Went in today for a 7am drop off had a pretty awful experience. I showed up a day prior to pick up the anti-nausea pill to give him the night before his neutering surgery. At drop-off I was talking with the doctor about my dog and mentioned that he did get about an eighth of a cup of food, which is almost nothing, just so he doesn’t go starving all day long. They told me that I would have to wait 6 hours for the surgery and would do it towards the end of the day. Mind you I took him outside to go to the bathroom and he went, but not a lot which means what I fed him already went through his system. I was okay with a delayed surgery that same day, but I get a call 4 hours after drop-off saying they can’t do the surgery because he was being too “rambunctious” and couldn’t do blood sampling. How are these “professional” veterinarians not able to hold down or hold onto an 18 pound chihuahua. He has gotten his blood work don’t there before and had no issues at all. Dr. Cobarrubias was especially unprofessional when they bring him out and set a baggie of random medicine on the counter as if he needed it. HE GOT NOTHING DONE TO HIM AT THIS POINT! Not even a shaved patch where a needle would go, which tells me they didn’t care enough to even try. Ever since these new doctors came in, Banfield is the last place I would trust my animals to be at. My dog is going to Baker City in 4 days and I won’t be able to get him in for another 3-4 months because I won’t be with him. I have already waited for a while to get the appointment he had. They had no answers as to why they couldn’t proceed because I acknowledged all the “risks of vomiting and respiratory pneumonia” even though I knew his stomach was empty. I took my dog back and patiently waited for them to tell me no available times in the coming days unless they had a cancellation or a reschedule. THEY SAID ITS A 30 MINUTE PROCEDURE. How could they be so busy, when there is maybe 1 or 2 dogs/cats in the back (you can see all the kennels from the door windows in the lobby). I took my dog and left the waste of medicine in their counter. Absolutely no justifiable reason my dog couldn’t get his procedure done. Unprofessional and disappointed in their “care for pets” after they claim they believe all dogs should be neutered. Bet you they will deny it too. Never coming back unless my wellness plan covers 100% of the cost.

May 15, 2025 · John DoeI've always had a great experience here at Banfield with both of my pets that are on the wellness plan. Making appts is super easy & they always take great care of them if I need to drop them off for their appt. I have been with them for over 3yrs & highly recommended.
Aug 02, 2024 · June FarrarWe had an Emergency with our 15 yr old Chihuahua, We were unaware of this Vet and the are open 24 hours, so we called, they got us in right away . The Vet actually listened to us explain our dogs injuries and had a great bedside manner for lack of a better term . Most of all was the Cost,VERY Reasonable for an Emergency and in the middle of the night. I will definitely be going back to this clinic and will recommend to my friends and family. And our lil fur baby is doing much better now, Thank you.
Apr 20, 2024 · Heather WhitedoveI came here with my small Chiweenie, 8 pound dog for a dental cleaning and extractions. The surgery went well. The doctor called me and gave me some information once the surgery was complete and Zoe seems to be healing up fine it’s been two weeks. We just had her two week follow up today. She still has stitches that will dissolve on their own but nothing in her mouth is still open. It’s all healed. She had 12 teeth polled seven easily popped out like plucking eyebrows, but five needed to be cut into the bone to remove the roots, so it was a pretty serious surgery. I paid for the membership that included pre-dental cleaning x-rays and bloodwork and all of that but extractions were not included so the time of the visit I did have to pay almost $1200 out of pocket. All in all I’m satisfied because they took care of my little dog and she seems very healthy now, but I didn’t give them five stars because at no point did they give me a quote I had to ask the morning of if there would be any out of pocket so you can imagine my surprise of hearing it was gonna cost about $1200 on top of the membership and besides that every time three times as of today I’ve taken Zoe not once have they taken me into a room to have a private conversation or to allow me to meet any of the doctors or see them exam Zoe, which I found to be very uncomfortable. I’ve never gone to a vet for anything that I didn’t get to meet the physician in person and that every time we’re there they just take care of us right there in the lobby area instead of taking us into a room for privacy. If those few things change for future visits, I will gladly edit my review and get five stars.
May 17, 2023 · J “ZoeChloe” GI had a appointment for my 2 dogs for my 2 dogs to get a rabies shot. When I got there the price was different than on the phone but then it was explained to me, 2 exams had to be done. Dr. Danielle Behrends and her assistant were very good. They took care in the examination and talked to my dogs and explained to me what to do afterwards. I'm very pleased and will go back for another rabies shot next yr.
