Welcome to the local introduction of Banfield Pet Hospital, situated at 3845 Marketplace Dr NW, Rochester, MN 55901, USA. As a Pet Hospital, Banfield aims to provide a range of veterinary services for your animal companions. The customer reviews present a mixed perspective, with some highlighting positive aspects such as caring staff and convenient features, while another recounts a significant scheduling issue. We will objectively present these viewpoints to give you a comprehensive understanding.

Regarding the environment, it's important to note, as mentioned by one reviewer, that this Banfield Pet Hospital is located within a PetSmart store. This co-location can offer the convenience of accessing veterinary care while also shopping for pet supplies. However, for owners of reactive dogs, this setting might present a challenge due to the presence of other animals in the retail environment. The internal environment of the Banfield clinic itself is not detailed in these reviews, but one might expect standard examination rooms, waiting areas, and potentially areas for minor procedures, typical of a Pet Hospital.

The services offered by Banfield Pet Hospital appear to be comprehensive. One satisfied customer mentioned enrolling in their wellness plan since adopting their dog in 2017, suggesting that Banfield offers preventative care packages. This plan likely includes regular check-ups, vaccinations, and other routine care. The reviewer also highlighted the clinic's responsiveness in an urgent situation, managing to fit in their dog with an allergic reaction despite being fully booked. This indicates a willingness to accommodate pets in need. Furthermore, a significant feature mentioned is their app, which offers convenient scheduling and even a 24/7 chat service with a veterinarian, showcasing their commitment to accessibility and continuous support.

Several features of this Banfield Pet Hospital stand out. The availability of wellness plans is a notable aspect, focusing on proactive and affordable pet healthcare. The caring nature of the staff, as perceived by one reviewer through their interaction with their dog, suggests a team that is invested in the well-being of their patients. The convenience of their app, with its scheduling capabilities and 24/7 vet chat, is a modern feature that enhances accessibility to veterinary advice and appointment management. However, a contrasting experience detailed in another review points to a significant issue with their appointment scheduling system and the unhelpfulness of the front desk staff in resolving it. This suggests a potential inconsistency in administrative processes.

One positive aspect mentioned is the perceived care and attention the staff gives to the animals. The fact that a long-term customer, recommended by a shelter, continues to use their services and appreciates how the staff interacts with their dog speaks to a positive aspect of their patient care. The convenience of the app, especially the 24/7 vet chat, can be a significant benefit for pet owners seeking immediate advice or needing to schedule appointments outside of regular hours.

The negative review raises concerns about the reliability of their scheduling system, particularly when appointments are made through a human representative. The lack of a scheduled appointment upon arrival and the perceived unhelpfulness of the staff in resolving the issue are significant drawbacks highlighted by this customer. This experience underscores the importance of reliable administrative processes in a service-oriented business like a Pet Hospital.

Currently, the provided information does not include any specific promotional details. Banfield Pet Hospital, as a national chain, often has information about their wellness plans and other offers on their main website, which local users might want to explore. Regarding goods for sale, being located within a PetSmart, it is highly likely that the broader retail store offers a wide range of pet-related products, although the veterinary clinic itself might primarily focus on medical services and potentially some prescription medications or related items.

In summary, Banfield Pet Hospital in Rochester, MN, offers wellness plans, a convenient app with 24/7 vet chat, and a staff that at least some pet owners find caring. However, there is a reported instance of a significant scheduling error and unhelpful front desk service. The clinic's location within a PetSmart can be both a convenience and a potential drawback depending on your pet's temperament. For local users, it would be prudent to weigh the reported positive aspects of care and convenience against the negative experience with scheduling. If you are interested in their wellness plans or the convenience of their app, contacting them directly at (507) 252-8933 or +1 507-252-8933 might provide more clarity. You can also visit their location at 3845 Marketplace Dr NW, Rochester, MN 55901, USA, within the PetSmart, to assess if it meets your needs and your pet's comfort level.

Do not bother with this clinic, even if you’re desperate! Worthless unhelpful staff. I made an appointment so that I could get my dog in on my day off. I actually rearranged my schedule and canceled an appointment at a different clinic in order to get to this one. However, when I got there the front desk staff just gave me a blank look and said they didn’t have any appointment scheduled. Their excuse was the scheduling app sometimes doesn’t work. I’m not sure how that applies considering I spoke to a human being to schedule it, but either way, if the scheduling app doesn’t work, fix the damn thing! Now my dog has to be miserable for another day and I have to miss work because of their incompetence.

We've had great experiences placing our trust in Banfield to take amazing care of our 5-year-old pug, Gus. From the moment he walks in, or shall I say "prances in", Gus is doted on, and, let’s face it, he expects nothing less. The staff is incredible—always warm, welcoming and can miraculously tune out his loud snores during his naptime as he waits for mommee or daddee to reappear. Whether it’s his biannual check-ups that come with his Optimum Wellness Plan or the occasional pug drama (who knew a pug could actually catch a rabbit to play-much to both of their surprises), they handle everything with care and professionalism. If you're looking for a clinic that offers an affordable alternative to traditional pet insurance, has office hours 7 days a week & combines great care with heart, Banfield is a great choice.

14 years I have been loyal to my vet and the Banfield team. Today that changed, my 18-year-old cat is in stage 4 renal failure. I was told on February 25, 2022 that my cat had days, possible weeks but definitely not months left to live. Today is June 16th 2022 she is still alive and kicking. After noticing a bad smell coming from her that comes and goes, I contacted the vet to set up an appointment; however I was told that I cannot Be present with my cat during her exam in the exam room due to “Covid restrictions”. Currently no other veterinary service is doing this any longer and while I have no problem wearing a mask and being as safe as possible I do have a problem being away from my cat during the exam because it is very stressful for her and it’s even more stressful for her when she’s away from me. Shes very much a mamas girl, and we all know not only can stress cause illness but it’s also going to feed any illness that you currently have only making them worse, my goal is to make these trips to the vet as quick as easy on my cat as possible for the sake of her health. Seeing as how she is on borrowed time and in hospice care provided by myself I feel that this is not an unreasonable request and I find it absolutely and completely unethical to be turned away given the circumstance. I’d like to think or at least I’d like to know that I can rely on my veterinary service and care especially in these critical final days weeks however long it is that I have left with her. Add to all this not once have I gotten any follow up phone calls checking in saying hey how is she doing given her diagnosis any questions I’ve had to call in myself and on top of all of it there’s only one front desk person who works there who has been kind, aside from her, everybody else has been short with me rude and just zero signs of compassion or empathy. I pay a monthly service to Banfield to have care provided for my pet now I have to go to a new vet and start all over when she’s 18 and dying so thanks a lot Banfield. 🖕Echo deserves better!
