I can't say enough wonderful things about everyone that I interacted with at this location. From calling in for an appointment (same day) to check in to check out. The vet that I spoke with was empathetic to our dog's pain and recommended reasonable treatment. This team is wonderful. Whiskey sends a big thank you!

Banfield Pet Hospital Introduce

Banfield Pet Hospital in Newcastle, Washington, located at 6920 Coal Creek Pkwy SE Ste 12, offers a range of veterinary services for local pet owners. As a well-known chain of pet hospitals, Banfield aims to provide accessible and comprehensive care for animals.

Based on the limited online feedback, the environment and specific services offered at this Newcastle location can be inferred. One customer reported a positive experience, highlighting the ease of obtaining a same-day appointment and the empathetic nature of the veterinarian who recommended reasonable treatment. This suggests that the hospital strives to be responsive to immediate needs and provide compassionate care.

The services likely include general veterinary care, appointments for illnesses and injuries, and potentially other routine procedures. A notable feature mentioned in a positive review is the availability of same-day appointments, indicating a focus on accessibility.

However, it's important to consider all available feedback. One detailed negative review described a deeply upsetting experience concerning the management of a dog with severe, chronic skin allergies and the process of considering euthanasia. This review raises concerns about the consistency of care, the communication between the veterinary team and pet owners, and the handling of sensitive end-of-life decisions. The customer expressed feeling that their opinion as the pet owner was not valued and described the outcome as the "worst vet experience" encountered.

Currently, no specific promotional information for the Newcastle location is available in the provided reviews. Potential customers are encouraged to contact the hospital directly at (425) 747-9602 or +1 425-747-9602 to inquire about their services, environment, and any ongoing promotions. Given the mixed feedback, it may be beneficial to have a direct conversation with the hospital staff to address any concerns and determine if their services align with your pet's specific needs and your expectations for veterinary care.

I’ve only ever left a few reviews, and they have only ever been five stars. This is the only time in my life I’ve ever felt the need to leave a negative review anywhere. My dog Calvin was incredibly ill. He had skin allergies his entire life, over eight years, that I constantly managed to keep him healthy. Over the last year he became unresponsive to medication and his skin issues worsened. Eventually, they got so bad, that he was extremely uncomfortable, had rashes everywhere, constant ear infections, and more. His body was shutting down and all he wanted was to scratch and bite himself. I spoke with the vet here about euthanasia and she told me she agreed that we could do it and we set an appointment to have it done. A week later, I showed up for the appointment under the impression that I was going to be putting my dog down because of his illness. At the appointment she told me we were no longer going to put him down and that she thought she could fix him with some new medicine. This was extremely confusing and upsetting as I was already grieving that week leading up to the day. I ended up buying the medicine she prescribed him because I didn’t know what else to do. Three days later, I left the house for an hour and when I came back, Calvin had scratched all the fur off of his face and head. He had cuts all over him and was in severe pain. I took him to the emergency vet and they put him down immediately. I am pretty non confrontational so I thought this was the best way to bring to her attention how badly she messed up. I took care of that dog for a decade, and I could tell he was about to die. That he was breaking down, and needed relief. I will never go here again. Worst vet experience and worst experience with a business I’ve ever encountered by far. I would go somewhere else that will value your opinion as the animals owner.

Warning from a real customer: Poor attitude, not careful, unreasonably charged! I needed immediate help with grooming my cat because I couldn't clean it up myself. I called the front desk, and he told me they weren't groomers but could help, so I came. According to the time and my needs, they helped to shave off some of the dirty hair. Just by shaving a tiny area of fur on my cat’s butt, they charged me $150 grooming fee. I'll accept the price because it seems to be the hospital’s rule. After paying, I checked on my cat again and he still had poop on his butt, stinky, and not entirely clean. I asked for better cleaning, so the front desk man just grabbed my cat's tail very rudely and wiped the cat's bottom very hard. So this is your $150 service? I asked him to be gentle, and he didn’t respond to my question and didn't change a bit. Bad attitude. Expectedly, he couldn't clean it either. I asked them to fully clean my cat, so a real doctor, who is nicer, more gentle and more professional than the front desk, was called over and took my cat. When the doctor returned, my cat still had a small amount of poop on its butt, which was still smelly and had several new scratches. The doctor said the scratches came from razors. I allow accidents and mistakes to happen, but the quality of service here is undeniably poor. For the third time, the doctor finally came back with a pretty-much clean cat. At least its butt doesn't stink this time. If you can’t handle this task, don’t say that you can help! And if you charge $150, do a service worth $150.

She was very sick. She couldn't walk or move. Everyone from the assistants, techs, and doctor was very helpful. Getting her out of the car and into a treatment plan to make her better. I'm so thankful to everyone. Maggie is doing much better.

I'm never getting pets again! They break my heart when they're not feeling well and they cost an arm and leg to take them to get better lol Grateful for the staff here, my dog is super anxious and they were super understanding and kind. My visit would've been $350 for an ear infection treatment and meds but after discussing with the doctor I was not able to pay that she wrote down the meds my dog needed and told me I can find them on chewy, and she would approve the prescription. I am soooo grateful 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
