Had a great experience here, they do not let you in the room / back with your vet so you need to wait in your car or head home ( if you live close ). We had a very great first time and plan on being back. Thank you for taking me on my same day appointment!

As a well-established network of veterinary hospitals, Banfield Pet Hospital is committed to providing comprehensive and high-quality veterinary care for your beloved animal companions. We understand that your pets are integral members of your family, and we strive to partner with you in ensuring their lifelong health and happiness.

While specific details about the environment of this Signal Hill location are not extensively described in the provided reviews, Banfield Pet Hospitals generally aim to provide a clean, comfortable, and professional setting for both pets and their owners. You can typically expect well-equipped examination rooms, a reception area designed for efficiency and comfort, and potentially separate areas for different types of care, such as surgery or dental procedures. The focus is on creating a space where your pet can receive the necessary medical attention in a safe and supportive environment.

Banfield Pet Hospital offers a wide array of veterinary services designed to address various aspects of your pet's health and well-being. These services commonly include:

  • Routine Wellness Exams: Regular check-ups are essential for monitoring your pet's overall health, detecting potential issues early, and establishing a baseline for their individual needs. These exams typically involve a thorough physical examination, discussions about nutrition and behavior, and recommendations for preventative care.
  • Vaccinations: Protecting your pet against common and potentially life-threatening diseases through vaccinations is a cornerstone of preventative medicine. Banfield will work with you to determine the appropriate vaccination schedule based on your pet's age, lifestyle, and risk factors.
  • Parasite Prevention and Control: Preventing and controlling fleas, ticks, heartworms, and other internal and external parasites is crucial for your pet's comfort and long-term health. Banfield offers various preventative options and treatment protocols.

  • Microchipping: Providing a permanent form of identification, microchipping can significantly increase the chances of reuniting with your lost pet.

A notable feature of Banfield Pet Hospital, as indicated in one of the reviews, is that pet owners may not be allowed in the examination room or the back areas with their pet during the consultation. This policy requires pet owners to wait in their car or return home if they live nearby. While this might differ from some pet owners' expectations, the positive feedback regarding the quality of care received suggests that this protocol does not detract from the overall positive experience for many.

Another significant aspect of Banfield Pet Hospital is the potential for continuity of care, especially for those who have relocated and have prior experience with the Banfield network. As highlighted in a review from a recent transplant to Long Beach, the positive experiences encountered at other Banfield locations were mirrored at the Signal Hill facility. The reviewer specifically praised Dr. Ann Tayamen for her attentiveness, thoroughness in answering questions, and exceeding expectations. This suggests a consistent standard of care across the Banfield network, which can be reassuring for pet owners who are familiar with their services.

The positive feedback also extends to the front desk staff, who are consistently described as amazing and helpful, even with different individuals encountered during various visits. This indicates a commitment to providing excellent customer service from the moment you interact with the hospital.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information provided for the Banfield Pet Hospital in Signal Hill. Banfield often offers various wellness plans designed to make routine veterinary care more affordable and convenient. These plans typically include annual check-ups, vaccinations, parasite prevention, and other essential services for a predictable monthly fee. It is highly recommended to inquire directly with the Signal Hill location about their current wellness plan options and any other promotions they may be offering to new or existing clients. You can reach them at (562) 427-7122 or +1 562-427-7122 to discuss your pet's needs and explore available options.

We just moved to Long Beach from Northern Cal and had amazing experience with Banfield. We were not sure how the change will be but although this location has different doctors coming in, we’ve had great experiences with each of them and Dr.Ann Tayamen has exceeded the expectation. She was attentive, took her time and answered all my concerns and questions. The people at the front desks has always been amazing, even if I’ve dealt with different people each time. 👍👍👍👍👍

Great staff, took care of my cat. She had some fleas and was able to pick up medication for her and now she is feeling much better. Also prices were reasonable.

Save yourself the headache. Everyone was very nice, but we found fleas on our dog shortly after leaving. Cleanliness standards need to be higher.

I Brought my 6-month-old puppy to this hospital and they recommended only a few drops for its eyes. After 2 days I called to inform them that my dog was still the same way and they told me I had to wait! now it is even worse. and they never called me to find out how my dog followed. . This could be a sign that this office's priority is money and not so much my pup. I difinitly recommend seeing another vet!
