Dr. Farrell and his team are amazing. As an owner of a dog that has now had 2 TPLOs (both legs both with Dr. Farrell) and 1 lateral suture in the span of 2 years, I would be lost without them. They are direct, responsive, honest, great communicators who truly are experts in the field. I am so glad I was referred to them and so happy that our 9 year old Australian Shepherd is on the road to recovery. Additionally, I found their pricing to be very reasonable and their ability to make time so that my dog was not waiting to long for surgery was priceless. Thank you!

Regarding our experience with a knee joint ligament (TPLO) surgery. AOSSD is “Small but mighty”in staff size and building space! They’ve got this process down! Perhaps why the surgery was so competitive in price.We were worried that our dog Buddy was too old to handle the procedure…a12 yr old part lab, but for a quality of life we knew we had to try it! After 80 days of caution, Today we got thumbs up to return normal with play and exercise! Thanks Dr. Farrell and your team.

The staff and veterinarians at Animal Outpatient Surgery of San Diego are very kind and caring. The consult appointment was relaxed, all questions answered and they offered bloodwork. On the day of surgery the drop off and pick up were easy and they communicated at each step. I had some questions when home and Tina answered my questions promptly. Dr Farrel did a great job with Piper’s salivary mucocele surgery and there were no complications. Healing was very smooth. Did I mention the cost was less than other quotes and made it possible and affordable. They are super stars 🌟 You will love the care provided here.

Dr Farrell and his team are fantastic. They were very prompt in replying to my inquiry, scheduling a consult and ultimately scheduling our dogs surgery. We had been told by 3 other places they would not perform the surgery on our dogs anal tumors due to the risks. Dr Farrell was very clear on the possible complications but confident he would be able to successfully perform the surgery. He did an awesome job!!! There have been no complications and the communication has been outstanding!! I would highly recommend this team for all your pups surgical needs!

This review is long overdue. Our Pomeranian, Tiki, suffered from bilateral patellar luxation very early in his life. My wife and I went to several veterinarians and had consultations with a few veterinary surgeons before choosing Dr. Farrell and his team back in May of 2023. I can’t speak highly enough of how wonderful Dr. Farrell was during the process, as well as how communicative the team at AOS was during post-op care. Whether we were texting about a small concern or asking questions about best ways to move forward, they were there for us and, most importantly, Tiki. Tiki is 2 years old now and runs, jumps, and plays like nobodies business! He has had absolutely no problems since he recovered, and he can hold his own when he decides to rough house with our other dog who is twice his size and weight (we still keep a careful eye on them of course). If my family’s experience is of any value to you in making a decision for your pet’s health, I can say with no hesitation that you will be in great hands at Dr. Ferrell’s clinic. The cost of surgery was less than what other places quoted, I was texted immediately when Tiki got out of surgery, and we were thoughtfully educated on how to help him recover. You will not regret going with Dr. Farrell!
