Banfield Pet Hospital

I wanted to say thank you to all the vets and front desk staff for just making me feel very comfortable leaving my sick pup with them. I felt very heard as I was panicking on the phone and they managed to fit my dog into their busy schedule. I’ll have to edit this once I get the names of the employees that helped but I feel very grateful and didn’t want to forget to thank the staff as my dog is now back to her happy, healthy, annoying self again haha

Just got our kitten on the wellness plan there! Everyone is so kind, giving great advice since she was so young- still in milk when we got her. The plan is great since she is so little we can message if we have any questions at anytime, or go into the office everyday if we need! Just call and make an appointment! Which is great if you’re a first time pet owner. They are so helpful and greatly priced, they also have a pet hotel, grooming, and dog training at this location of Pet’sSmart! I love this location!

I am genuinely shocked that this facility is still allowed to operate under the guise of an animal hospital. Every time we’ve had a serious concern about one of our pets, they’ve referred us to an actual vet elsewhere, forcing us to pay out-of-pocket on top of the expensive plan we’re stuck with for our three dogs. Banfield has refused to let us cancel the plan despite their lack of care. This morning was the final straw—90 minutes after their scheduled opening, they couldn’t even be bothered to answer the phone, leaving my husband no choice but to drive to the facility just to get some answers. Their incompetence and unprofessionalism are beyond frustrating. Banfield’s plans are a complete scam. Their “vets” lack the basic competence to handle even routine exams, and they trap you in a plan that requires you to seek care elsewhere anyway. This place should be investigated for false advertising and misleading customers into thinking their pets will receive quality care. If you love your pets and live in the Old Town Scottsdale area, I strongly recommend The Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic on Thomas Road. They always answer their phones, offer better plans, and, most importantly, provide real, competent care when your pet needs it. DO NOT sign up for Banfield’s plan. They will lock you into a contract that you can’t escape from, fail to provide basic veterinary services, and make it incredibly difficult to stop auto-renewals. Protect your pets and take them elsewhere. I will be reporting them for investigation to the BBB and state veterinary board as soon as possible. Absolutely appalled by this facility.

The staff was very welcoming and kind. My dog was trembling when I brought her in to be vaccinated and totally calm when I picked her up. Coco had a recent back injury and was acting so distant she didn't want to sit on my lap or sleep with me. The vet explained that because dogs are pack animals, they don't want others to know when they're hurt because it makes them look vulnerable. Hence, they separate themselves until they've healed. That reassured me and explained a lot about my pup's behavior. In a few days she was back to her normal, cuddly self.

There is one location in Banfield that I trust with my fur babies. It is Scottsdale off of Miller. It has one of the best customer services. I will drive out of my way to have my fur babies to be seen there.
