I’ve never had a dog that loves going to the vet or getting groomed until we started going to Dr. Shriver. He and his staff are incredible and I know my dog is well taken care of when they see her in the parking lot and call her out by name. We had a few unplanned visits her first year and they alwasy treated her as if she was their own dog.

I moved in the area Feb 2021 and took my baby to two vets...fast forward...this is the third and I'm NEVER leaving. Don't go anywhere else, I'm so serious. I've been bringing my Son's little munchkin here since we got him at 8 weeks in March. They are so kind and so sweet. Dr. Shapiro is so humble and loves the animals as well his interaction with the owners. They are genuine.

Dr. Shriver and Renee are always kind and patient with my babies. Dr. Shriver takes the time to offer personalized explanations and explore budget-friendly options. I am so happy with the decision to switch from our previous vet to this office.

My reason for four stars is only needed due to my personal feeling that some things for my cat Kevin were missed. Kevin had to be put to sleep on Sun Jan 12, 2025. He had serious issues with urinary, bladder, bowel back-up. Kevin originally came from a hoarding situation and had been rescued in 2019. I chose to take Kevin to Animal Medical because my cat Delilah saw Dr. Shriver for surgery and that went successfully and Delilah is doing great! I started taking Kevin here in Oct 2023. I brought him in due to him crying when trying to poo. AM took ex-rays and after the fact I reviewed those and then asked Dr. Shriver if he saw the same thing I did which was what looked like severely back-up bowls. He responded no he did not see that. Kevin continued to have health issues. I changed his food and gave him meds Dr. Shriver prescribed. Overall for the next 6 months Kevin still had issues and in the spring of 24, I called again & asked the doctor about the ex-rays if he could view them again as I do see backed up bowels. He again said he did not see this. In Nov 24 Kevin started to get worse so dropped him overnight to get checked. Again the doctor prescribed meds and didn't seem to think there was any issues. In Dec 24 Kevin was passing blood in his urine. Rushed him in and AM kept him five days, did test , IV, and a catheter. The doctor advise he did the best he could and could do nothing further and sent him home. Advised if Kevin starts bleeding again rush him to East Metro animal hospital. In Jan 25, took Kevin urgently to EM and they checked him and said they did not see any blood, did test. Said to bring him back if problem continued. By this time I am shocked that vets continue to say they could not see the issue. I went home, continued to feed him the urinary food, started him on L-thimeane, calming tabs, a new litter box. For eight days Kevin went down hill....Started pooing and peeing outside the litter box and all over my house. He was screaming in pain....so I rushed him on Sun Jan 12 to East Metro and met with Cody and the doctor. She went over issues and was about to say she did not feel anything and I became upset saying.....why do vets say nothings wrong when clearly he's in pain. I showed them pics of blood on his blanket and quite a lot in his litter box. I had put him in the bathroom Sat night and kept him there because I wanted to see if he would use the litter box. He did and this is how I was able to gather pictures to confirm he was bleeding. I then showed the doctor & Cody the ex-rays from Animal Medical and asked them if they saw backed-up bowls and they said yes!!! Why didn't Dr. Shriver see this? Maybe we could have done surgery to clear his bowels which would have cleared his bladder blockage. Kevin's issues came from him being raised in the hoarding house but IF VETS paid closer attention this could have been solved so much earlier and maybe Kevin would still be alive :( In total I have spent 2,255.00 and the loss of my cat.
