Dr. Ross gives outstanding care with genuine concern, enthusiasm and best of all expertise. He is more focused on the health and care of your pet without charging high rates or for care that is not needed. He gives a personal touch with follow up calls and you know it is from the kindness of his heart. He cared for my dog until she passed with the utmost compassion. Now, a year afterwards, I have a new puppy and returned to his great care! He remains the same outstanding veterinarian. I am so glad I chose to go back! It should be noted that because of his demeanor, his staff is equally enjoyable to visit with and really know about caring.

Animal Hospital of Clinton-Perryville Introduce
For pet owners in Hampton, New Jersey, and the surrounding Clinton-Perryville area, the Animal Hospital of Clinton-Perryville, located at 58 NJ-173, Hampton, NJ 08827, presents itself as a local option within the 'Pet Hospital' category. Based on recent customer reviews, the experiences at this veterinary facility appear to be somewhat varied, with notable praise for the expertise and compassion of Dr. Ross, but also significant concerns raised regarding staff friendliness, communication during critical times, and the perceived cost of services.
One customer offers a highly positive account of their experience with Dr. Ross, describing his care as "outstanding" and highlighting his genuine concern, enthusiasm, and expertise. This reviewer emphasizes that Dr. Ross prioritizes the health and well-being of the pet without imposing high rates or unnecessary treatments. The personal touch, including follow-up calls initiated out of kindness, is also commended. This long-term client recounts Dr. Ross's compassionate care for their dog until her passing and their subsequent return with a new puppy, affirming his consistent excellence as a veterinarian. Furthermore, this reviewer notes that Dr. Ross's positive demeanor extends to his staff, making them equally enjoyable to interact with and genuinely caring.
However, another customer shares a starkly contrasting and deeply negative experience, particularly concerning the handling of their teacup yorkie's cancer diagnosis and subsequent care. This reviewer, whose family's animals had been long-time patients of the hospital, expresses extreme disappointment with Dr. Ross's communication and availability during a crucial time when their pet needed him most. They report difficulties in getting in touch with him after their yorkie underwent surgery to remove a mass. This lack of accessibility during a stressful period for the family is a significant point of concern.
Adding to this negative experience, the same reviewer describes the front desk staff as "not friendly at all" and insensitive to their emotional distress during their pet's illness. This lack of empathy from the administrative staff further compounded the family's difficulties. Following these issues, the reviewer promptly switched their yorkie and a kitten to a different veterinary practice. Even after informing the Animal Hospital of Clinton-Perryville about the change in vets, they continued to receive email reminders to schedule appointments for their deceased yorkie, and their request to stop these reminders was met with an unsympathetic response. This suggests potential issues with their communication and record-keeping systems.
Furthermore, this critical review raises concerns about the cost of services at the Animal Hospital of Clinton-Perryville, describing them as "over the top expensive" and alleging a lack of consideration for clients who may struggle with affordability. The reviewer claims that the hospital charges for "every little thing possible." This perception of high costs and a lack of financial empathy is a significant factor for local users to consider when choosing a veterinary provider.
Interestingly, within the negative review, there is a single positive comment directed towards a specific staff member named Rena, who is described as "the best." This suggests that while some staff interactions were negative, there may be other team members who provide a more positive experience.
Based on these reviews, the environment of the Animal Hospital of Clinton-Perryville appears to be a point of contention. While one long-term client describes a positive experience with both Dr. Ross and the staff, suggesting a caring and enjoyable atmosphere, another recent client experienced the front desk staff as unfriendly and uncaring during a very emotional time. This discrepancy indicates a potential inconsistency in the overall environment and customer service provided by the clinic.
The services offered at the Animal Hospital of Clinton-Perryville likely include general veterinary care such as diagnostics, surgery (as indicated by the tumor removal), vaccinations, and treatment for illnesses. The positive review mentions Dr. Ross's expertise in caring for a dog until her passing and then for a new puppy, suggesting a range of services for different life stages. However, the negative review highlights potential issues with follow-up care and communication, particularly in critical situations like cancer treatment.
Features of the Animal Hospital of Clinton-Perryville, as perceived by customers, include the expertise and compassion of Dr. Ross, who is praised for prioritizing pet health without unnecessary costs and for his personal touch. However, potential drawbacks include concerns about the friendliness and empathy of the front desk staff, difficulties in communication with Dr. Ross during crucial times, and the perception of the clinic's services being overly expensive with a lack of financial consideration for clients.
Currently, the provided reviews do not contain any information regarding specific promotional offers or discounts at the Animal Hospital of Clinton-Perryville. For local users interested in learning about their pricing structure, payment options, or any potential new client specials or wellness plans, it is recommended to contact the hospital directly at (908) 735-7213 or +1 908-735-7213. They may be able to provide detailed information about their services and associated costs during a phone inquiry.
In conclusion, the Animal Hospital of Clinton-Perryville in Hampton, NJ, presents a mixed picture based on the available customer reviews. While Dr. Ross is lauded for his expertise, compassion, and patient-focused approach, significant concerns have been raised regarding the friendliness and empathy of the front desk staff, communication challenges during critical illness, and the perceived high cost of services. May 25, 2023 · Kate FerraraExtremely disappointed. My family's animals have been going here for quite sometime and really enjoyed them up until my teacup yorkie got diagnosed with cancer. This was very difficult for my family and myself. She underwent surgery to remove the mass, however, I was very disappointed with the way Dr. Ross handled it afterwards. My animal needed him in a very crucial time, and at times it was very difficult to get in touch with him. The people at the front desk are also not friendly at all. It was clear that my family and I were all very emotional and attached to our pup during this difficult time, and they did not seem to care at all. After this, I quickly switched my yorkie and my kitten to a different vet. My pup did pass away 2 months later, and I kept getting email reminders from them to schedule an appointment for her even though I did call them to tell them we are switching vets. I called and asked them to stop sending this reminders and they were very unsympathetic/uncaring. Also, they are over the top expensive for who/what they do, and they do not care if you cannot afford it. They charge you for every little thing possible. Rena is the best, though :)
Oct 02, 2023 · Maddie GillDr. Ross is so thorough and caring. He lets you know exactly what is needed and answers any questions you have. Because I started coming during the pandemic I’ve yet to meet him face to face but feel so comfortable and confident that my dogs receive the best care. The staff is so kind and helpful as well. This is a top notch clinic!
Apr 29, 2021 · linnypie46Dr. Ross took excellent care our beloved Lab mix, Emma for the last 7-8 years of her life. He always took time during vet visits and phone calls to explain her lab results, medications and health issues to watch out for. All of the staff were professional and caring for Emma and for our concerns. They are quite wonderful and understanding when dealing with owners who are coping with aging dogs. Sadly, we no longer live close enough to bring our new dog to Dr. Ross, but he was gracious enough to offer me some advice via a phone call when my new dog was having some health issues and I called asking for help - and he was spot on! If you are reading this and you do live close enough to bring your dog to Dr. Ross, lucky you! :)
Feb 10, 2022 · CC DDr. Ross and his team are wonderful! They are all so friendly, helpful, and compassionate. It's clear how much they care about every animal they treat. Everyone goes above and beyond to give you the best experience including helping you schedule and sitting with you and your pet to go over check in. I really appreciate that Dr. Ross always follows up with a phone call to check in and is truly available at all times. It's so reassuring to know that I can always get answers and help if there was ever an emergency. My pup and I are both extremely satisfied customers.
