Welcome to Animal Hospital of the Woodlands, a Pet Hospital located at 12212 W Branch Crossing Dr in The Woodlands, TX. You can contact us at (832) 813-7387 or +1 832-813-7387.

Animal Hospital of the Woodlands offers a range of veterinary services, including pet boarding. According to one customer, the care provided by all team members is excellent, and their dogs come home happy after boarding, with one dog, Oliver, reportedly enjoying everyone there.

However, another customer shared a negative experience regarding their golden retriever's annual wellness check-up. They described the visit as rushed and impersonal, with limited engagement from the veterinarian and a focus on expensive lab tests and referrals rather than providing guidance or answering general health questions. This customer felt the consultation fee was not worthwhile and described a pattern of overpriced and transactional interactions, ultimately leading them to seek advice from their previous vet.

While one customer praised the boarding services and overall care, another expressed significant dissatisfaction with the wellness check-up experience, citing concerns about the thoroughness, cost, and lack of personalized attention. The front desk staff was noted as kind, but the overall experience left the customer unable to recommend the hospital or the specific veterinarian they saw for routine care.

Animal Hospital of the Woodlands provides veterinary services and boarding for pets in The Woodlands area. We recommend contacting us directly to discuss your pet's specific needs and to understand our approach to consultations and treatment plans.

My golden retriever has been a patient here for almost two years. I’ve walked out frustrated before, telling myself ā€œnever againā€ā€”but today sealed it. I scheduled her annual wellness check-up because we’re considering breeding her and I wanted to make sure she’s in top shape. I had real questions, a bit of anxiety, and hoped for a thoughtful, supportive visit. What I got was the opposite. The vet spent maybe three minutes with her. Asked me 3 routine questions and done. No thorough check-up, no engagement—just rushed. When I started asking detailed health questions, there was no real guidance or empathy. Just a list of expensive lab tests. That’s always the answer here. Every concern leads to another test, another referral, another bill—but no actual help or extra mile interest in understanding the need. After the vet left (I thought he’d come back to wrap up), I had one more question. The nurse came back instead and said he was ā€œnot available,ā€ then handed me a printout for a specialist breeding hospital 40 miles away. Told me to reach out to them with my questions. These were general questions any vet should be able to answer. And that was a $75 consultation? Not worth it. This isn’t about one bad visit—it’s been a pattern: overpriced, impersonal, and transactional. I ended up calling my vet back home. She answered everything kindly, no charge, no labs—just real care, good advice and attention. What I really needed and did not get from Woodlands Animal Hospital and this Vet today. To be fair, the front desk staff was kind and noticed I was upset. But overall, I can’t recommend this hospital or doctor šŸ˜¢ā€”not if you’re looking for care that actually feels like care, even for a healthy checkup.

Always have an absolute great welcome and understanding from the Vet and the girls at the desk are wonderful. A great place to take your pet.

I have been bringing my two dogs for years. They are not the closest veterinarian or grooming establishment, but I get such great service from every person there - I truly appreciate it. The doctor’s knowledge is reassuring to get to the bottom of the causes affecting my pets and more encouraging when the treatment resolves the root of the problems. Thank you very much!!! I will continue to bring my two canine family members to them because I trust them.

They have been providing excellent care for our dog for eight years. The office staff and doctors are very kind, knowledgeable and practical. I could find a vet closer to my home but will only use Animal Hospital of the Woodlands.
