Atlantic Veterinary Clinic

We had to recently put our beloved Bruiser down as he got to the age where there was nothing left for us to do to keep him with us. Atlantic Veterinary and their staff were amazing. Kim and Claire at the front counter were very warm and compassionate. Dr Nancy and her assistant Lizette were both so compassionate and kind with the way they helped us get through this trying time. Their kind words and the way they handled this was very comforting and made it easier for my wife and I to get through it. Thank you again for everything!!!

I took my dog to get her vaccines here, and within 2 months, she was diagnosed with Stage 5 Lymphoma and passed away five weeks later. She was 7 years old and had been late on her vaccines, which I was transparent about. I did my research after, and apparently, for older dogs, you're not supposed to give all vaccines at once if they're late on their vaccines. Instead, you're supposed to treat them like puppies and basically start over. However, the vet gave her whatever she gave her, and now my little girl is gone! I did my research, and the vaccines (when not administered correctly) can trigger all sorts of responses from the immune system. This vet ignored the age, the fact that she was late on the vaccines, and just gave her everything all at once to charge more money. This place is not a good place! The practice is not taken care of, it's messy and dirty. Moreover, the amount of bad reviews I saw after all this happened is unreal! My little girl was robbed of her life, and I blame these people. They don't care about your dog; all they want is your money!

I can not thank Dr. Fell, Dr Nancy, Lisset, Jo, Ryan and the rest of the staff enough for their devotion to save my dog Koda from an unexpected emergency. They were all very caring when giving diagnosis and treatment options. I'm so grateful for this entire staff! This is the only place I will take my dog for care and the only place I'll ever recommend 100% I usually do not comment if I do reviews if I even do them but this place deserves all the praise and recognition. I still can not thank the entire team enough.

If I could rate this place less than 1 star, I would. My recent experience with here was deeply disappointing and distressing. I recently relocated and tried out a groomer. Unfortunately during her visit, the groomer cut her paw pad and in result rushed her to this veterinary clinic. My experience was far from satisfactory. I had to authorize sedation for my dog without seeing her during the procedure and did not see her again until the stitches were complete. They did not ask for her birthday or any medical history, nor did they have me fill out any necessary forms. I had a follow-up appointment scheduled, but they called to inform me that the doctor had called out sick. Despite understanding that they were not responsible for the initial injury, it was unacceptable to be assigned to a different doctor who was unfamiliar with my dog’s case. Like any pet owner in this unforeseen circumstance, I expressed my frustration over the phone and demanded to be seen that day with any doctor. When I arrived three ladies were at the front and displayed hostility. They refused to let me be present when removing the bandage and initially refused to provide medical records. When they finally did give me the records, they included an irrelevant statement accusing me of being abusive, which is not relevant to the medical history of my pet. Aside from the lack of professionalism and customer service, they also lacked in supplies. They handed me my dog with no information to care for the incident, didn't take pictures of the stitches, didn't provide the right cone for her to heal properly. Based on my ordeal, I strongly advise you to avoid bringing your pet here. Your pet deserves better care and professionalism.

Based on our familys experience i would not recommend this clinic. I had to edit this review from my original one after experiencing many different types of issues. Poor communication, lack of care and concern. Our puppy is very sick and they couldn't even call with test results. I had to call 4 times after being told i would get a phone call back from the vet himself. We paid for several different tests but the answers were never there or we needed another test .I was told things by their Vets that was not followed through on , leaving our puppy throwing up acid and losing weight when they know he has a serious liver problem. They did not try to get the puppy into a hospital which would be normal procedure when the wait is months or weeks out. The vet lied to me on the phone about a tech calling us with results when no tech had called. She couldn't answer any of my questions and refused to give our message to the vet who actually was involved with our puppy. She acted like i was wasting her time on the phone. We would call many times and no one answers the phones. You pull up outside the clinic and are told to call , no one answers the phones. Ive seen other customers irritated about this as well, not just us. If you ring the doorbell the front receptionist is less than thrilled she has to get up out of her chair and go to the door. We have a surgery scheduled and are left with no answers to our latest tests. This is not proper care , not proper wrap around care . Now we are left to find a different veterinary clinic in the middle of our puppy being very sick. He cant even eat . They are quick to charge high prices for services and then do not follow through. I encourage people to report these experiences because it helps other families from going through the same horrible experience. I also called twice to inform the office manager about everything we had experienced and both times no office manager called us back. should have left this veterinary clinic a long time ago.
