Animal Hospital at Thorndale

Our senior dog hadn’t been doing well and our primary vet couldn’t see him, even when it escalated to an emergency. We’re so glad we found this clinic. I called and they were very kind, quick on the phone, and able to see him immediately. Everyone from the front desk to the techs to the vet were empathetic and transparent. They walked us through a very difficult time, step by step, not doing more tests than were necessary. Sadly it was our dog’s time to go, and they couldn’t have handled the situation better. Our family is very grateful for the professionalism, patience, compassion, and care they showed to our dog and our family. Thank you!

Swift care. Kind and compassionate staff. I was visiting the area New Year’s Eve, and have an elderly cat who needed to be evaluated. I called first thing in the morning, and they said to come right in. I drove over and he was seen right away. The doctor was thorough, knowledgeable and kind. The fee to be seen for urgent care was well worth it. Thank you 🙏

Had to make an emergency appointment here once...they scheduled me 1 full day after I called to be seen for the "emergency" and charged me an emergency visit fee ontop of other various add on fees not discussed. Many of the things they sell you can buy at a pet store or online for 85% less than what they charge, if you try to ask for a prescription script to buy it cheaper they charge you for NOT using them and you have to pay additional fees for your script to be given to you. Staff are nice and caring but this is handsdown one of the highest priced vets in chester country and they nickle and dime you big time. I was estimate 900-1,000 for a simple spay on a puppy.

I cannot speak highly enough about this place and these people. They are attentive to detail, they remember the needs my dog has, they are patient and empathetic, and they are insightful and thorough. I am grateful to have found them.

Do not take your pets here! I have been having issues with them since the first time I started taking my dog. They did his neuter and implanted his microchip at the same time and when I came into the office to have the paperwork filed so he could be registered in PA, they didn't even have his microchip on file!!!! They started asking me if he even had one. On a separate visit while receiving paperwork I noticed one day that his DOB was incorrect when it used to be shown correctly - unsure how that magically changes. He was also seen recently for a visit after having a small laceration, when I came into the office the vet stated “oh this will be easy I thought he was being seen for allergies” My dog has been going to them since he was 6 weeks old and is about to turn 5 years old. He has never been seen for allergies. On the follow up from that visit, they had the audacity to ask me if his itching has stopped. We never came here for allergies or itching. Its completely blew me away and was my final straw. I feel as though they do not listen when expressing concern for your animal and do not get to know your pet at all! I have already switched practices and felt an immediate difference in care and hospitality
