Animal Medical Center of Plainfield

We came in with our pup with excruciating back pain and we were taken in immediately. The staff was extremely kind. Dr. Triani evaluated the situation and immediately was able to relieve the pain for him. Over the course of a few more phone calls back and forth fielding our very concerned questions, we have our doggy back in good spirits and acting basically normal within 24hours. The level of knowledge by the staff and sense of urgency speaks volumes of his recovery so quickly. 10 stars out of 5 if I could! He actually ate today for the first time in a day. Thank god for this place!

They stand out from all the rest in terms of obvious empathy, understanding, and ability to meet the animal’s parent at the level of their understanding in able to properly go over the issue at hand and why / what their recommendations are to address and correct the issue, as well as future issues of a similar or related nature. They are extremely knowledgeable in their understanding, not only regarding general foundational knowledge necessary for a successful and fulfilling vet, but also in the smaller details that tend to matter most. The one and only detail that I can think of room for some improvement is in the pricing of their services. When comparing their pricing to other similar animal medical centers in the surrounding areas, their prices tend to be a bit much higher than most. However, I would still always prefer to go back to them, when considering their level of care and detail. Our puppy had a swollen snout (in the evening) so we took her here. This is a new facility so it’s very clean and professional. From the time we walked in, everyone was so compassionate. They quickly took her back while we checked in and we waited in the seating area. Eventually they took us to a room where the vet explained the treatment they gave her and assured us he checked on her several times and she was doing well. We’d assumed she got bitten on her snout and was having an allergic reaction, and that’s what was diagnosed and treated. It was comforting to this mama that they treated her so quickly.

3/4/25 This is an update to the review below: Got our partly feral cat back home to the garage and he just went frantic with the cone on. Ran around and got caught on everything and finally hid where we couldn’t find him. He would not eat, drink or use the litter boxes and that went on for 24 hours. After several tries at finding him we were able to spot him crouched down in a box but would not let us come near. Called Dr Natalie and she made suggestions on how to take the collar off since it was critical that he got his meds and empty his bladder. Since they are over an hour away we gave it a try. Got the collar off after we put a lid on the box and carefully reached in to grab the collar with cat nails flying everywhere. After calming down and grooming himself he came out after a few hours and ate and used the box. This morning he was back to his normal self. Part friendly, part feral still but happy. We are so grateful that Dr Natalie knew just what to do that we could handle and would save the cat from dehydration. Highly recommend this business. Called and no one had space to take us as an emergency or much of any suggestions on what to do for our stray cat with urinary problems so found this business in Plainfield and talked to Priscilla who didn’t hesitate a bit. Told us to bring him right in, no appointment time needed. She was so helpful. A beautiful facility and many people there to help 24 hours a day. They checked us right in and as there were many people there with their pets we had to wait a bit but they took the cat right back to start the checkup. When they called us back to a room, Maddie came in to see what we wanted done and gave us an estimate for each thing. She’s was very helpful with us sorting through what we needed. A bit later Dr. Natalie came in to discuss any other procedures we wanted and gave us a cost estimate for each thing. Very nice because everything you have done adds to the bill. In the end we had the cat checked out, tests run with results in no time, got an antibiotic shot for his condition, a neutered procedure and pain medicine. It was so great because this was a stray that is partly feral and they handled him wonderfully. They were able to do the neuter immediately so we didn’t have to try to recapture him in the carrier again so soon. He was not a happy cat at the time. I would highly recommend this emergency vet care business and was so glad we found them. Didn’t have to wait till office hours on Monday. Don’t know as the cat could have held out that long.

The staff at this hospital is awesome. Normally my dog gets very nervous going to an animal hospital, however the staff here made my dog feel very comfortable and at ease. The 1st nurse got on the floor with my dog and made him feel like he was at home. The doctor was awesome as well. He gave me peace of mind, where the other 2 places I had gone to left me in limbo. You are doing a great job. BTW. My dog has found a new place to take care of his medical meeds

In an emergency situation we were met with calmness and compassion. Our 12 year old 5 pound Shi-poo was treated kindly and cared for overnight. Her care was top notch and she is making a great recovery. In an emergency situation, this is the place! Thank you to all the staff and Doctors for caring for our Coco when she needed it.
