I went to pick up some rodents because of a check-up scheduled through my job, and the receptionist was extremely rude. She explained she had a very bad day and she’s cranky, and got extremely huffy when I asked for proper documentation regarding their treatment. She said, and I quote, “We always give you the paperwork babe, I know your boss.” It’s literally my first month at this job, I dont know the process. Please talk to her about her attitude problem.

While specific details about the hospital's environment are best experienced firsthand during a visit, pet hospitals like Banfield typically aim to create a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for both pets and their owners. This often includes clean and well-maintained examination rooms, comfortable waiting areas, and potentially separate spaces to minimize stress for different types of animals. The focus is generally on providing a professional and reassuring setting where your pet can receive the best possible care.
Banfield Pet Hospital offers a wide array of veterinary services designed to cater to the diverse health needs of your animal companions. These services commonly include routine check-ups and wellness examinations, which are crucial for preventative care and early detection of potential health issues. Vaccinations, parasite prevention (such as flea, tick, and heartworm control), and nutritional counseling are also integral parts of their preventative care offerings. For pets that require more specialized attention, Banfield typically provides diagnostic services, including laboratory testing (blood work, urinalysis, etc.) and imaging techniques (such as X-rays). Surgical procedures, ranging from routine spays and neuters to more complex soft tissue surgeries, are often performed by their experienced veterinary team. Dental care is another vital aspect of pet health, and Banfield likely offers services such as teeth cleaning, dental examinations, and treatment for dental diseases. In times of illness or injury, they also provide medical treatments and supportive care to help your pet recover.
A significant feature often highlighted by Banfield and similar established veterinary practices is the continuity of care provided by their staff. One customer review specifically mentioned their positive experience with the consistent staffing, noting that it fostered confidence and trust in the prognoses, treatments, and medications provided. This stability in personnel can be particularly reassuring for pet owners, as it allows for the development of a strong veterinarian-client-patient relationship and a deeper understanding of the pet's health history over time.
However, it is important to acknowledge all feedback, and one customer review shared a negative experience regarding the receptionist's demeanor during a visit to pick up rodents for a scheduled check-up. The reviewer described the receptionist as rude and unhelpful, particularly when asked for proper documentation. This feedback underscores the importance of professionalism and courteous customer service in all interactions within a veterinary practice. While this seems to be an isolated incident mentioned in the provided reviews, it is a point that potential clients might consider.
As a pet hospital operating within a platform that may also offer pet-related goods, Banfield Pet Hospital likely provides access to a range of products to support your pet's health and well-being. This could include prescription medications, specialized diets, and other veterinary-recommended products. The convenience of obtaining these items directly from the hospital can be beneficial for pet owners.
Regarding promotional information, specific current promotions or special offers are not available in the provided text. It is advisable to contact Banfield Pet Hospital directly at (952) 898-4190 or visit their website (if available) to inquire about any ongoing promotions, wellness plans, or membership options that might be beneficial for your pet's care and your budget. In summary, Banfield Pet Hospital in Burnsville, MN, offers a comprehensive range of veterinary services, from routine wellness exams and preventative care to medical treatments and surgical procedures. Apr 08, 2025 · Andrea BeyingI was impressed that they have kept the same staff.. other places we've been to had high turnovers all the time in their staffing which did not make me feel confident or as trusting in prognosis, treatments or medications. Now I feel confident in ALL of that here;)
Dec 05, 2024 · Charlotte EastI brought my kitty in to be seen for a possible URI and other issues. It was extremely stressful for me as a cat mom for days and we got a misdiagnosis from another vet weeks ago. They squeezed us in knowing it was hard for us to find another vet available and got him in for an exam so fast. They administered tests and got us results quickly, at least within 20 mins. They were really informative, helpful and open about his diagnosis (which was indeed a URI) and made sure to give us information packets + extra medicine to last us a few weeks. I would highly recommend coming here! They know what they're doing and will treat your fur baby so well. Thank you guys!
Apr 14, 2024 · NaticaThis place is a joke. They took blood work on my cat and said it was all “normal” but it was not. It wasn’t until I took her to a previous vet that I found out that her bloodwork was very abnormal. The tech also asked me if my cat is on any flea and tick stuff. I replied no since she does not go outside and she replied and said, “well you do!” She was very rude about it. Banfield only cares about trying to sell you stuff and the price for everything is not worth it. I recommend Main Street vet in shakopee. This doctor has been in the field for over 40 years. Him and his assistant truly care about your pets. Don’t waste your time at Banfield.
Jan 07, 2024 · Minda NumainvilleEveryone here is great. Friendly, usually have appt's open within a week. Dogs always get treated great. I've been going to Banfield for 6 years with 5 different dogs and never had a problem. Monthly plans are great as well.
