Negligent level of care, not even sure if they actually fully examine the animals. Missed diagnosis that was confirmed by 2 other Vets in which they were surprised was not mentioned by Banfield previously. Horrible communication and access to records after hours. Makes sense why they have law suits against them, stay away from Banfield!

I recently visited this Banfield location as my kitten was unwell and needed a check-up. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by Alexa, who handled the check-in process seamlessly. Dr. Bissell and his team displayed a high level of professionalism and expertise, which immediately put me at ease. As this was my first time taking my kitten to a vet, I was initially nervous, but the entire experience was smooth and reassuring. I used a first-time free visit coupon, and the process was straightforward. To my pleasant surprise, I received a follow-up call from Lauren three days later to check on my kitten’s progress—a thoughtful gesture that truly stood out. I want to commend Alexa, Lauren, Dr. Bissell, and his assistant for their excellent service. Based on this positive experience, I highly recommend this Banfield location to other pet owners.

When my cat mother made the difficult decision to euthanize a beloved but very sick member of the family, Banfield Pet Hospital was terrific. We had a private and comfortable room room to talk to a caring veterinarian who answered all our questions .

Was given a wrong amount of a medication and when called to let them know the told me I must have given the wrong amount and must have given my dog extra even tho I know for a fact how much I gave to my dog. I am in Healthcare myself and know how to administer medication. I’m not an idiot regardless the front desk Christine had a rude tone kept cutting me off saying we don't need to go into any details whenever I tried to say something, basically stating it was my fault, they also can not given u pricing prior to your visit only after you check in, which at that point, you have to pay no matter what absolutely ridiculous. Practice manager was nice enough to offer me the medication that was missing at no cost But when I ask Christine, if there was going to be a charge for the medication that’s being replaced, she said and I quote “Well yea there is no cost because you said that we owe you the three pills” in a very rude manner not happy with the service at all. Banfield, specially the two Herndon locations have gone down in quality so much over the years. I’ve been taking my dogs here for years and the quality and customer service has just gone down tremendously.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at this clinic. I booked a teeth cleaning appointment for my dog a month and a half in advance, scheduled for 8:00 am. I dropped my dog off on time at 7:55 am and I received a call at 1:00 pm saying they were just about to start. At 3:00 pm they informed me they couldn’t work on my dog because they had prioritized other dogs ahead of ours. I live 50 minutes away with a pregnant wife and had managed my time, and other appointments, expecting this to be done by 5:00pm the latest. My dog was left fasting all day, hadn’t been walked for 7 hours, and was kept in a cage for absolutely no reason. Ironically when I went to pick my dog up they asked if I wanted to reschedule. Why would I make another appointment if they are going to prioritize other dogs ahead of mine with no explanation? How will I be sure that my appointment is respected and my dog will get treated properly? The concept of appointments seems to be something that this clinic does not respect or understand. If I had dropped my dog off at noon or later, or without an appointment I would understand that circumstances occur. But my dog’s appointment was the very first one, booked over a month ahead, first one on their board, and were the first ones in when the doors opened. I did my due diligence and they didn't meet me half way. Their lack of communication, empathy and respect for me, my dog’s well-being, and their poor management of appointments is unacceptable. I will not be coming back and do not recommend this place to anyone unless they drastically change how they treat their patients and customers.
