This place is wonderful! I have been to several emergency vets with my cat Lucci for various issues over the years (he's going to put me in an early grave I swear). Going to these vets is always so stressful, and you always expect to wait many hours and spend several hundred (or more) dollars. Neither of these things were the case here! They had us in and out in an hour, and their prices are super reasonable for an emergency vet. My cat had an abscess and they were able to examine him, drain it, clean it, and give him antibiotics. They were very helpful at the office and on the phone, and have a very kind, calming and professional way of talking (I wish I could remember the young lady's name who checked him in). And the tech that brought my cat back out spoke so kindly of him, and said that he was so docile with them and he was extremely well behaved, so that was really nice to hear as well . Overall, this is a great place to take your pet after hours, and they make the whole process pleasant, and not nearly as stressful. Thank you so much for taking care of my boy!

Welcome to Animal Urgent Care

Introducing Animal Urgent Care, a vital pet hospital located at 2816 Monroe Ave #100, Rochester, NY 14618, USA. You can contact them at (585) 442-6915 or their mobile number +1 585-442-6915. As a specialized pet hospital operating under the platform category of Pet Hospitals, Animal Urgent Care focuses on providing immediate and critical veterinary services for pets in urgent need of medical attention. This distinguishes them from general veterinary practices that typically handle routine check-ups and scheduled appointments.

The environment of an urgent care pet hospital is designed to facilitate prompt and efficient treatment. While specific details about the clinic's layout and interior are not provided online, it's reasonable to expect a setup that includes a triage area for immediate assessment of incoming cases, examination rooms equipped for urgent medical needs, and potentially a surgical suite for emergency procedures. The atmosphere is likely geared towards calm efficiency, aiming to minimize stress for both pets and their owners during what can be anxious times. Cleanliness and organization are paramount in such a setting to ensure effective and safe delivery of care.

As an urgent care facility, the primary service of Animal Urgent Care is to address immediate and unexpected health issues in pets that require prompt veterinary intervention. This encompasses a wide range of conditions, including sudden illnesses, injuries, accidents, and acute flare-ups of chronic conditions. Their services likely include immediate medical assessments, diagnostic procedures such as on-site laboratory tests and imaging (like X-rays), pain management, wound care, and emergency surgeries. They are equipped to handle situations that cannot wait for a regular veterinary appointment.

Based on the positive customer reviews, a significant feature of Animal Urgent Care appears to be their efficiency in providing timely care. One reviewer mentioned being "in and out in an hour" for their cat's abscess, which is notable for an emergency vet visit where longer wait times are often expected. This suggests a streamlined process for assessment and treatment. Another highlighted feature is the reasonable pricing, especially when compared to other emergency veterinary facilities. This can be a significant factor for pet owners facing unexpected veterinary expenses.

The reviews also consistently praise the staff's demeanor and professionalism. One customer described the staff as "very helpful," "kind," "calming," and "professional," emphasizing their positive communication skills both at the office and on the phone. The gentle and loving care provided to the animals is also highlighted, with a technician specifically mentioned for speaking kindly about the pet. This focus on compassionate care can significantly ease the stress associated with emergency vet visits for both pets and their owners.

Another key feature appears to be the promptness of care, as indicated by a pet being admitted "right away." This immediate attention is crucial in urgent situations where time can be a critical factor in the pet's recovery. The thorough explanations provided by the veterinarians, such as Dr. DiCarlo explaining the exam, diagnosis, and treatment options, are also a valuable feature. Clear communication helps pet owners understand their pet's condition and the recommended course of action, fostering trust and reducing anxiety.

Promotional information for Animal Urgent Care is not explicitly provided in the given text. Urgent care facilities typically focus on providing immediate services rather than offering routine promotions. However, they may provide information about their services, hours of operation, and payment options to potential clients. For any specific promotional offers or details about their services, it is advisable to contact Animal Urgent Care directly.

In conclusion, Animal Urgent Care in Rochester, NY, stands out as a pet hospital specializing in immediate veterinary care. Key features highlighted by customer reviews include their efficiency in providing timely treatment, reasonable pricing for emergency services, and a compassionate and professional staff who communicate effectively with pet owners. The ability to admit patients quickly and provide thorough explanations of diagnoses and treatment plans are also notable aspects of their service. For local users in need of urgent veterinary attention for their pets, Animal Urgent Care appears to be a highly recommended option based on the available feedback.

They were able to admit Leo right away! The staff was gentle and loving, and Dr. DiCarlo thoroughly explained her exam, diagnosis, and treatment options. He’s already on the mend and I’m so thankful they were available to see him.

My Chihuahua's kidneys failed and they took her in right away. Bruiser was my life for almost 17 years, and the Doctor and staff were so nice and empathetic when she had to be put down. She came back in a very nice box. The Dr and staff sent me her paw prints and a little bag of her fur. I was so touched when this came in the mail. Thank you guys so much
