This is my dogs reg vet. We just moved here. My dog fell in the pool this morning and drowned! I resuscitated him and needed to get him in asap. I got there and they turned him away!!! He was dying in the car! In a panic I called another vet who said get him here now! By the time I got there they had to resuscitate him again! Unfortunately, the little guy couldn’t get stable and was going to suffer.. They had to put him down. This vet should be closed down! Turning away a dying dog that’s your patient!!! We are beyond devastated. I’m disgusted that he is practicing! But I needed to share this! Go to Brightcross. They took him and rushed him back immediately. Stopped all other appts to try to stabilize him.

Welcome to Animal Medical Clinic of North Port

Animal Medical Clinic of North Port, located at 13608 Tamiami Trl in North Port, Florida, serves the local community as a Pet Hospital offering veterinary care services. While specific details about the clinic's environment and facilities are not extensively described in the provided information, we can gather insights from the experiences shared by pet owners who have interacted with the clinic. As a Pet Hospital, Animal Medical Clinic of North Port is expected to provide a range of services and potentially offer pet-related goods, including dispensing medications as needed for the treatment of animal health conditions.

One of the significant pieces of feedback comes from a pet owner who had a dire emergency involving their dog. According to this account, their recently moved dog fell into a pool and drowned but was resuscitated at home. Upon arriving at Animal Medical Clinic of North Port seeking urgent care, the owner reports that their pet was turned away despite being in critical condition and "dying in the car." This deeply distressing experience led the owner to another veterinary clinic, Brightcross, where the dog was immediately attended to and resuscitated again. Tragically, the dog could not be stabilized and ultimately had to be euthanized. The reviewer expressed profound devastation and strongly recommended against using Animal Medical Clinic of North Port, suggesting they should be closed down for allegedly turning away a dying patient. This review raises serious concerns about the clinic's emergency protocols and their willingness to accept and treat critical cases, even for a pet described as their "reg vet."

In stark contrast to the emergency experience, another pet owner shared a positive aspect of Animal Medical Clinic of North Port, specifically regarding their pricing for routine services. This reviewer stated they were previously using another veterinarian in North Port whose prices were steadily increasing. They highlighted a significant cost difference, noting that their dog's last yearly check-up at the previous vet cost almost $400, while Animal Medical Clinic of North Port charged $173 for a similar service. This feedback suggests that Animal Medical Clinic of North Port may offer more affordable pricing for routine check-ups and preventative care compared to some other local veterinary practices. This could be a significant factor for pet owners seeking cost-effective routine veterinary services.

Based on the limited information available, it appears that Animal Medical Clinic of North Port offers routine veterinary services, including yearly check-ups, and may be more competitively priced in this area compared to some other clinics. However, the severely negative experience shared regarding the handling of a life-threatening emergency raises significant concerns about their capacity or willingness to provide immediate critical care, even to established patients. The discrepancy between the positive feedback on pricing for routine care and the catastrophic account of being turned away during an emergency presents a complex and conflicting picture of the clinic.

A potential feature of Animal Medical Clinic of North Port, as suggested by one review, is their affordability for routine veterinary services. This could be an attractive factor for pet owners in the North Port area who are budget-conscious and primarily seeking regular check-ups and preventative care for their animals. However, it is crucial to balance this potential benefit with the serious concerns raised in the other review regarding emergency situations.

Currently, there is no information provided regarding the environment of the clinic beyond its location. Similarly, there are no details about other specific services offered beyond routine check-ups, nor is there any promotional information available. Therefore, we cannot provide a comprehensive overview of the clinic's facilities, the full scope of their services, or any special offers they might have.

In conclusion, Animal Medical Clinic of North Port in North Port, Florida, appears to offer routine veterinary services, including check-ups, at potentially more affordable prices than some other local options. However, a critical review details a deeply concerning experience of a pet owner being allegedly turned away with a dying pet who was a regular patient. This account raises serious questions about the clinic's emergency protocols and their approach to critical care situations. Local users considering Animal Medical Clinic of North Port should carefully weigh the potential cost savings for routine care against the significant concerns raised about emergency response. It may be prudent to seek further information about their emergency protocols and perhaps consider these factors when making decisions about their pet's veterinary care, especially if their pet has pre-existing conditions or if they prioritize emergency preparedness from their veterinary provider.

I was going to another vet in north port whose prices kept going up and up and up. My dogs last yearly check up at other vet was almost $400. This place charges $173. BIG difference

We have been to this vet clinic since 2022. I was not very impressed from day 1. They are very out dated from the office to even just hand written charts. They don't email or even have fax . But I wanted to try and support a family owned local place. The vet himself is ok, just not very personable, and just seems to want to just get you in and out. And they seem to lack on the equipment to stay up date on doing tests for animals and the knowledge. But the reason I chose to take my dogs to another vet is because of the upfront mother and daughter. Vicki is not a very pleasant person. To work with animals, I feel you need to have compassion and empathy and that is something they do not have here. They have been rude to me a few times and I finally drew the line over a phone call. My dog is in end stage heart failure and had an episode of respiratory failure and I end up having to take her to an animal hospital. I called the office and the daughter answered the phone and after I explained what happened and wanted a follow up as that I had questions on what is next with my baby and what to do. She said she didn't know what i wanted her to do and that there was no open appointments. I said well if you get a cancelation, can you guys call me that my dog really needs to be seen and that I had been told she may not make it through the weekend. She said normally they don't have people to call to cancel and pretty much treated me like she did not care and that this was not important and was blowing me off. So instead of going off on on her for being such a uncaring rude person I just said forget it and hung up on her. Then to even get records you have to go get a photo copy from them because they are from the Flintstone ages and can't fax or email stuff. And don't dare ask them for a prescription for chewy so you can get meds or you will get a rude response from Vicki and they won't send it to them. I just would not recommend this office at all to anyone that really want the care that is needed for your loved pets. I feel the vet down played the seriousness of my dogs heart and how bad it really was and now I'm having to put my dog down. I'm not saying that's his fault. I just feel if he would have started her on meds sooner and explained her heart murmur how bad it really was, and her enlarged heart how it was putting strain on her other organs, and how bad her heart failure was that I would not be here in shock on what just happened to my baby. I went to another vet and they took us in, actually worked us in, and took the time and explained everything to us and have helped me more than ever. So just be aware and know you get what you pay for.

My "fur babies" pups all love Dr Stanish! (Spelling may be wrong) He's always greeted with kisses from my dogs and after a nice visit they get their treat. He's so good with them, even tho they are huge monsters lol. From shots to treatments they do it all with great pride and love.
