Welcome to Animal Medical Hospital
Welcome to the local introduction of Animal Medical Hospital, located at 1914 E Sahara Ave in Las Vegas, NV 89104, USA. Operating within the Pet Hospital category, Animal Medical Hospital distinguishes itself by primarily focusing on a specific area of veterinary medicine: ophthalmology. You can contact them at (702) 457-6523 or their mobile number, +1 702-457-6523.
Information regarding the general environment of Animal Medical Hospital is limited. However, based on the available reviews, it appears to be a facility equipped to handle specialized ophthalmological procedures for animals. One customer who traveled from out of state for OFA eye testing for their Corgis described the staff, particularly Dr. Brinkmann, as "great and accommodating." This suggests a professional and efficient environment, especially for their area of specialization. The reviewer also noted the efficiency of their visit, completing the testing within an hour, indicating a streamlined process for specific services.
The primary service offered by Animal Medical Hospital, as indicated by a customer interaction, is veterinary ophthalmology. This encompasses the diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions in animals. The mention of being an "ophthalmology center for animals for over 26 years" strongly suggests that their expertise lies in this specific field. One of the services explicitly mentioned in the reviews is OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) eye testing, a specific type of examination often required for breeding dogs to screen for hereditary eye diseases. This highlights their capability in conducting specialized diagnostic procedures related to animal vision.
Given the limited information available online, specific features beyond their specialization in ophthalmology are not readily apparent. However, the positive experience of the customer who received OFA eye testing points to a level of expertise and efficiency in handling such procedures. The longevity of the practice, being an ophthalmology center for over two decades, suggests a long-standing presence and likely a wealth of experience in this niche area of veterinary medicine.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for Animal Medical Hospital online. Their focus appears to be on providing specialized ophthalmological services rather than general veterinary care. Therefore, it is advisable to contact them directly at the provided phone numbers for any specific inquiries regarding services, pricing, or appointment scheduling related to animal eye care.
It is important to note a contrasting customer experience detailed in one of the reviews. This individual called to inquire about pricing for a general exam and shots for a Shih Tzu. The interaction with a staff member named Karen was described as initially customer service-oriented but turned negative when the caller requested specific information. The staff member reportedly became abrasive, abruptly stating that the caller needed to call other animal hospitals for general care and explicitly mentioned that Animal Medical Hospital is primarily an ophthalmology center. While this interaction highlights the specialized nature of the practice, the manner in which the information was conveyed was perceived as disrespectful by the potential customer. This review serves as a reminder for pet owners to clearly articulate their needs when contacting veterinary clinics to ensure they are reaching the appropriate facility for the required services.
In conclusion, Animal Medical Hospital in Las Vegas is presented as a specialized pet hospital primarily focused on veterinary ophthalmology services. With over 26 years of experience in this field, they offer specific services such as OFA eye testing, as positively reviewed by one customer. However, it is crucial for pet owners seeking general veterinary care, such as routine exams and vaccinations, to be aware of their specialization and potentially seek services from other general practice veterinary clinics in the area, as indicated by one negative customer service experience regarding inquiries for non-ophthalmological services. For pet owners whose animals require ophthalmological expertise or specific eye-related diagnostic procedures like OFA testing, Animal Medical Hospital appears to be a capable and experienced facility.

Feb 02, 2024 · Jeff BaileyI called to get pricing for exam and shots for a Shih Tzu... Spoke to Karen who sounded customer service oriented until I asked for the information I needed. She immediately dropped the customer service voice and before even explaining why, abrasively stated "You need to call..." Then went on to rudely advise that I was the fourth caller today asking for the same information today and that the business was actually an ophthalmology center for animals for over 26 years. She also advised "There are ALL sorts of animal hospitals. Desert Inn, Craig Rd. Why don't you call one of them?" Needless to say, since this was so disrespectfully brought to my attention, even IF my Fur Baby ever requires an ophthalmologist's services, he will NOT be placed in the care of this facility.
