What an absolutely wonderful place to take your animal. We had picked her up on the 22. She was doing really well for a couple of days. Ended up going back on the 1st. She was filling with fluid. The staff was amazing. The doctor laid it out plain and truthful. Even though we had to make that decision. We felt that it was the best for our furbaby. Thank you to all the techs, vets, specialists and the front desk who we had the pleasure of meeting. You Rock

Only go here if you have a true emergency. They will try to get you to spend as much money as possible. In the exam rooms they have brochures about how to finance or get credit for over priced procedures. We took our pet in for an ultrasound that would be about $600 elsewhere, and were charged $1000. The ultrasound turned up a very concerning issue. So, they recommended and $8,000 CT scan to see if and $8,000 operation might help extend our pets life. This was a dog that was 10 1/2 with and average life expectancy of 11 and had other serious conditions. So, not a great candidate for $16K of medical procedures. But that was the hard sell from the vet. And because we declined that, other things that might have helped our dog were not offered. We are working with our neighborhood vet and our beloved pet is being appropriately cared for in her remaining days. They seem like nice people, but they only want your money and will prey on your love for your pet. The primary goal is to bleed you dry, your pet is secondary.

On March 1, 2025, my dog and I were attacked by two Pitbulls. All the time that I’ve ever had pets I’ve never had an emergency like this thank goodness. Wasn’t sure where to go so I googled and found avets in Monroeville. We were able to check in my dog when we arrived. We had called prior to let them know what was going on. They had taken my puppy back and examined him. It ended up in the long run that he needed surgery due to the injuries that he sustained. They were very informative of the whole process. They called to update us each Day. The staff was friendly when I went to see my puppy. They explained everything very well. They answered every single question that I had. Anytime I called they would reassure me that he was doing well. It was quite the scary event, but Avets made it a little bit easier for me. Thank you for taking such good care of my boy and saving him.

I can’t even begin to comprehend how disgusted I am by Avets. Our Aussie had been vomiting all day. Then in the afternoon he started bleeding from his bottom. We called and explained what was going on and they told us to come in. It was Sunday, and they were our only option. We arrived and got triaged quickly. We were told by the tech that there were four cases ahead of us, however, since our dog had severe vomiting and bleeding that we would be expedited. Well, guess who sat in the waiting room after that for nearly five hours, on top of paper towels and pee pads? Yep. Our dog. A dog that came in after us with a simple sore paw was seen before us. We were in the waiting room for so long that one of the two vet’s shift ended. At one point, he became unresponsive and his lips went cold. They had someone come to the waiting room, take him back, and just simply check his vitals and bring him back out to us. He continued to decline from there. We are finally seen and he starts throwing up in the room. They come and take him for the ONE doctor working to examine, and leave us in a room with vomit on the floor. Doctor comes in and says X-rays are needed, and blood work wasn’t completely necessary because they would treat the hydration just the same. So we opted for getting the X-rays. X-rays were fine and they gave him SubQ fluids (and stated that he was NOT DEHYDRATED), anti nausea meds, and sent us on our way. They also stated the bleeding “might become worse before it gets better.” $990. NINE. HUNDRED. AND. NINETY. DOLLARS. This morning, our dog was even more lethargic, and his bleeding had gotten much worse, worse than I knew it should be. Now being a weekday, I called our vet (Banfield in Greensburg) and got told to immediately bring him in. He is now hospitalized there, with crap lab levels, needing IV fluids. The SubQ fluids from the night before didn’t even touch him. He most certainly WAS dehydrated. If I had waited for the bleeding to “get worse before it gets better…” I don’t even want to think what would have happened to him. So here we are, $1600+ in, and the first $990 of that was for them to do jack all. $210 of that was for an emergency fee. Which we think is asinine considering we were NOT TREATED LIKE AN EMERGENCY as we should have been. I can’t wait for your generic reply to this review telling me why yall do what you do and why yall charge what you do. How about you reach out to me and offer a partial refund since Avets did quite literally NOTHING for our dog. Attached are pictures of the check in board with when we clocked in (Milo) and the time that the picture was taken. Mind you we were there for an hour and a half AFTER that. Also attached are pictures of my dog’s bleeding that was much worse the following morning, and him being left in vomit on the floor.

Dr Sigut is the best!! My dog was in the ICU for 6 days after some post op issues (not the surgeon’s fault). My dog was in very critical condition and was given a 50% chance of coming home. I was very anxious the entire time. She was with a ton of the doctors during her stay. Dr Sigut was with her for a few days and she went out of her way to call me each night prior to leaving for updates good or bad. She organized visitation daily so I could see her while she was in the hospital and she was very patient with me and my family. When we came back for follow up after discharge, which was scheduled with a different department, Dr. Sigut went out of her way to pop in and check on us. Otherwise, this is a very expensive clinic and with unforeseen complications my bill end up being almost triple what my initial consult was, and there are no payment plans other than care credit/scratch pay. However, they are very quick with providing proper information to pet insurance to get claims taken care of.
