My dog is sooooo happy to come to AMC Watkins Park. He barks when we turn into the parking lot ready to get out of the car. The staff and doctors are very friendly and professional. Dr Vaughn and Salmond are the best. They take excellent care of my fur baby. Glad they are there to help us take the best care possible of our furry family members.

I rarely write reviews. I absolutely love AMC, and I definitely appreciate the staff there! Everyone is super nice and easygoing. I also really like my vet Dr. Salmond, I like that she takes the time to listen to your concerns. I think her chair side manner is AWESOME. She thoroughly explains her medical recommendations and reasoning for treatment, which I appreciate. She lays out all options on the table. Recently, I had an emergency with my dog—AMC was able to fit me in as an emergency same day. My dog got pretty sick after ingesting parts of his toy. They took did an evaluation and an ultrasound(An expensive one 😫) but all to make sure he was okay. After his treatment, I did worry over the weekend that he wasnt improving the way I thought he should. I sent an email and the following day received a call from Dr. Salmond. We discussed my concerns and she reassured me that my pup sounds like he’s moving in the right direction, to which he was! I received a few check up calls from them for my dog and truly am grateful for it. I do feel like they care about your pet while making you feel a part of the family too! It’s rare to find this, I will definitely keep coming here, and always look forward to annual exams! Animal Medical is a great choice for you and your pet!!

Update: I want to thank the staff at Watkins, particularly Dr. Salmond. On Nov. 10th my retired K9 partner suffered a life ending medical emergency. The staff here were nothing but kind from the moment I called where they immediately made space for us in their very jammed packed day, to helping me make funeral arrangements, once the decision was made to end Kellen’s suffering. Their hands, filled with love, compassion, and kindness joined ours stroking Kellen as she took her last breath. Dr. Salmond stayed with me for quite awhile after, as I held and stroked my partner for the last time sharing stories and laughter about her antics. I KNOW, this was as hard for them as it was for my family yet, they did it with unparalleled grace, compassion and kindness. I can never Thank them enough for everything this practice has done for me and my SAR dogs over the years. Particularly Kellen as her love and enthusiasm for her work sometimes resulted in a vet visit. I will continue to bring my K9 partners to this practice. There is no better place. During this time of COVID life is very trying and difficult. Your staff is always professional, generous and kind. There are very few people in this world that I would trustingly leave my K9 partner with, you are one of them. Thank you for your excellent care of Kellen.

Animal Medical Center...from the fabulous doctors(Dr. Maturo and Dr. Chapman) to all the gracious and loving staff(Caprice, Dee, and Cindy) and most importantly to the craft of loving animals and just doing what is right, they hold my utmost respect! My Max is still here, thriving and making our family complete. It was quite an ordeal but after many tests(available right at their clinic/no need to go elsewhere), and staying the course the dedication and support from AMC paid off!!! The after photos are the best, he is turning 13 in a few days, and we will celebrate......

Dr. Chapman and team really care about the well being of your pets. Our dog from day 1 had received the best care even on short notice. The attention to detail and their communication are top notch and we love their passion for our dog. Thank you for all the hard work the doctor and the team does!
