they almost killed my dog. my american bully has been acting strange for a week, not eating as much, fatigued and with no energy. yesterday we took her over here so they could check her out. we told the doctor her symptoms, they were 8 hours with my dog. they took a blood sample to see if they could find anything wrong with her. nothing showed up. the doctor told us to wait 8 days with the vomit and diarrhea medication and if she wasn’t getting better to come back to have an x-ray. we pushed for the x-ray to be done that same day and still told us to wait. later that day she’s at home and she’s secreting this red pus from her privates and we get increasingly worried. today, we took called banfield in the morning to make an appointment for today, the doctor wanted us to wait until the afternoon to check her when we PUSHED that it was an emergency. when it was around the time we called again, a secretary asked us how our dog was, we told her the symptoms and she referred us to an “emergency hospital”. turns out they DONT DO EMERGENCY SURGERIES and banfield knows this and they still referred us there. we finally go to an actual emergency vet clinic and they checked her out, told us she has an infection in her uterus and that if we waited any longer to bring her in she would’ve died. banfield made us waste our time, waste 300 dollars on medications that were for the symptoms NOT the root of the problem. my dog is currently in surgery, and i just keep remembering our banfield doctor saying “i have a bad feeling that something is wrong with her, but im going to hold off on the x ray.” a uterus infection isn’t going to show up on a blood test. it only shows through an x ray or ultra sound. shame on this hospital. they did not do their job as veterinary professionals and rule everything serious out right then and there, instead they gave up and just went with the easy “solution” which was treating the symptoms.

Yesterday I take my puppy to Bandfield pet hospital the one located at 2100 chemical road in Philadelphia. The first thing I did was tell them that was only for get the plan and I give them the vaccine record, and the doctor get to my puppy a vaccine that she has all ready 4 days ago. The doctor do not check her record and the nurse did not tell him. Now my puppy is having bloody diarrhea and I’m stressed with this situación that I don’t know if will get future problem on my puppy.

After looking at some other options, I decided to bring my dog Eva here for a check up. She have a mass on her upper right molar that need to be removed and her teeth need to be cleaned as well. The cost for the teeth cleaning (including the surgery to remove the mass) is half of the cost compared to other vets that I've called. Also that day Eva got her rabies vaccination. Her rabies vaccination cost 30% cheaper that the other vet. Ok now let's talk about the WELLNESS PLAN. I read some of the reviews here and some of you are unhappy. They explain to me the benefit of the program. They make sure that I make a well informed decision. At the end, it's ME who decide if I want to sign up or not. They don't put a gun on my head to sign up for it and guess what... I didn't sign up for their wellness plan. Couple of days after our visit, they call me couple of times to check on Eva and to make sure everything is fine. My other vet (that I pay more for things) never do this. Unfortunately, Eva crossed the bridge at night (at my house). I didn't know what to do. I called them the next morning. They guided me through everything that I need. The next day I received something on the mail. They sent me a card with Eva's paw print. I'm very very grateful with everything they've done. Great customer service. Very nice - compassionate staff and doctor who are willing to listen to my concern and answer all my questions.
