We love our pets like family*. So why not treat them to the best veterinarian? Dr. Carey and team are incredibly caring and efficient. As a patient for over six years, our pup Sophie has been seen by Dr. Carey. The entire process is efficient and frictionless to have your pet seen on a routine visit or for a sick visit. Since our dog is aging, we get to see Dr. Carey more often. One of the exceptional benefits of seeing Dr. Carey is receiving her call to check on your pet. Dr. Carey‘s experience, knowledge, communication skills, compassion towards our pup is second to none. Dr. Carey’s clear explanation of treatment options put you at ease. Her clinic is well organized, clean and staffed with a caring team. You are not alone in loving your pet as much as your family, a recent Pew Research Center study found that 51% of pet owners say their pets are “as much a part of their family as a human member“ If you love your pet that much, make sure your precious pet is under the care of Apex Animal Hospital. Highly recommended.

Dec 14, 2024 · Scott AndrewsI cannot say enough good things about the entire team at Apex! I have two cats and had a sweet dog who passed away last fall. Dr. Cary and her staff has been the kindest, most trustworthy veterinary practice I have ever encountered. They love my pets like I do and go above and beyond in their service. They call and check in on my pets after vet visits, remember my pets and their needs during appointments, and greet you with kindness and love at the door. The amount of comfort and love that the entire team gave me when my pup passed away is beyond words. You and your pets deserve the type of care Apex provides!
Feb 28, 2025 · KristiDr. Cary and the entire team have been caring for my two dogs for the past 3–4 years, and I couldn’t be more grateful for their compassion and expertise. Every visit, they go above and beyond to make sure my dogs feel comfortable and cared for, and they’re always so patient and kind with both me and my pets. I’ve traveled abroad with one of my dogs a couple of times, and Dr. Cary has been incredibly helpful in guiding me through the paperwork process, making everything smooth and stress-free. She has also performed surgery twice on my senior dog to remove some lumps. I truly appreciate their dedication and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate veterinarian!
Feb 27, 2025 · Mónica M. RamosUpdate 1/17/23: I see the clinic has left a misleading comment suggesting I might have reviewed the wrong vet. Let me be very clear: this review is about this specific facility in Smyrna, GA, and our awful experiences with the treatment of our dog, and our cat—not any other location. My spouse took our dog here where he tragically passed, and we later brought our cat here with similarly poor results. We've spoken with this clinic on multiple occasions and waited to leave this review only after obtaining and reviewing all relevant documents with another vet. Their dismissive response reflects a troubling pattern of deflection and blame-shifting that many other reviewers have also noted. --- I’ve had two deeply disappointing experiences at this veterinary clinic, and I cannot recommend their services based on these encounters. The first instance was with my dog, who suffered a massive stroke. The staff took him back but, instead of prioritizing his care, they first focused on ensuring we were "comfortable with the cost" before providing life-saving care, like oxygen for example - especially when money was not the issue. This approach felt cold and unempathetic during an already traumatic moment. Sadly, my dog passed away, and to make matters worse, we were separated from him in his final moments. That lack of compassion still hurts me. More recently, I brought my cat to this clinic when he was very ill. I described symptoms like lethargy, lack of appetite, not using the litterbox, and not drinking water. After examining him, they returned him to us, saying the results were "inconclusive." The following day, his condition worsened, so we rushed him to another emergency vet hospital. After requesting his records from this clinic, the new vet discovered they hadn’t even taken his temperature. It turned out he had a dangerously high fever, severe dehydration, and was suffering from pneumonia—conditions that should have been identified during the initial visit. Two bad experiences involving inadequate care and a lack of urgency or empathy are more than a coincidence, in my opinion. For the sake of your pets, I strongly suggest seeking care elsewhere.
Jan 17, 2025 · Bradley BingThis team is amazing to out little fur babies. With three of them we are in there quite a bit. They are always accommodating of our busy schedules and make our pups feel at ease anytime we need to come in.
