My daughter took her dog here for surgery and has nothing but good things to say about them. She said that the surgeon was very nice and was great with her dog. They did an excellent job and he is fully healed. Her dog even got doggie cookies from them at his most recent post op visit.

Brand new office and top notch staff. Dr. Atwood is everything you would want your vet to be when you are worried about surgical procedures on your fur babies. He is caring, compassionate, and informative. They have been treating my cat because he ended up needing ongoing care for the procedure he had and they have been amazing. Easy to park and conveniently located near Cool Springs mall. Highly recommend!

Cannot say enough good things about Dr. Atwood and his staff. I’ve talked with other pet orthos in the area, and he was much more thorough in explaining the surgery and making sure I felt comfortable. He never pressured for surgery, and I could tell he wants the best for the pets. The whole staff did a great job of answering all my questions post-op and even keeping me informed with every step on the day of surgery. Very fair pricing and I was able to get in quickly. Dr. Atwood also did a great job of distinguishing treatment and post-op plans specific to my cat, while some orthos treat dogs and cats the same (which shouldn’t be the case). He’s fixed a long term problem on my cat and I could not be more thankful!

The Veterinary Surgeon at Apex, was very professional, kind, patient and so understanding of my dog's hip issues. I have never met such a compassionate and caring vet. Thank you to the office staff as well. The ladies at Apex were just so helpful and so patient with my scheduling needs.

Dr. Atwood is really knowledgeable, very professional, and empathetic vet surgeon. I took my rescue dog to see him for a consultation on his hip surgery and Dr. Atwood spent time with us and went through all details about treatment options. The surgery cost here is also reasonable. I highly recommend Apex Veterinary Surgery.
