The Dr's and staff are great and we've always gotten in and out quickly-no long wait times while your cat or dog builds up anxiety. There is a door in which to enter and a door in which to exit on the other side to minimize interactions between animals. The exam rooms are a bit small, but adequate. They have flexible hours such as evenings and Saturdays. Highly recommend this clinic.

Have been going to this vet office for years. They are professional, caring and compassionate .The vets and all the support staff are amazing! They explain everything thoroughly. They treat my pets like their own, and I wouldn’t think about taking my pets anywhere else! I recommend this practice to everyone I know. They have gone above and beyond for my dogs and cats. I am so glad I found them!

Maggie had to go to the dog ER 3x (after hours) because she started having chronic diarrhea, which ultimately lasted 1 1/2 months. The ER doctors were discussing putting her down, she was that ill. But when Dr. Poling took over, she made some simple adjustments to her diet, gave her a months course of meds. The result? 1. The diarrhea stopped within 36 hours. "Everything" in this department was back to normal. 2. She has put herself on her own feeding schedule; twice per day as opposed to one cup every day and a half. 3. Maggie is more alert and comes to me for playtime, something she had not done for years. I took my sick little dog to Dr. Poling. Now Maggie is living her best dog life ever, and I hope it will be years to come.

I can’t say enough great things about Avon Vet and Dr. Poling! My dog Buddy has been seeing Dr. Poling for the past three years, and she truly saved his life when he had pancreatitis. He’s always had a sensitive stomach, and thanks to her expertise, we’ve been able to keep his issues stabilized. Buddy is now going on 16 years old, and I genuinely believe that because of her care, he’s made it this far. She also diagnosed his weakened tracheal cartilage and helped us manage it so that it hasn’t gotten worse. Even though Buddy isn’t a fan of going to the vet, Dr. Poling always makes the experience as stress-free as possible for him. She’s incredibly thorough, always follows up with me when I call, and takes the time to answer any questions I have. It’s clear that she truly cares about her work and the animals she treats. I’m beyond grateful for everything she’s done for Buddy. He absolutely adores her, and I do too! I highly recommend Avon and Dr. Poling to anyone looking for compassionate and exceptional veterinary care.

ETA: Their offer to discuss my concerns now that I’ve left a public review, but not help me while my animal was sick, upsets me even more. It’s too late. I’ve already found a better vet. One who knows an infection when he sees it. One who doesn’t think the treatment for an infection is to cut off my cat’s tail. One who was horrified at the lack of knowledge at Avon Animal Hospital. One who was not condescending, even for a second. There are better vets out there. Don’t trust these people with your pet! They get one star because I can’t give zero stars. We took our cat up to have his tail examined, because he had an abscess and we wanted it drained. The vet advised us there is nothing she can do unless we want to remove his entire tail, which is major surgery. She advised that it was just a fatty cyst and we could ignore it unless it hurts him. She didn’t try to aspirate it or drain it during his appointment to make sure it wasn’t infected. And we foolishly trusted her. Cut to a couple months later. He’s never been in pain, but the abscess burst overnight with pus oozing and him licking the spot raw. It was clearly infected. He’s also puking from having licked up an abscess-sized amount of pus overnight and he’s not eating. Life threatening for a cat. So my cat has had an infection for MONTHS that the vet advised us to ignore. We’re lucky he’s not septic. The vet does not care and refuses to help when we call, delaying treatment for 3 days, even though they’re at fault for this being an emergency, since we tried to prevent this from happening. They advised us to call another vet instead. Clearly, they just wanted the fees they charged for the appointment to assess his tail, but they never wanted to help him and they certainly won’t help him now. If you care about your pet, avoid this vet.
