EDIT- I cannot respond to your comment but my contact information has not changed. Thank you for reaching out, I would appreciate someone contacting me. My cat had an anal gland abscess that bursted and they did nothing the first day but ask me to come back and charged me almost $90 for the visit. I paid about $1000 for them to clean and drain the abscess. They ended up installing a drain that I had to make an appointment for them to remove 3 days later. I was told I wouldn't be charged for that and they assured me nothing would go wrong. The drain fell out on its own due to their poor stitching so I had to go in before the appointment and they once again did nothing but charge me for the "visit." When the drain fell out her stitches looked loose and I expressed that to them and asked if they could fix it but they said it was fine. The following day they were even more loose so I took her in yet again. They insisted the stitches looked "beautiful" and that they had told me that them coming loose and the drain falling out was completely possible (they had told me the opposite). I also expressed I didn't think it was fair to charge me for something that was their fault as that visit would never have happened if they did their job properly. They avoided my questions and comments and talked to me like a politician. They tried telling me it was my fault and that I misunderstood. They had attitude and only comped me for that second unnecessary visit. They were more than happy to see me go. Neither I or my cat received proper care and I couldn't be more upset with this whole situation. Do not bring your pets here. They just care about getting their money. There were other incidents like them pushing a bigger recovery cone which literally slid off my cat's head but they didn't care and just kept saying that's the size they recommended. Everything about this experience was horrible and I'm just waiting to file a malpractice lawsuit which isn't even the only one they're going through. Look it up. Do better for your pet and take them literally anywhere else.

They can be reached at (619) 397-0041 or +1 619-397-0041. When choosing a pet hospital for your animal companion, it's crucial to consider various factors, including the quality of care, the professionalism of the staff, and the overall experience reported by other pet owners. The available отзывs for the Banfield Pet Hospital in Chula Vista present a mixed picture, with some customers reporting positive experiences while others have expressed significant dissatisfaction.
One отзыв describes a deeply negative experience involving the treatment of a cat's anal gland abscess. The pet owner recounts a series of issues, including being charged for an initial visit where no treatment was administered, a costly procedure to clean and drain the abscess with a subsequently problematic drain placement, and further charges for follow-up visits related to complications allegedly arising from the initial procedure. The отзыв details concerns about loose stitches, a drain falling out prematurely, and a perceived lack of accountability and empathy from the staff. The pet owner expresses strong dissatisfaction, accusing the hospital of prioritizing profit over proper care and explicitly recommending against bringing pets to this facility. This отзыв also mentions alleged previous malpractice lawsuits against Banfield, which, while not verified within the provided information, serves as a serious point of concern raised by a former customer.
In stark contrast, another отзыв describes a "fantastic experience" with a new cat's first vet visit. This pet owner praises the staff for their kind greeting, quick check-in, knowledge, and gentle care. They specifically highlight the time taken to answer questions without judgment and the stress-free experience for their cat, who was "happy and relaxed" upon returning home. This отзыв offers a glowing recommendation and a five-star rating, indicating a highly positive interaction with the hospital.
Considering these two recent отзывs, it is evident that customer experiences at the Banfield Pet Hospital in Chula Vista can vary significantly. One отзыв paints a picture of inadequate care, potential negligence, and a focus on charges, while the other describes a positive encounter characterized by kindness, knowledge, and gentle handling of the pet. This discrepancy underscores the importance of considering multiple perspectives when evaluating a service provider.

Oct 03, 2024 · Melissa MaiaI just had a fantastic experience at Banfield Pet Hospital with my new cat! From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us kindly and checked us in quickly. They were incredibly knowledgeable and provided gentle care throughout the visit. I had a lot of questions, and they took the time to answer each one without any judgment. I was worried about how my cat would react to his first vet visit, but they made it painless and stress-free. When we got home, my cat was happy and relaxed, which speaks volumes about the care he received. I highly recommend for anyone looking for a great vet experience! Five stars!
Sep 18, 2024 · Sarah FI recently took my dog for his first wellness appointment at Banfield Pet Hospital, and unfortunately, my experience left a lot to be desired. The vet’s bedside manner felt quite standoffish. Each time I asked a question, she would start her response with, “If I can be honest with you,” which felt dismissive rather than reassuring. Of course, I want honesty, but it would have been nice to feel more engaged in the conversation. There was also a concerning mix-up regarding my dog's antibiotic prescription. She verbally indicated it was for 28 days, yet I only received a prescription for 14 days. I was surprised there was no suggestion for a follow-up appointment to check on my dog's progress after the treatment. Instead of feeling supported, I left feeling uncertain and unencouraged. Additionally, there was a miscommunication about flea medication. After I informed the staff that I would be getting it elsewhere, it was still included in my bill. I only noticed this after I left, which required an extra trip back to resolve the issue. Overall, this experience has led me to seek care for my pet elsewhere. I expected a more positive and collaborative approach to my dog's health, and sadly, I didn't receive that here. I hope future Banfield customers have a better experience.
Oct 02, 2024 · Jen RamosWorst Vet experience i’ve ever had. Don't go here unless you would like to be pressured into paying for services you do not need. They do not genuinely care. I paid the 85$ fee to be seen and was not able to get my dog treated due to all the unnecessary testing they were making me purchase worth $1,000 + . Left with no antibiotic for a simple UTI. Throughout the whole appointment i was pressured into paying for labs and major diagnostic testing. Also were advertising their insurance plans telling me to do their month payment plans.I went to another vet same day and was seen and got my dog medication needed for treatment with only a 160$ cost. Do your self a favor and go somewhere else that will not try to scam you but instead try to take care of your pets.
Dec 17, 2024 · Alexa PerezBanfield is getting worse. I came to pick up a written prescription ready 2 days ago and of course the day I get off a bit earlier, the doctor or person in charge leaves early and locks everything up. It's hard enough to get here with traffic, but you have no backup plan or other person that can help me other than me having to do this again and come back!? It's also not the first time. Maybe time to cancel the 2 insurance plans I have and go somewhere else.
