I have been to this location several times for my dogs anal glands expression. Overall had positive experiences and the techs even tried to teach me how to do this myself as I wanted to save $. Anyway I called a couple of times this past week to find a good time to bring my dog in for this same service. I planned my day around the time the staff member recommended this past Saturday. Upon my arrival, a goth looking tech informed me that I needed proof of rabies update on my dog. No one had mentioned this in any previous visits when they saw my dogs or was not mentioned over the phone. I didn't have the proof with me as this is not my regular vet and had not been asked for this on any previous visit. The tech was very rude in my opinion, poor customer service skills, and her goth appearance was unprofessional and off-putting. I left feeling frustrated and will never return to this location again. This tech needs coaching and the place needs to streamline their expectations of customers so we don't have different expectations on each visit. I take my dogs to Animal Clinic North on Washington St and the service is actually cheaper.I will NEVER be returning to this location after this experience. I think the Banfields are going downhill as I also had a negative experience at another location in the Denver area.

Mar 04, 2025 · Keri FieldsHonestly so grateful for Dr. McComb and the entire Banfield staff. My goldendoodle got into some trouble and cut her paw. They were able to squeeze her in and stitch her up while providing me with advice on her care that worked for her needs. Unfortunately one of the sutures was pulled out because the come I purchased at PetSmart was too short so we had to go back in. But they were able to do the second procedure a bit cheaper and wrapped her paw to prevent it from happening again.
Jan 14, 2025 · Maddy StoutVery dissatisfied with my dogs level of care and the professionalism of Dr. Marquez-Dipaulo. My dog has been going here for about two years and every visit the quality of care seems to drop further and further below the standard of care. My dog has a rare, chronic, liver disease and is in a special study with CSU and Banfield works with our dog’s doctors at CSU. Banfield, on numerous occasions, has failed to communicate with us regarding our dog’s labs. Everything needs to be documented both from a scientific point of view as well as an owner point of view, so I know that what I’m doing to and for my dog is working or not. I’m no expert but I at least know big number= bad, low number= good. These are never communicated with me. My dog is an anxious one, but he’s a good one and I’ve put hundreds of hours into training him, but we still usually give him 100mg tablet of Trazodone for more invasive visits. Yesterday, I had forgotten to give him Trazodone and authorized Banfield to issue some to my dog. At no point did they communicate how much they were going to give him or even ask how much we typically give him for his visits. They gave him 3 times his normal limit and when I questioned why we were giving a dog with a severe liver condition so much of a drug that is hard on the liver she blatantly lied to my wife and I. She said, “Trazodone is not metabolized in the liver…” this is unequivocally false. I went to school for pharmacology to be a technician. I’m far from an expert, but I do have an above average understanding of drugs and their effects and their contraindications. Afterwards, they claimed my dog defected and urinated “all over everywhere”. Instead of calling me to tell me that my dog was not calming down or recommend rescheduling, they opted to sedate him for his scheduled ultrasound. So now my dog has been sedated as well as receiving 3 times his normal amount of Trazodone. When they called my wife to talk about my dog, again, Dr. Marquez-DiPaulo failed to communicate clear and concise information with my wife. Indicating that my dog was in end stage liver failure. This freaked out my wife and she called me crying at work. I left work early to be present when we picked up my dog. When I confronted Dr. Marquez-DiPaulo about her mishandling of the information, she basically said, “Sorry you misunderstood”. Deflecting any responsibility she had in the way the information was presented to my wife, scaring her. When I asked her about how she presented the information to my wife on the phone, she snidely remarked to me, “Were you on the phone?” My wife is very smart and detail oriented and she is very in tune with our dog’s condition. I have no reason to believe that she misinterpreted the doctor’s information and believe the doctor did a terrible job communicating with my wife as they have done in the past. When our dog was finally released to us, he could barely walk and was covered in poop and urine and smelled terrible. My wife and I had to take him into Banfield’s bathroom and clean him ourselves. When we got home he collapsed in the grass and went to sleep. He was so over medicated that I had to carry him inside to go to bed, he couldn’t even walk on his own. He is doing better this morning but is still largely experiencing the effects of Trazodone and sedation. Dr. Marquez-DiPaulo grossly over medicated my dog and was negligent in his care given his special condition. She failed to return our dog back to us in an acceptable manner and was rude and unprofessional to my wife and I. She is a terrible vet and I have never been so dissatisfied and irate with a service for my dog in my entire life. I will find better care for my dog elsewhere. -10/10 do NOT recommend.

Such a sweet Dr. She treated our new baby with love as her own & showed so much interest to give us information & make sure we didn’t have questions.
