Banfield Pet Hospital

Overall, Banfield is a great veterinary hospital. The Vandalia Clinic is the best. My dogs have been cared for by this team, especially Dr. Burnett since they were puppies- 14 years. They treat my dogs like they are their own and provide comprehensive exams and treatments. I think the care they receive at Banfield is a contributing factor to their long lives. I have a 14 year old and 15 year old, still in good health and loving life.❤️

They are caring and compassionate. They really helped us when my grandkitten was sick. They explained options and worked within my son and his girlfriend’s budget. He’s almost a year old and Monday we took him to get his updated vaccinations. Even though he was nervous and kind of spicy, they were gentle. It’s very easy to set up an appointment and they are much more affordable than a lot of other veterinary offices.

These people prescribed my cat ear drops to be administered twice a day for 12 days, but only gave me enough drops for 7.5 days. (7.5mls) The vet then explains to me that he apparently didn't notice the vendor swapped his options, and they're now charging full price for a half size bottle. So, it'll just be an additional $60 for an already paid prescription following a series of already paid for procedures. "Whoops, my mistake, that'll just be an extra $60 a week later"... not acceptable. The vet then further explains that the full size 15ml bottle is widely available for $40, outside of his office, $28 for the 7.5ml. So, they're medications are straight double priced. So, I'll have to obtain a full size bottle from a third party, wait for the order to be approved through their office, wait for shipping, and START OVER my cat's ear treatment, which should be half done now. Sheer and blatant incompetence, if I'm giving the credit for this being an honest mistake. I'm not.

I was able to set up an appointment over the phone, without the need to log into a website, I appreciate how easy that was. Just as well, my dog was seen within a couple of days, I was able to drop her off before work and pick her up after.

The staff is amazing! Our tech Tim is the best and Dr. Parker is so knowledgeable and great with our giant and large breed dogs.
