Super friendly staff. As a first time dog owner to a puppy I know I ask A LOT of questions but they were patient with me no matter how obvious the answers may have seemed. The receptionist is funny and sweet and so was the woman that saw our dog. Unlike the other CHAIN clinics that were trying to money gauge to do unnecessary testing, this clinic put my worrying mind at ease suggesting only what was needed and started her on medication. I now feel like there’s a game plan in motion to get our dog feeling better. They are affordable and I’m happy to say we’ll be coming back. Their building is nice and clean and they were sweet to my fur baby. I recommend them to any and every first time pet owner.

Based on customer feedback, experiences at Animal Hospital of Katy appear to vary. One pet owner described the staff as super friendly and patient, particularly appreciating their support as a first-time puppy owner. They highlighted the receptionist's friendly demeanor and the veterinarian's approach of recommending only necessary treatments, which provided them with reassurance and a clear treatment plan. This customer also noted the cleanliness of the facility and their intention to return.

However, another pet owner shared a deeply concerning and negative experience regarding the care of a very young, sick kitten. This review detailed a situation where the prescribed medications allegedly led to a rapid decline in the kitten's health, culminating in its death. The reviewer expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of thorough diagnostics, the perceived reluctance of the staff to provide timely care, and the absence of clear explanations or follow-up. This customer strongly advised others against taking ill pets to this clinic.

Animal Hospital of Katy offers a range of veterinary services. I recently found a very baby kitten on the side of the road. She was doing great until a few days after caring for her she started to become noticeably sick. After being referred to the Animal Hospital of Katy, we decided to give them a try. During our first visit with Dr. Euers, we were hopeful as the appointment seemed more informative than the first vet we tried. We estimated our sweet Coco to be about 2 ½ months old, but she was severely underweight. Having never owned a cat before, I hoped to rely on their expertise to nurse her back to health. Instead, they prescribed FOUR different medications, which seemed excessive for such a fragile kitten, but I followed their advice, trusting their judgment. We were instructed to give all four medications twice a day. Unfortunately, just two days later, Coco became even sicker. She could barely walk, was constantly urinating on herself, could hardly stand, and refused to eat. Desperate, we called the clinic again on the day before New Year’s Eve at 10am, explaining her condition. The staff seemed reluctant to see her because they were closing at 3 PM. After insisting she was on the verge of dying, they finally agreed to let us drop her off. When we picked her up later, the tech didn’t provide any explanations as she avoided us (it seemed she was hurrying to be done for the day)—all we got was a bill and some painkillers. No blood work, no examinations, nothing. Why were they giving an underweight, critically ill kitten painkillers without proper diagnostics? We followed their instructions again, but our sweet Coco continued to decline. She couldn’t stop urinating on herself and, heartbreakingly, passed away the NEXT DAY Based on her symptoms, we believe the medications they prescribed caused liver failure. I am devastated and furious. This clinic failed her in every way. Despite seeing how critically ill she was, they pumped her full of drugs without any real plan or care. To anyone considering this clinic for an ill pet: please, DON’T GO. They might do the same to your beloved animal. And I better not hear any accuses when the hospital replies because y'all could have done so much better after seeing and hearing how ill she was. And as for the tech that worked on Coco (we never received a name) they should not be allowed to work on any animals.

We really love Dr. Euers, she has been so nice with my wife, me, and all our pets, Greta and Jerry and Buddy for the last 18 years. Today we are taking our new Puppy Luca.

I will never go to another vet as long as I’m in Katy!!!!! The entire team in the building has helped through now 3 dogs in our family. From 2 years of helping out 100+ pound German shepherd mix while he suffered from hip dysplasia and making him as comfortable as possible until the very end. Our 12 year old pit mix recently suffered vestibular disease and they got me in right away to both help her and ease my heart. We also have a 6 month old Australian cattle dog that we got once we lost our shepherd, and we couldn’t be more sure bringing him there to start all of the puppy things! Everyone in this clinic truly has your pets best interest at heart. Crying with you on the hard days when you have to put down your baby, easing your fears on hard days, and loving on your new puppy. The best of the best!!! Plus - they’re Aggies!

left my cat opened on the table for 3 hours while they kept having to feed him anesthesia because they didn’t know how to do a certain procedure. They had to call another vet in from a different clinic because they told me they “had no idea how to do that procedure”. they almost killed my cat. it was a neuter. charged me over $1000. I took my cat to another vet, they told me how the old vets weren’t trained. asked me why they cut into him twice and i had to say “because even though i paid for an ultrasound which they OVERCHARHED ME for, they still decided to cut into him once, couldn’t find them, so they chose another spot to cut into him and hope they would find them.” Animal hospital of katy vets told me that i would have to pay to get him put under to get stitches out. the new vet i took him to took them out in less than 5min and didn’t charge me a dime for that. this vet sucks. they’ll overcharge you especially if you’re young, they have no clue what they’re doing, and they’re insanely unprofessional. with everything in my heart i am telling you please do not ever go to this vet.
