Archdale Animal Hospital

We have been fortunate in having (mostly) decent vets in the past, but Archdale is TRULY exceptional! Our only regret is not switching over to them sooner. The staff is welcoming, kind, and informative. Dr. George in particular has a wonderful calm energy that helps both owners and pets feel at ease. Recently, we discovered one of our dogs was approaching the end of his life, which was devastating news. Dr. George was compassionate while letting us know the realistic timelines. It was great to be equipped with that vital information, so we knew what to expect moving forward and we could ensure that Tuco's remaining time with us was nothing short of amazing. We are forever grateful to Dr. George and the Archdale staff for their guidance, warmth, comfort, and exceptional care during a most difficult time. We will continue to bring our other pets here for all veterinary needs, routine and otherwise. They're the very best!

We feel so lucky to have found Archdale Animal hospital when we did. This family owned and run practice is such a gem in this day and age! We were new to Charlotte at the beginning of the pandemic and finding a vet we could trust for our aging girl was. . . an ordeal. A neighbor recommended the docs at Archdale and we are so grateful! It wasn't a year later that we found a growth that turned out to be cancer. Dr. Barry George did surgery and I believe that got us a whole extra year with her (and most of it out of her cone at that!). Both Dr. Matt and Dr. Barry held our hands every step of the way as we navigated caring for her when things went down hill. There were so many decisions to make and we felt gently guided along the way. It was the hardest year of my life knowing we were going to have to say goodbye soon and never being ready. She was so much more than a pet. She was my everything for a very long time and I felt like they understood that. We were met with kindness, compassion, and patience from the whole staff. Cannot recommend this place enough for everything from routine care to end of life. If (okay, when) we welcome new pets into our home, Archdale will be our go-to!

Awesome place, I've been coming here for ~8 years with four different pets (dogs and cats, old and young) and have found the staff to be empathetic and knowledgeable every time. Very quick, too. Great experience. I just wish that Dr. George also saw humans, would transfer my whole family here if I could :)

Archdale Animal Hospital has the best humans! I have been taking my dog-child to them for 3 years and they give her the best care for all of her allergy and IBS issues. They are compassionate, attentive, and they are reasonable with their prices. They do not run unnecessary test or work to run up the billings. They are honest and their integrity is above reproach.

My cat, Scotty, wasn’t feeling well for days. The Dr Georges were able to squeeze him in, observe and diagnose with a plan. Now he is back to eating, zoomies and mischievous acts with Sabrina. I am so grateful for the Drs care and the helpful front desk. We have never had a bad experience with Archdale Animal, some sad days but never bad.

I was looking for a new vet to give my 17 year old cat the proper care she needed, since my previous vet stopped caring. The doctors here listened and now she’s thriving again. We have added two kittens and again the service here is top notch! I drive 45 min to get care here.
