You are so kind, gentle, loving and caring with her. It鈥檚 very clean and neat inside for the animals. They take the time to explain everything and there is no hidden cost. You are so reasonable with your prices that people can afford to take their pets there. Thanks again for helping all the beautiful animals and making sure they are healthy. 馃榾馃榾

Atlantic County SPCA Introduce

For residents of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, and the surrounding areas seeking a "Pet Hospital" that also operates as an animal welfare organization, the Atlantic County SPCA, located at 324 Steelmanville Rd, Egg Harbor Township, NJ 08234, USA, presents a unique option. This facility can be contacted at (609) 927-9059 or via their mobile number, +1 609-927-9059. Understanding the services, environment, and features of the Atlantic County SPCA requires considering the perspectives shared by individuals who have entrusted their beloved animals to their care.

One customer offers a highly positive account of their experiences with the Atlantic County SPCA. They express gratitude to the staff for their hard work and consistently bring their rescue dog, Joy, for essential veterinary care such as shots and dental work. This individual highlights the kindness, gentleness, love, and care shown towards their pet, emphasizing the clean and neat environment within the facility for the animals. Furthermore, they appreciate the staff's thorough explanations and the transparency in pricing, noting the absence of hidden costs. The affordability of the services is also commended, making veterinary care accessible to more pet owners. This positive review paints a picture of a dedicated and compassionate team focused on the health and well-being of animals.

However, it is crucial to present a balanced perspective, and another customer shares a significantly contrasting and negative experience. This review strongly advises against visiting the Atlantic County SPCA, detailing an upsetting encounter following their kitten receiving shots and being spayed. According to this account, the kitten exhibited extreme fear and skittishness for days and even weeks after the procedure, a stark change from her behavior before the visit. The reviewer mentions being informed that the kitten was "difficult" (attributed to being an indoor cat unfamiliar with many people) and that the staff resorted to "boxing" her, the exact nature and implications of which remain unclear to the reviewer. This customer expresses deep concern about the treatment their kitten received during the surgery and the subsequent recovery period. Additionally, they report an unexpected charge added to the bill at the end of the service for the kitten being "difficult," which was not discussed beforehand. This negative experience raises serious concerns about the handling of animals, communication regarding procedures, and transparency in billing practices.

Considering the platform category "Pet Hospital," the Atlantic County SPCA does offer veterinary services, as evidenced by the administration of shots, dental work, and spaying procedures. The positive review suggests a clean and well-maintained environment for the animals under their care. The feature of "reasonable prices" is also mentioned as a significant benefit, potentially making essential veterinary care more accessible to a wider range of pet owners in the community. The staff is described by one reviewer as kind, gentle, loving, and caring, taking the time to explain treatments and costs.

However, the negative review introduces serious counterpoints. The alleged use of "boxing" as a method to handle a fearful kitten raises questions about the facility's approach to animal handling, particularly for animals experiencing stress. The lack of communication regarding this method and the unexpected additional charge for a "difficult" animal point to potential issues in transparency and customer communication. The lasting negative impact on the kitten's behavior, according to the reviewer, is a significant concern regarding the quality of care and the potential for causing undue stress or trauma to animals.

Given the conflicting nature of these two reviews, it is challenging to definitively characterize the overall environment and services of the Atlantic County SPCA. While one customer experienced compassionate care, cleanliness, and transparent pricing, another reported a distressing experience with perceived mistreatment and unexpected charges. Local users considering this "Pet Hospital" should be aware of these differing perspectives.

Currently, there is no promotional information explicitly provided in the text. Individuals interested in learning more about the Atlantic County SPCA's services, fees, or approach to animal care may wish to contact them directly via phone or visit their facility to form their own informed opinion. It would be prudent to inquire about their animal handling protocols, especially for potentially anxious animals, and to clarify all costs before proceeding with any services.

In conclusion, the Atlantic County SPCA in Egg Harbor Township, NJ, operates as a "Pet Hospital" offering veterinary services such as vaccinations, dental work, and spaying. One customer review praises their kind and gentle staff, clean environment, transparent and affordable pricing. However, another review presents a starkly different experience, alleging mishandling of a fearful kitten, lack of communication, and unexpected charges. Potential clients should consider both perspectives and conduct their own due diligence to determine if the Atlantic County SPCA aligns with their expectations for veterinary care and animal welfare.

If i could put 0 stars i would! Please read if you are thinking about coming here! DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! I will NEVER EVER come here or recommend this business. I brought my kitten there to get her shots and to get fixed, and after picking her up i noticed she was absolutely petrified. They told me that she was being difficult, obviously shes never been around other people she is an inside cat), so they told me they "boxed" her. I dont know exactly what that means, or how they actually treated her during her surgery. But afterwards- FOR DAYS my kitten was so scared, and just overall petrified. She freaked out when anyone came near her or tried to touch her. Even now weeks after she is completely healed from surgery, she still is skiddish and just overall not the same kitty i had before i brought her here! All i can say is that i will NEVER bring another one of my animals there EVER AGAIN, or recommend them to ANYONE!!! Also they randomly added in a charge for her being difficult at the end of the service which was not talked about beforehand. You people are horrible and i hope everyone sees this review before coming to you. I am genuinely disgusted with how you treated my kitten. You people should not have a business.

Told my grandmother that her cat was perfectly healthy and nothing is wrong with him when she took him in (due to losing weight) & he died two months later from severe kidney issues. Was told from his real vet if he had help earlier they could have done something.

These ladies are nothing short of amazing! They have seen me in my most vulnerable of times, ALWAYS squeeze my babies in when it's something that cannot wait. They are kind & compassionate. They literally SAVED my cats life when she had pyometra, with a surgery that otherwise would have costed me 3,000-6,000$, I would have lost her beings I don't have that kind of money.. these ladies work EVERYDAY with YOUR & your neighbors fur babies, find some compassion for them, like they have for your babies! Mischief,Spunky,Boots,Tank, Simba, Lurch, Tater Tots, Stimpy, Scrambles & I.. thank you for all that you do.
