Animal Medical Center at Fort Sheridan (vet)

It's OK I never got a service I asked for before I left town and also they told me only one pricing for a health certificate. Went from its 69 to 69 plus almost 200. I hate vets like this because they was more concerned to give me a prescription and charge me more rather then helping. Doctor literally talked to me and my son for hours instead of expressing my dog's anal glands. 😒 so annoying specially if I was there to get a certificate because I was moving. I didn't have time for small talk I needed my dogs taken care of and for them to take my dog and do things without asking is weird. Spent over 1000 in the 4 months my dogs was there. I would not recommend.

The staff, nurses and doctors are so friendly, and supportive. They probe to ensure all your questions have been answered. I appreciated their demeanor with my dog and treats are at the ready if that helps the situation. All treatments are well explained and their facility is comfortable and inviting. I'm happy that I've made them my primary care for my pooch.

Very nice vet. My cat was/is peeing all over my house and they kept sending me home to “clean the litter box”. Then sent home again to get a urine sample. There was no way I was able to obtain a urine sample and totally defeated and not wanting to go back a 3rd time for what I feel is not the best care- I’ve moved on to another vet who will treat this very clear behavioral issue with medicine. I understand there are steps to take but the lack of urgency bothered me.

Dr Kordell is truly one of kind! His knowledge is vast and he alway takes the time to explain everything in great detail. The office staff is very knowledgeable and attentive. It’s a family atmosphere and it is so reassuring to know that our furry baby is taken care of!

My puppy’s guardian angels! We don’t routinely use this clinic but I work up and knew my dog was sick. Our normal clinic was closed, so I tried my luck and call the Animal Medical center. Truly amazing when they told me to bring our dog in right away. They saw her immediately. When my dogs illness was beyond their scope of care, they coordinated care at the emergency vet AND they found an anonymous donor to help with our bills. Beyond grateful for this vet clinic, their compassion and generosity.
