Banfield Pet Hospital Introduce

Introducing Banfield Pet Hospital, located at 1301 E Gladstone St, Glendora, CA 91740, USA. As part of a well-established national network of Pet Hospitals, Banfield aims to provide comprehensive veterinary care for pets. For local users in and around Glendora, understanding the services, environment, and features of Banfield Pet Hospital is crucial when making decisions about their beloved animals' health.

Based on the available customer reviews, experiences at the Glendora Banfield Pet Hospital appear to be somewhat varied. One customer expressed a strong positive sentiment, stating, "Personally I Love this team for genuinely caring for my pets." This reviewer highlighted the team's commitment to keeping them updated and taking the time to explain necessary treatment options that align with their budget. This suggests that some pet owners find the staff at this location to be compassionate and considerate of financial constraints when discussing treatment plans.

However, another review presents a more critical perspective. This customer, whose dog was diagnosed with cancer and underwent tumor removal, expressed disappointment with the lack of direct communication from a veterinarian. They mentioned that "no contact visits since Covid apparently will never end," leading to an impersonal experience. This feedback points to a potential communication gap or a practice of minimizing direct interaction between vets and pet owners, which some may find concerning, especially in serious health situations.

The second reviewer also raised concerns about upselling, stating that it occurs "at every visit to the point where you have to guess at what is really necessary and what is just a money grab." This suggests that some customers might feel pressured to opt for additional services, making it difficult to discern essential care from potentially less critical recommendations. This perception can erode trust and make pet owners feel uneasy about the motives behind treatment suggestions.

Furthermore, this reviewer shared a negative experience regarding Banfield's wellness plans. They mentioned that downgrading a plan mid-year is not permitted without paying all remaining months due, even if the extra services are not utilized. This inflexibility in their plan policy led the customer to cancel their plans for both dogs, while still being obligated to pay for the remaining months. This highlights a potential drawback of their wellness plan structure that local users should be aware of.

As part of a national chain, Banfield Pet Hospitals typically offer a range of veterinary services, which likely includes:

  • Routine check-ups and vaccinations
  • Dental care
  • Surgical procedures
  • Diagnostic services (such as lab work and imaging)
  • Parasite prevention
  • Nutrition counseling
  • Wellness plans

The mention of wellness plans in one of the reviews indicates that Banfield actively promotes these as a way to manage the costs of routine care.

Regarding the "environment" of the Glendora Banfield Pet Hospital, the positive review implies a caring and professional setting, as the customer felt the team genuinely cared for their pets. However, the negative review doesn't provide specific details about the clinic's physical environment, focusing more on communication and billing practices.

In terms of "features," Banfield's key features often include their wellness plans, which are designed to provide preventative care at a predictable monthly cost. The convenience of being part of a large network with standardized practices could also be seen as a feature. However, the inflexibility of these plans, as mentioned in the negative review, could also be viewed as a drawback.

In considering "promotional information," the positive review, highlighting genuine care and budget-conscious treatment options, acts as a positive endorsement. Conversely, the negative review serves as a cautionary note regarding communication, upselling concerns, and the terms of their wellness plans.

For local users in Glendora considering Banfield Pet Hospital, it would be prudent to weigh these contrasting experiences. The convenience of a comprehensive service provider with wellness plans might be appealing to some. However, potential concerns about communication practices, upselling, and the rigidity of wellness plan agreements should also be taken into account. It may be beneficial to inquire specifically about communication protocols, the necessity of recommended treatments, and the terms and conditions of their wellness plans before making a decision.

To summarize, Banfield Pet Hospital in Glendora offers a range of veterinary services, potentially including wellness plans. While some customers appreciate the caring team and budget-conscious approach to treatment, others have raised concerns about impersonal communication, upselling, and the inflexibility of wellness plan policies. Local pet owners should consider these aspects when evaluating Banfield Pet Hospital for their pet care needs.

My dog was diagnosed with cancer and had a tumor removed and yet a vet never spoke with me. All of the no contact visits since Covid apparently will never end and it couldn’t be more impersonal. They are upselling things at every visit to the point where you have to guess at what is really necessary and what is just a money grab. Also, if you want to downgrade your plan mid-year, they will not do it without you paying all remaining months due even if you haven’t used the extra services. I cancelled my plans for both dogs today but still have months left to pay.

Scheduled online for both of my cats to get rabies vaccines. On the day of the appointment, they told us that we have to drop the cats off for a couple hours. We've never been there before, don't know those people, have never spoken to the vet, and our cats only needed a shot. Why on earth would we drop our pets off there for a couple of hours?? No one told us this in the many appointment confirmations I received. It wasn't online in the appointment scheduling system. I am shocked that people actually just drop their pets off with strangers for a couple of hours in a scary place. We canceled the appointments and will not be back.

The people at the Banfield Glendora may be well meaning, but the diagnoses they have my dog were wrong or lacking after a 2nd opinion. They told me they found a heart murmur. Separate vet couldn't find it. Banfield refused to clean my dogs teeth because they said they couldn't give her anesthesia due to the supposed heat condition. The care plan included teeth cleaning, but now I couldn't get my dogs teeth cleaned. 1 year later she had to have most of her teeth removed due to bad dental hygiene. I trusted them too long. They were wrong, and withheld care because of their error. And I still had to pay for a plan that I couldn't fully use. Don't take your pets here. Much better places.

Selena is an absolute Gem! She gave me great recommendations on multiple dog foods and helped me get a new prescription for my dogs food. Thanks Selena! The Petsmart employees could take a page from your book.
