Experience isn’t the best, I been a customer for over 12 years with Benfield (Wellness Plan). I Warn Everyone whenever you leave your Doggy there to get checked up they don’t actually check them up carefully. When I went to go pickup my doggy from her appointment they told me everything looks good nothing wrong, she looks good. I than Mentioned to them at the end when I was picking her up that she had a bump on her leg (in my head I was saying did they actually checked her because they never mentioned that an I had to bring it up)I honestly wonder what they do after we had this Covid incident and we no longer can be with them while they get checked up! I Lost my doggy(Bonita) :( because they never mentioned or checked her up well. (She Had a serious Pain in her stomach which was affecting Her respiratory system((Mass)) (Been going on for awhile honestly not sure how long it’s been happening) i Honestly Never seen my doggy act up she just been doing her normal thing. Than one morning that was it. I tried taking my doggy to benfield emergency called and called they said 2pm you can bring her in I didn’t have time for the wait it’s an emergency. Than found another pet emergency place took here in immediately than they told me the news. Your doggy has a Mass in her stomach looks like it’s been going on for awhile I said what no…………. I’m Really Sad/Mad/disappointed/I honestly don’t know what to do anymore about this issue… All I can say to everyone is please watch your doggy when you take them to Banfield since they don’t let you be with them when they get checked up.. I’m Heartbroken! (Bonita) Yorkie Terrier Mix. Last visit July 12, 2024

Banfield Pet Hospital Introduce

Welcome to Banfield Pet Hospital, conveniently located at 2750 Carl T Jones Dr SE Ste 1, Huntsville, AL 35802, USA. As a national Pet Hospital with a local presence in Huntsville, we offer a range of veterinary services, including our popular Wellness Plans. You can contact us at (256) 880-3332 or +1 256-880-3332 to learn more about how we can care for your pet.

Banfield Pet Hospital aims to provide comprehensive care through various services, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, and treatment for illnesses. A key feature of Banfield is their Wellness Plans, which offer a proactive approach to pet healthcare through regular exams and preventative care. One customer highly recommends the Wellness Plan, citing thoroughness and friendly staff during a granddog's comprehensive exam and a previous emergency visit for a skin infection.

However, it's important to consider all feedback. One customer with over 12 years of experience with Banfield and their Wellness Plan expressed significant concerns about the thoroughness of check-ups, particularly when owners are not present during examinations, a practice that became more common after the COVID-19 pandemic. This customer reported a tragic experience where a serious underlying condition in their dog was allegedly missed during a routine appointment, leading to a delayed diagnosis in an emergency situation at another facility.

Features of Banfield Pet Hospital include the availability of Wellness Plans designed for ongoing preventative care and potential cost savings on veterinary services. Some customers have reported positive experiences with the friendly and thorough staff, particularly during routine exams and emergency visits. However, potential drawbacks mentioned in customer reviews include concerns about the thoroughness of examinations when owners are not present and the handling of emergency situations, with one customer reporting a significant wait time for an emergency appointment.

Currently, no specific promotional offers were mentioned in the provided reviews. Local users are encouraged to consider the diverse range of experiences shared by pet owners and to contact Banfield Pet Hospital directly to discuss their pet's specific healthcare needs and to inquire about their current practices and Wellness Plan options.

I love Banfield Pet Hospital! I have taken my granddog, Nilla, to the Jones Valley location twice while dog sitting. Last year for an emergency when she had a skin infection, and this year for her comprehensive exam. The staff is amazing and super friendly. They are wonderful with Nilla, and very thorough. The vet provides a report of everything done during the visit. I highly recommend this Hospital and get the wellness plan for your pet. It is well worth it !

Took our newly re-homed senior Schnauzer for initial visit and checkup. Everyone was so nice and caring. Never did Hollywood feel anxious or upset. The veterinarian was very personable, patient, answered all my questions and was very thorough. This is one busy little place so be prepared for an extended time there even with an appt. Everyone gets the same thorough treatment. Would recommend.

Long time wellness plan customer. Staff is very friendly and this is nothing against them. Use your own personal judgement when considering Banfield. I don’t believe my pets best interest is the companies priority anymore. Reached out to corporate and local and after a few hours, I basically got a “we are sorry you feel that way what else can we help you with today”. You will just be another monthly subscriber that is locked into overpriced services until your subscription year ends. I’m not sending another email to banfieldcares. This seems to be reoccurring since there has been some turnover. To all of the staff that has been so good to us, thank you.

Horrible experience. I brought in my dog who gets scared at the vet and they refused to let me be present during the appointment. I told them to call me if there were any issues and I could come by to be present for the appointment. They refused and did not see her all day instead leaving her in a kennel for 8 hours without letting her out. I came by at the end of the day to get her to be told they did not treat her and demanded I sedate her for her next appointment. My other dog is on a wellness plan here. Do not do the wellness plan. I found out later that they charged my other dog $800 for a checkup and blood test. The plan sounds like a good idea but what they do is run every expensive test they possibly can to charge it to you for months. 6 months later I am still in debt for one appointment when I tried to cancel. DO NOT USE ANY Banfield's payment play. Stay away from this vet they are amateur and do not care for your dog but crave your wallet.
