On February 24, I brought my 2 month old puppy Sasha for her first appointment. I waited over an hour but tried to be positive. Previously, the breeder had given her the first round of vaccines. Dr Rollerson mentioned those vaccines were not the same and that we should start over. Sasha was given 2 vaccines that day. Later that day, she could barely stand and was extremely lethargic. I was told this was normal. Sasha passed away some hours later. Do NOT bring your pet here. These people do not care about you or your pet. I couldn't be more devastated.

Banfield Pet Hospital offers various veterinary services, which typically include routine check-ups, vaccinations, and treatment for illnesses and injuries. Online reviews present contrasting experiences at Banfield Pet Hospital. One pet owner recounts a deeply negative experience involving their two-month-old puppy, Sasha. According to this review, after waiting over an hour for the initial appointment, the attending veterinarian, Dr. Rollerson, advised restarting the puppy's vaccination schedule, despite the breeder having already administered the first round. The puppy received two vaccines on the day of the appointment and subsequently became lethargic, passing away hours later. The reviewer strongly advises against bringing pets to this hospital, alleging a lack of care for pets and owners and expressing profound devastation.

This account raises serious concerns regarding vaccination protocols, communication about potential side effects, and the overall well-being of young animals under their care. The tragic outcome reported in this review warrants careful consideration for pet owners seeking veterinary services for their puppies.

In contrast, another pet owner expresses consistent satisfaction with the care their pets have received at Banfield Pet Hospital. This reviewer states that the hospital "always goes above and beyond" for their pets and highlights the availability of prompt appointments for sick animals, often on the same day. They specifically commend Dr. Rollerson and Dr. Smith as "amazing doctors" and express gratitude for their service, as well as the helpfulness of the nurses. This reviewer feels that the staff genuinely care for their pets as if they were their own.

This positive review emphasizes the perceived dedication and attentiveness of some of the veterinarians and staff at Banfield Pet Hospital. The willingness to accommodate urgent appointments and the feeling that pets are cared for personally are positive aspects highlighted by this customer.

Based on the limited information provided in these two reviews, it is challenging to form a comprehensive picture of the environment and specific features of Banfield Pet Hospital. The positive review suggests a responsive approach to scheduling and a caring attitude from some staff members. The negative review, however, points to potential issues with wait times, vaccination protocols, and the handling of young, vulnerable animals.

No specific details about the physical environment of the hospital are provided in either review. Therefore, an objective description of the facilities or atmosphere cannot be accurately constructed based solely on this information.

Similarly, information regarding unique features or specialized services offered by Banfield Pet Hospital at this location is not detailed in the provided text. While the positive review mentions the ability to secure same-day appointments for sick pets as a beneficial aspect, it does not elaborate on other specific features of the hospital.

No promotional information, such as discounts or special offers, is mentioned in the provided reviews. Therefore, we cannot include any details regarding potential promotions for local users.

In conclusion, Banfield Pet Hospital in Houston, TX, offers veterinary services that include vaccinations and care for sick pets, with some clients reporting positive experiences regarding appointment availability and the caring nature of certain veterinarians and staff. However, another client recounts a deeply concerning experience with a young puppy's care and vaccination protocol, leading to a tragic outcome. These contrasting reviews suggest that experiences at this Pet Hospital can vary significantly. Prospective clients may wish to consider these differing perspectives and seek further information to make an informed decision about their pet's veterinary care.

I always bring my pets to Banfield because they always go above and beyond for my pets. If my pets feel sick they will make sure to get me an appointment as soon as possible, usually it’s the same day. Dr. Rollerson and Dr. Smith have always seen my pets and are amazing doctors. I am grateful for their service, as well as the nurses help. They do really care for my pets like their own !

I made an appointment for my dog for an issue with redness and irritation around her right eye. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. After waiting over an hour, a nurse came to ask questions about her condition. I explained to her. She said she would consult with the doctor and return, but we waited another hour with no updates. Finally, someone took her in, and after some time, Dr. Rollerson called me over the phone to discuss options. After I told her I didn’t want any extra tests, she HUNG UP on me while I was speaking. Considering we have the Active care plus plan with them, I was extremely disappointed with the lack of personal attention and care. If the doctor cannot spare the time to discuss concerns face-to-face or provide a reasonable solution, it undermines the value of the expensive plan we purchased. It felt like the priority was more about upselling additional services rather than addressing her immediate needs. After spending two hours at the clinic, we left feeling ignored and frustrated. I cannot recommend this location based on this experience.

My recent experiences at the Banfield Pet Hospital on Bunker Hill have been disappointing. The customer service has noticeably declined, with staff members appearing unprofessional literally not helpful at all and inattentive to my pet's needs. During visits, important information is often overlooked, leaving me feeling concerned about the level of care provided causing multiple trips and a waste of time. I believe there is a clear need for improvement in communication and overall service quality at this location. Steer clear and go to the San Felipe location or a different Veterinarian all together.

They don't disclose everything that is needed for your pet even when you tell them what the purpose of the visit is for. Instead, they tell you after the appointment and want to charge you another exam fee to make more money when the error is on them.
