We needed a vet in a hurry due to a recent adoption having a surprise pregnancy. We had never been to Animal Medical Center, they didn’t make us go through outrageous steps to get care. They got me in within an hour of calling when I researched that most corgis need help delivering, hospitalized my pup at my request, and did a C-section the next morning when she went into labor. All steps were verified that I wanted to proceed, all costs were laid out ahead of time. Price points were more than fair. After surgery they updated me, and then let me know when I could get her and the pups. The day after they called to check how everything was going and made an additional prescription over the phone as well to help her with her motherly duties. We were using SAHO in Owasso, but this will be our new vet for every future need!

While specific details about the physical environment of Animal Medical Center are not extensively described in the provided reviews, we can infer that it offers a well-equipped and functional setting essential for a comprehensive pet hospital. This would typically include a welcoming reception area, multiple examination rooms for consultations and assessments, surgical suites for various procedures, diagnostic imaging capabilities (such as X-rays), laboratory services for quick analysis, and potentially hospitalization wards for animals requiring overnight or extended care. The clinic's ability to handle an emergency C-section and hospitalize a pet suggests that they have the necessary facilities and equipment for both routine and more critical veterinary needs.
The reviews provide compelling insights into the services and features that distinguish Animal Medical Center. One particularly impactful testimonial describes a situation where a recently adopted pregnant dog required urgent veterinary attention due to the high likelihood of needing assistance with delivery, a common issue in Corgis. Despite being new to the clinic, the owner was impressed by the rapid response, securing an appointment within an hour of calling. The clinic's willingness to hospitalize the dog at the owner's request and perform a C-section the following morning when labor began highlights their efficiency and readiness to handle emergency situations. A crucial feature emphasized in this review is the transparent communication: all steps were verified with the owner before proceeding, and all costs were clearly laid out in advance, fostering trust and eliminating financial surprises. The reviewer also noted that the price points were "more than fair," suggesting a commitment to affordable care. Post-surgery, the clinic provided regular updates and facilitated the discharge of the mother and pups. Their follow-up call the next day and the provision of an additional prescription over the phone demonstrate a continued commitment to patient well-being and owner support. This exceptional experience led the reviewer to switch their primary veterinary care to Animal Medical Center.
Another enthusiastic review hails Animal Medical Center as the "Best Veterinarian Clinic I've ever been to!" This broad praise underscores the overall positive experience of at least one client. The reviewer, who had been dealing with health issues in their livestock for two weeks prior, specifically commends the team at AMC for their "amazing" care and treatment, not only for the animals but also for the owner's emotional well-being during a stressful period. This highlights a significant feature of the clinic: the provision of emotional support to pet and livestock owners, recognizing the strong bonds people have with their animals and the stress associated with their illness. The reviewer strongly recommends Animal Medical Center to those seeking a clinic close to home, emphasizing the quality of care for beloved pets.
While specific veterinarians are not named in the reviews, the consistent praise for the "team at AMC" suggests a collaborative and dedicated group of professionals who prioritize patient care and client satisfaction. The clinic's ability to handle both companion animals (dogs) and livestock indicates a broad range of expertise and services, catering to a diverse animal population in the Claremore area.
A significant feature of Animal Medical Center is their responsiveness in emergency situations, as demonstrated by the rapid scheduling and handling of the C-section case. Their commitment to transparent communication regarding procedures and costs is another key aspect that builds trust with clients. The fair pricing mentioned in one review suggests that they strive to provide quality care at reasonable rates, making veterinary services more accessible to the community.
The emotional support provided to owners during stressful times is a notable feature that goes beyond standard medical care. Recognizing the emotional toll of having a sick animal and offering reassurance and understanding can significantly enhance the client experience and foster a strong relationship between the clinic and the pet owners.
In conclusion, Animal Medical Center in Claremore, OK, stands out as a responsive and caring Pet Hospital that provides a wide range of veterinary services for both companion animals and livestock. The clinic is highly praised for its rapid response in emergencies, transparent communication about procedures and costs, fair pricing, and the compassionate support offered to pet owners. Jan 23, 2025 · Nick MooreBest Veterinarian Clinic I've ever been to! If i could give more stars I would, I've had a rough two weeks with some of my livestock and the team at AMC has been amazing as far as the care and treatment for both my animals and myself (emotionally) - If your looking for a clinic close to Home, this is thr place for you and the pets you love ❤️
Apr 24, 2025 · Tyner_AI brought my dog here for a basic anal gland expression and nail trim, which is something I’ve had done at other places before (I’ve since moved, so I had to find a new vet), usually costing between $35–$50 max. I was honestly shocked when I was charged $91 for this visit. The whole thing took about 15 minutes from the second I walked in the door to the second I left, and my dog is only 25 lbs - the cost does not fit the service, whatsoever. What really bothers me is that I wasn’t told the cost beforehand. I understand prices might be listed somewhere, but as a client, I think it’s reasonable to expect some communication about what I’m agreeing to pay, especially when it’s almost double what I’ve paid elsewhere for the exact same service. And honestly, NINETY ONE DOLLARS for a nail trim & an anal gland expression is CRAZY. To add to that, while the administrative assistant and vet tech were both friendly and welcoming, another woman (not sure if she was a vet or part of the grooming services) was impolite and short with me from the moment I walked in. It just didn’t feel like it was a very warm or respectful experience overall. This was only my second time at this vet, and while I didn’t have an issue with the actual care my dog received, the lack of transparency around pricing and the rude interaction left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. Just something to be aware of if you’re considering this place.
Apr 15, 2025 · KatThis place was overall amazing, from the front staff to the back. We had to make a quick decision to put our pup down and the things they did after was nice and sent us a few extra things that were done. Not expected but felt great to get. The only bad thing was since no vet was there on a Saturday we had to have one called in, that’s fine I’ll pay anything but it was the Owner Dr. Ed Gilsleider and he got upset I asked for my daughter to be there to say bye which would be 5 minutes and he was mad he had to come in on his day off and got upset. Sorry maybe don’t offer that service or you don’t come in and have a different vet help out. And I get they closed but we were even rushed out, like couldn’t even take more then 10 minutes to process putting our dog down before we had to just leave. Due to the treatment from him we will for sure have to go else where to help the rest of our pets he single handled made our difficult time even worse, I hope no one else gets treated the way we were from him!!
