I have visited this vet twice, and after my first experience, I knew I would never return. I only went back because my dog needed a booster shot after receiving her first Lyme disease vaccine. I recently moved to the area and have two dogs. One of them couldn鈥檛 get an appointment with my new vet, whom I love, because they had no availability, so I decided to try Aurora Pet Hospital. While the veterinarian and technicians are nice, the front office staff is extremely unfriendly and cold. Additionally, they charge premium prices. Therefore, I do not plan to return. - Naomi M.

Welcome to Aurora Pet Hospital
Aurora Pet Hospital, located at 410 Olean Rd, East Aurora, NY 14052, USA, serves the local community as a Pet Hospital providing veterinary care for animal companions. They can be contacted at (716) 655-0305 or +1 716-655-0305 for inquiries about their services or to schedule appointments. As a Pet Hospital, they aim to address the medical needs of pets in the East Aurora and surrounding areas. However, a review of recent customer feedback reveals a mixed experience, with positive interactions with the veterinary staff contrasted by concerns regarding the front office and pricing.
Information regarding the specific environment of Aurora Pet Hospital is partially discernible from the provided reviews. One pet owner humorously noted their cat's apparent comfort within the clinic, mentioning an "emotional support sink" and an "emotional support wall." While lighthearted, this suggests that the physical environment might be designed to be somewhat calming or at least not overly stressful for pets. However, the other review does not comment on the physical space, focusing instead on the staff interactions and pricing.
As a Pet Hospital, Aurora Pet Hospital likely offers a range of veterinary services typical of a general practice. These often include routine wellness examinations and vaccinations to help maintain the health of pets. Diagnostic services, such as laboratory testing and imaging, are usually available to aid in the diagnosis of various medical conditions. Treatment for illnesses and injuries, as well as surgical procedures, are also common offerings at a veterinary hospital. The fact that a pet owner brought their dog in for a Lyme disease booster shot indicates that they provide preventative vaccinations. However, the reviews do not offer specific details about the full scope of services provided.
The customer reviews for Aurora Pet Hospital present a somewhat conflicting picture. One reviewer, Naomi M., shared a negative overall experience despite acknowledging that "the veterinarian and technicians are nice." The primary issues highlighted were the "extremely unfriendly and cold" demeanor of the front office staff and the perception of "premium prices." This negative experience after two visits led this pet owner to conclude that they would not return, despite needing a convenient option due to their new location and their preferred vet's lack of immediate availability. This feedback suggests a potential disconnect between the positive interactions with the medical staff and the negative interactions with the administrative staff, which can significantly impact a client's overall satisfaction.
In contrast, the other reviewer had a seemingly positive experience, at least concerning their cat's comfort and the overall service ("everything was great"). The humorous anecdote about the cat finding comfort within the clinic might suggest a pet-friendly approach by the veterinary team. However, this review lacks specific details about the services received or the cost. Therefore, it's difficult to fully reconcile this positive, albeit brief, comment with the more detailed negative feedback regarding the front office and pricing.
Based on the available feedback, the features of Aurora Pet Hospital appear to include a potentially comfortable environment for pets and a team of "nice" veterinarians and technicians. These are certainly positive aspects that could attract pet owners. However, the significant concern raised about the unfriendly and cold front office staff is a major drawback that could deter potential clients, as the front office often serves as the first and last point of contact and significantly influences the overall perception of the hospital. Additionally, the mention of "premium prices" suggests that the cost of services might be higher compared to other local options, which could be a deciding factor for budget-conscious pet owners.
The positive comment about the veterinarian and technicians being nice could be seen as a form of soft promotion, suggesting a caring and competent medical team. Similarly, the anecdote about the cat's comfort might appeal to owners of anxious pets. However, the negative feedback regarding the front office staff and premium pricing significantly tempers any potential promotional value. The explicit statement from one reviewer that they do "not plan to return" serves as a strong caution for potential new clients.
For local users in East Aurora, NY, considering Aurora Pet Hospital as a potential Pet Hospital for their animals, the available reviews present a mixed bag. While the veterinary and technical staff are reportedly pleasant, the negative feedback regarding the front office's unfriendliness and the perceived premium pricing are significant concerns that should not be overlooked. Pet owners who value a welcoming and friendly experience from all staff members, including the front office, and who are mindful of costs, may want to weigh these factors carefully. It might be prudent to inquire about pricing for specific services upfront and to consider whether the reported issues with the front office are a concern for their individual needs. While the medical care itself may be satisfactory, the overall customer experience seems to be negatively impacted for some by these other factors.

Apr 22, 2025 路 Naomi ChampagneBiscuit, my cat, loved it. (As much as a cat can 馃ぃ) He sat in his emotional support sink and then found the emotional support wall. Jokes aside, everything was great.
Mar 19, 2025 路 patricia hewittGreat pet hospital and staff. I have been taking my dog to the Aurora Pet Hospital since 2013. I am thoroughly impressed with the veterinarians (especially Dr. Meisner) and staff. They have always been receptive to any of my concerns and questions. My dog is very nervous and can be reactive under stress. They have worked with us and have made his visits positive. He actually seems to enjoy going to the vet. I am grateful that I take my dog to them for his medical care. I strongly recommend Aurora Pet Hospital to other pet owners for their pet care.
Mar 29, 2021 路 Melanie ConnellyThis place is the best! I have searched around for a while trying to find a good vet that fits my dog. And when I found this place I knew right away that we鈥檇 stay here for the rest of the time my dog Floyd was here with me! Dr. Diaz is Floyd鈥檚 main provider so far and he has always been amazing, very thorough and compassionate. And I like that he doesn鈥檛 beat around the bush and is straight forward. My dog Floyd loves him!! And I think the prices are fair. They worked with me a lot when Floyd tore his acl and made it way more affordable for me. Definitely would recommend to anyone looking for a vet!
