Our pup Willow Mae was so very sick and sad after losing her sister to old age that she wasn't moving. Her leg was swollen, no eating and little drinking. We took her to Ark and our experience was past excellent. The love and care they used with our Willow was beyond what we've experienced and we're so grateful. She's better now and recovering nicely. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Kate and Christine Pobol-Illum

Welcome to Ark Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care
Ark Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care, located at 35 Finn Road, Henrietta, NY 14467, USA, stands as a pivotal establishment within the "Pet Hospital" category, providing essential and often life-saving veterinary services to the local community. This facility distinguishes itself by offering not only comprehensive general veterinary care but also crucial urgent care services, making it a critical resource for pet owners facing unexpected health crises with their beloved animals. Their core mission, as evidenced by glowing customer testimonials, revolves around delivering compassionate, dedicated, and highly effective medical treatment, ensuring pets receive the attention they need, especially during vulnerable times.
The environment at Ark Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care is consistently praised for its warm, caring, and welcoming atmosphere, even under the stressful circumstances often associated with urgent care visits. While specific details about the layout or decor are not provided, the overwhelming sentiment from client reviews indicates that the clinic fosters an environment of profound "love and care." This suggests a space designed to minimize stress for both pets and their anxious owners. One can infer the presence of clean, well-organized examination rooms, equipped with modern diagnostic tools to facilitate quick and accurate assessments, which are particularly crucial for an urgent care setting. The staff's demeanor plays a significant role in creating this supportive environment; their kindness and attentiveness help to put both animals and their human companions at ease. The dedication to patient comfort and well-being is paramount, reflecting a holistic approach that extends beyond medical treatment to emotional support for grieving or worried pet parents, as highlighted by the experience of Willow Mae's owners.
The services offered by Ark Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care are extensive, reflecting its dual role as a general "Pet Hospital" and an urgent care facility. As a comprehensive veterinary hospital, they provide a full range of standard services. These would typically include routine wellness examinations, vaccinations, parasite prevention and control, and microchipping for pet identification. Their diagnostic capabilities are robust, essential for both routine and urgent cases, and likely encompass in-house laboratory services (blood work, urinalysis, fecal analysis), digital radiography (X-rays), and potentially ultrasound. Surgical services would also be a key offering, ranging from routine procedures like spaying and neutering to more complex soft tissue surgeries. Given their "Urgent Care" designation, a critical component of their services is the ability to handle immediate, non-life-threatening emergencies and acute illnesses that require prompt attention but are not severe enough for a 24-hour emergency room. This would include addressing symptoms such as vomiting, lethargy, swollen limbs (as with Willow Mae), sudden pain, or minor injuries. They bridge the gap between routine appointments and critical emergency situations. Additionally, they likely offer pain management, nutritional counseling, and possibly behavioral advice as part of their comprehensive approach to pet health. The ability to get a pet in "the next morning after calling" for an urgent issue, as with Simba the cat, underscores their commitment to timely care.
Several key features distinguish Ark Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care and contribute to its excellent reputation. Paramount among these is the exceptional level of compassion and dedication exhibited by the entire staff. Clients consistently laud the team for their "kind, caring, and dedicated" approach, going "beyond what we've experienced" elsewhere. This profound empathy is especially vital when pets are severely ill or suffering. The expertise of their veterinary professionals, exemplified by "Dr. Chris," is another standout feature. Dr. Chris is described as "absolutely amazing," demonstrating not only medical knowledge but also a remarkable level of patient interaction and follow-up. The proactive measure of "emailing to check in after he started to get better," as with Simba, showcases a commitment to post-treatment care and genuine concern for the pet's full recovery, which is a rare and highly appreciated gesture. The efficiency of their service, particularly for urgent care, is also a significant feature, as they were able to accommodate a sick pet "the next morning." This responsiveness is critical for pet owners facing unexpected health issues. Furthermore, the collaborative spirit of the staff, who are "so helpful with watching and caring for our little guy," creates a cohesive and supportive environment for both the animals and their worried owners. Their ability to manage serious conditions, like Willow Mae's profound illness, and facilitate recovery, speaks volumes about their medical capabilities and the quality of care provided.
Promotional information for Ark Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care, while not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews, is effectively generated through their outstanding patient care and client satisfaction. The most potent form of promotion is undoubtedly word-of-mouth referrals, driven by the profoundly positive experiences of clients like Kate and Christine Pobol-Illum, who express gratitude "from the bottom of our hearts," and Simba's owners, who declare, "We owe you all his life." These heartfelt testimonials serve as the most compelling marketing. As an urgent care facility, their availability for prompt appointments for non-emergency issues is a crucial promotional aspect, appealing to pet owners who need timely care but aren't facing a true life-or-death situation. Their contact numbers, (585) 487-8700 and +1 585-487-8700, would be prominently displayed across all their communication channels to ensure easy access for scheduling or inquiries. They likely highlight their compassionate approach, experienced veterinarians (like Dr. Chris), and comprehensive services on their website and social media. Community engagement, such as participation in local pet events or educational initiatives, could also be part of their outreach. Ultimately, the consistent delivery of high-quality, compassionate, and responsive veterinary care, particularly in urgent situations, is the cornerstone of Ark Veterinary Hospital & Urgent Care's reputation and its most effective promotional strategy, solidifying its position as a trusted "Pet Hospital" in Henrietta, NY.

They were very loving and caring towards her and they determined that she has hyperthyroidism. They Gave us a daily regimen and we were able to get her back on track. We can’t thank you enough.
Mar 25, 2025 · Linda SchumacherI was so surprised i got in the next day when I called for car for my 2 yr old beardie. Everyone was wonderful. I felt their love for their job as I walked in. The Dr Relief was terrific with my baby girl. She examined my baby girl on a personable level which made it stress less for my pet. I am relieved that I know where to go if there's another urgency needing attention right away. Thank God for Ark Veterinary, opened on the weekends and for their ❤
May 18, 2025 · Tina UlesARK is the best Veterinary Urgent Care I have ever been to. I called 4 different services pleading for them to see my wounded cat, Rudy. It was a nightmare. So many barriers, no call backs, no walk in service and no available appointments. Finally I called ARK! They were amazing. They were compassionate on the phone, asked me to text them photos to show the vet. Called me back within 5 minutes and told me to bring him right in! When I arrived they gave us a warm greeting and saw Rudy right away. From start to finish they provided the emergency treatment Rudy needed. Thank you to the AMAZING STAFF: You were the best Veterinary Team that I have ever encountered in my 48 yrs of being a pet owner… skilled, professional, compassionate and supportive. Thank you, Dr. Seidel, her Assistant, Andi, and the support staff, Bethany, Jordan and Katie. God bless you all!
