I recently had the pleasure of visiting Avocado Animal Hospital with my two dogs, and I can’t express enough how grateful I am for the exceptional care they received. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that my pets were in good hands. A special shout-out goes to veterinary technician Melanie, who went above and beyond to explain everything to me in detail. I was understandably anxious about my dogs’ condition, but Melanie took the time to answer all my questions and put my mind at ease. Her genuine compassion for the animals was evident, and I felt reassured knowing that my furry companions were being treated by someone who truly cares. One of the biggest advantages of Avocado Animal Hospital is that they are open on Saturdays. As someone who works during the week, this flexibility is a lifesaver. It allowed me to get the care my dogs needed without disrupting my work schedule. Plus, I saved some serious money by avoiding missing work or having to pay for a last-minute weekday appointment. I highly recommend Avocado Animal Hospital to any pet owner looking for a reliable and caring veterinary service. Thank you, Avocado Animal Hospital, and especially to Dr. Nissan, for making a challenging situation much easier and for providing such wonderful care to my dogs!

I have no experience about medical care here, but my wonderful white lab, Dagny, passed away on 3/1/25. She died before dawn and i had to wait until places opened to figure things out. (Rough) i brought her to them that saturday morning, and they were very nice and respectful. Two staff members came out to my truck and took her in for the cremation process. It was surprisingly fast (few days or so, less than a week) and I was merely expecting a box and the urn of my choice (included in the price ) but i got her back in a very nice classy blue shopping style bag with a paw on the front. They also did a small coaster sized plaster paw print of her front foot, which I will cherish forever. The 3rd party cremation company they use did all of this, and did a great job. There was a nice card included, and even the urn and the ashes themselves were in very classy blue velvet pouches. Then a week or two later, I even got a card in the mail that was hand signed by every employee at the vet! I know it is just another day at the office for them, but it was very nice, classy, and touching. So again, I cannot really review the vet health care, but they handled the after life care wonderfully. Highly recommend. If they took this good care with my DEAD dog, I can only imagine they would be equally great with the ones that are still wagging tails. Thank you, avocado animal hospital.

Our family is so grateful to have found Dr. Nissan and his entire team of healers. Our dogs have been on schedule with their vet appointments since birth. We thought we were getting excellent care from another local vet, but we were not. Dr. Nissan found cancer that should’ve been identified sooner. In addition, her incisors(🦷) were infected and had to be removed. Our dog just had her tightrope ACL surgery, which was a complete success. Dr. Nissan is a gifted surgeon and truly cares about his profession and patients. I have seen reviews about money and costs which is always an issue, however, owning a pet is a huge responsibility and one should plan accordingly. 🙏 With gratitude, love, and light to the entire staff at Avocado Animal Hospital! 🐶🦴💜

After confirming 3 separate times that they would call me before extracting any teeth from my cat, they ended up extracting five teeth without getting my consent first. Their excuse was that they were busy with other cases and “dropped the ball” with communication, and even showed me x-rays from another patient to prove there was an emergency in office. (I’m very sorry to that animal, but an emergency in office doesn’t constitute ignoring protocol and not informing me of something as serious as teeth extractions, after telling 3 times they would inform me before doing anything). They also saw my cat 7 months prior and didn’t mention anything about dental disease, just recommended to “consider a teeth cleaning” with no urgency. 7 months later, my cat has 5 less teeth. If I had been informed this was a serious issue from the beginning, I would have sought treatment immediately. I dropped off my cat at 8:30am, and after five and half hours of hearing nothing, I called and was told she would be going in to her surgery soon. She ended up going into surgery at 2:30. She had to fast overnight, so she ended up not eating for nearly 24 hrs while waiting in this vet clinic for the procedure from opening to close. The wait time is also horrible. I waited over an hour to be seen with an appointment. And it took over 45 minutes of waiting to just pick up my cat after the procedure. Not needing to speak to a vet, just to pick up my animal, after showing up at the time they gave me for pickup. Another small thing for those still on the fence, the doctor doesn’t typically examine your pet in front of you. A vet tech or nurse will come into the room with you and do the initial examination in the room with you, but then they take your pet back to see the doctor without you. Truly felt strange to me to do it this way. This clinic feels like they are always pushing services and tests, constantly trying to get more money. I would not recommend this vet at all, and I wish I saw some of these other reviews sooner.

I made an appt. to have my girl or down. Arrived with her and was told that they like to try and save the dog and that it would start with almost $2k in tests. Or family knew she was very sick, hence the appointment and tough decision. This made us feel unnececarily guilty. Then once decided with the doctor that we understood that she was ill and that we needed to our her to sleep we were given 2 options. One for cremation which was more expensive and another to not have her cremated. The nurse had us sign the form. We elected not to cremate. Once everything was over and we were in tears I was given significantly more expensive options at checkout. I asked where the form with the amount that i agreed to was and the gal knew nothing of it.. This felt incredibly cruel and like we were being taken advantage of in our time of extreme vulnerablility. The doctor was kind to my girl. I'll give them this. I DO NOT recommend them for end of life services.
