Animal Hospital at Baldwin Park

I am writing this review to express my concerns regarding the recent experience I had while trying to refill my dog’s insulin prescription. Unfortunately, the interaction left me deeply dissatisfied and questioning the level of professionalism at the animal hospital. I encountered two issues, prescription refusal and unprofessional behavior. Prescription Refusal- Despite my dog having two refills remaining before 12/06/2024, I was told it was not in the system. No clear explanation was provided for why this occurred or why the refills were considered expired. Unprofessional Behavior-The receptionist I spoke with was not only dismissive but also raised their voice during our conversation. This lack of courtesy and professionalism is unacceptable, especially in a healthcare setting where empathy and clear communication are vital. Unfortunately ever since Dr. Grillo left it has not been the same and it is disheartening to see how the office has changed. I strongly recommend addressing these issues with staff training on customer service and prescription management. Without improvements, I fear other patients may also seek care elsewhere. Due to this experience I will no longer be bringing my pet here. I hope you take this feedback seriously to better serve your patients in the future.

Our beloved Phoebe has been suffering for months. Visited multiple veterinary clinics with no prevail. Ran into my neighbor and he recommended Dr. David for us after treating his dog. Made an appointment and took Phoebe for her exam and treatment. Let me tell you the difference is night and day. Beginning with meeting David and Harley, to the comprehensive assessment and treatment plan. The result is amazing. Phoebe is back to active and playful self. We couldn’t be happier. The clinic is super clean, staff are very friendly, caring and highly knowledgeable. Definitely recommend this clinic.

We went in for our first appointment with one of our dogs after seeing great reviews on here and someone telling us about their experience while we were out at a dog park. Great first impression, we got there at our appointment time, they signed us in and we waited about 10-15 mins to get back to a room. We waited in the room for the vet to see us for an hour and just before we were about to walk out, she walked in. She did a very thorough exam on our dog and went over all of her concerns with us right then, which I appreciate and assume is the main reason we waited so long but I still would argue that they should space appointments out appropriately so that people aren’t waiting to be seen. Overall it seems like a great place to take your pets with many different options for therapies and the staff is friendly.

Thank you so much for taking such good care of my kitties Sadie and Maisie! Their first Vet experience was very positive and they had a great time! The staff explained everything very well and were very warm and professional.

Great team! Dr Mary was attentive, compassionate and knowledgeable. She dispensed medial advice that was clear and easy to understand mixed with warmth and grace. The rest of the team is exceptional as well. A true blessing for us and our little four legged friend Bucky Barnes! Best, Nate
