Banfield Pet Hospital Introduce
Welcome to Banfield Pet Hospital, located at 4600 Chippewa St q in St. Louis, MO 63116, USA. As a local Pet Hospital, Banfield aims to provide a range of veterinary services for pet owners in the St. Louis area. While the provided information includes customer reviews that offer insights into their experiences, it's important to consider these perspectives when evaluating the hospital's environment, services, features, and any potential promotional information.
One long-term customer expresses strong loyalty to Banfield Pet Hospital, specifically mentioning Dr. Sita. This pet owner has been taking their dog to this location since puppyhood, spanning ten years, and continues to do so even after moving 25 miles away. This dedication speaks positively to the quality of care and the relationship built with the veterinary team, particularly Dr. Sita. The reviewer explicitly thanks the entire team for keeping their pug happy and healthy, indicating satisfaction with the overall health management provided over an extended period.
However, other reviews present a more critical perspective on the operational aspects of this Banfield Pet Hospital. One customer reported significant difficulties in contacting the hospital via phone, experiencing "super long wait times to speak with anyone." This delay in communication can be particularly concerning for pet owners seeking urgent care or needing to schedule timely appointments. The same reviewer detailed an experience of initially being told that the hospital does not save appointments for ill pets and the earliest availability was several days later. This policy seemed inconsistent with information received from other Banfield locations, which reportedly do accommodate appointments for sick animals. The situation was only resolved after the customer called back, at which point the local hospital changed their stance and allowed a drop-off the following morning. This inconsistency and the perceived "run around" raise concerns about the clarity and efficiency of their appointment scheduling process.
Another reviewer echoed the issue of long phone wait times and further highlighted "inconsistent information" received. Additionally, this customer pointed out "ever increasing prices" and difficulties in canceling their care plan, which reportedly required calling a 1-800 number and enduring more time on hold. These comments suggest potential challenges with customer service responsiveness, transparency in information, and the overall management of their service plans.
A separate review offered a mixed assessment, acknowledging that "the concept for this organization is good" and that "the vet was nice and felt like they did a good job." This suggests that the quality of veterinary care itself may be satisfactory. However, the same reviewer expressed significant concerns about the "execution of how their clinic is ran," describing it as "sub par at best." This broad criticism likely encompasses the issues raised by other reviewers, such as communication difficulties, inconsistent policies, and potentially other operational inefficiencies not explicitly mentioned.
Based on these reviews, the environment and features of Banfield Pet Hospital in St. Louis, MO, can be perceived as having both strengths and weaknesses. A potential strength lies in the quality of the veterinary staff and the care provided by individual veterinarians like Dr. Sita, who have fostered long-term trust with pet owners. However, potential areas of concern include the efficiency of their phone communication system, the consistency and clarity of their appointment policies, the transparency of their pricing and service plan cancellation procedures, and the overall operational management of the clinic.
Regarding services offered, the positive long-term experience of one customer suggests that Banfield Pet Hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, and treatment for illnesses. The mention of an "urgent appointment" request implies that they also handle more immediate health concerns, although the process for accessing such care appears to be a point of contention based on the reviews.
Promotional information is not included in the provided text. Therefore, it is not possible to comment on any specific offers or programs that Banfield Pet Hospital in St. Louis, MO, might be currently running. Local users interested in learning about any promotions or specific services are advised to contact the hospital directly.
In conclusion, Banfield Pet Hospital at 4600 Chippewa St q in St. Louis, MO, appears to have a team of dedicated veterinary professionals who, in some cases, build strong and lasting relationships with their clients and provide quality medical care. However, potential clients should be aware of the reported issues concerning phone communication, appointment scheduling inconsistencies, pricing, service plan management, and overall operational efficiency. It is recommended that local users considering this Pet Hospital for their pet's care weigh the positive feedback regarding veterinary care against the concerns raised about customer service and administrative processes. Direct communication with the hospital may provide further clarity on their current practices and address any specific concerns potential clients may have.
For local pet owners in St. Louis, MO, seeking a Pet Hospital, Banfield at this location offers veterinary services, but it is advisable to inquire about their current appointment procedures, communication protocols, and any service plans before committing to their care. While some customers have had positive experiences with the veterinary staff, the reported challenges in other areas should be taken into consideration when making a decision about your pet's healthcare provider. Contacting Banfield Pet Hospital directly at (314) 773-6700 or +1 314-773-6700 can provide the most up-to-date information and allow you to discuss your specific needs and concerns.

Jun 27, 2024 · Beth JablonskiSuper long wait times to speak with anyone on the phone. I called yesterday to make an urgent appointment for my pet and after repeatedly calling finally got someone to answer. They informed me they do not save appointments for ill pets and the earliest available would be Monday. I called other Banfield hospitals who told me they do save appointments and could get him in tomorrow. Upon calling my location back and asking them why I was getting the run around they changed their story and said I could drop him off the next morning. Beyond the long wait times on the phone, the inconsistent information and the ever increasing prices you can’t even cancel your plan with them without calling their 1-800 number (yay more waiting on hold). The concept for this organization is good, the vet was nice and felt like they did a good job but the execution of how their clinic is ran is sub par at best.
Dec 21, 2024 · Nick FruendThank You For Caring For My Kendrick. He seems to be satisfied and If he's satisfied then I'm happy. One more thing, he didn't receive his tag after his yearly exam.
Mar 13, 2025 · Prince 3Dee WashingtonThis isn't a bad pet hospital. The prices are a little ridiculous at times but when I call the doctor's office to ask questions about my dog to get some advice they always answer He's been going there on and off since he was a baby. Our experiences haven't been too bad, just mainly the prices for things
