Animal Focus Vet - Marks Introduce

When searching for a "Pet Hospital" that provides comprehensive care for your beloved animals in Henderson, Nevada, Animal Focus Vet - Marks, located at 509 Marks St, is one of the options available. This veterinary care facility offers a range of services, as indicated by some customer experiences shared online.

According to one reviewer, Animal Focus Vet on Marks has been a trusted provider for their pup Chanel's veterinary needs. Over the years, Chanel has received various services, including vaccinations, nail trims, tooth extractions, spaying, and even emergency care related to a chocolate ingestion incident. This customer highlights the caring nature of the staff, veterinary technicians, and veterinarians, emphasizing that they treated Chanel as if she were their own. The reviewer expresses high satisfaction with the services received and recommends Animal Focus Vet - Marks to others seeking veterinary care.

However, it's crucial to consider all available feedback to gain a balanced understanding of any veterinary care provider. Another customer shared a deeply concerning experience involving their mother's cat, who was taken to Animal Focus Vet - Marks for an emergency visit on a Saturday. This review details a situation where the owner allegedly agreed to services exceeding her financial capacity, resulting in the clinic reportedly holding the cat until a $6000 payment was made. The account further describes an incident where the clinic's office cat allegedly scratched and bit the owner when she attempted to pick up her pet, with a receptionist reportedly suggesting she contact a lawyer and mentioning the clinic's insurance. The reviewer states that the clinic refused to allow the owner to see her cat at that time.

The following day, when the reviewer visited the clinic to assist their mother, they described the environment as potentially hazardous, noting a soaking wet floor that was allegedly left unmopped. They expressed concern about the safety of individuals in the waiting area, including a person on crutches with a puppy, who reportedly walked on the wet and subsequently dirty floor. This observation raises questions about the clinic's attention to maintaining a safe and clean environment for both pets and their owners.

The reviewer further recounts their attempt to see the cat to verify the procedures performed. They allege that the veterinarian seemed unaware that teeth had been extracted, and they described the cat as having blood on her face and matted fur. The initial reason for the emergency visit was reportedly for an anal gland surgery, but the reviewer claims that dental procedures were added last minute, allegedly increasing the bill. A significant point of contention was a reported $1500 charge for transport fees.

According to this account, the doctor allegedly refused to speak with the owner or the reviewer to explain the surgery or the cat's recovery, despite the substantial $6000 fee being demanded. The reviewer states that the assistant was also reportedly unaware of the specific surgeries performed. The emotional distress of the situation was heightened by the fact that the cat belonged to the reviewer's grandmother, who had recently passed away, and the owner feared losing her pet due to the inability to pay the full amount within ten days. The reviewer claims that the clinic allegedly refused a payment plan, considering the cat their property and threatening to deem it abandoned if payment was not received.

The distress caused by this experience reportedly led the reviewer to seek emergency room treatment due to illness and anxiety. They also mentioned contacting numerous other veterinary clinics, the humane society, 211, 311, lawyers, and the police, stating that other veterinarians found the clinic's alleged actions of withholding a pet for payment to be highly unusual. The reviewer also claims to have read other reviews suggesting similar issues with the clinic's billing practices and urged others to be cautious.

Given the significant disparity in these two customer experiences, it is challenging to provide a definitive objective introduction to Animal Focus Vet - Marks. While one reviewer praises the caring staff and quality of service received over multiple visits and for various procedures, the other account raises serious concerns about transparency in billing, communication, the condition of the animal post-surgery, and the clinic's policies regarding payment and the return of a pet. The latter review also suggests potential issues with the safety and cleanliness of the clinic environment.

For local users seeking a "Pet Hospital" in Henderson, NV, it is advisable to consider all available information and perhaps conduct further research or seek additional opinions before making a decision about their pet's care. Visiting the clinic in person to assess the environment and to discuss their pet's specific needs and the associated costs may also be a prudent step. Contacting Animal Focus Vet - Marks directly at (702) 675-3800 or +1 702-675-3800 to inquire about their services, policies, and to address any concerns based on the available reviews is recommended. As no specific promotional information was provided in the reviews, direct inquiry would be necessary to learn about any current offers.

My mom's cat was taken here for an emergency visit because they were open on a Saturday. I don't know why she agreed to services that she couldn't afford, but they are now holding her cat and will not give it back until she pays $6000. When she tried to pick up her cat, their office cat scratched and bit her and the receptionist told my mom that they had insurance if she wanted to contact lawyer. They refused to even let my mom see her own cat. When I came in to try to help my mom the next day, they had mopped the floor and left it soaking wet. Very dangerous. A lady had come in on crutches with her puppy and others walked on the wet floor which became extremely dirty immediately because it wasn't dry and tracked dirt everywhere. I demanded for the assistant to bring her cat so we could see her because at this point how could we even verify any work has been done. The vet had no idea that teeth had been pulled and my mom's cat had blood all over her face and her fur was very matted. She was supposed to be treated for an anal gland surgery and they added the dental procedures last minute to run up the bill. They are charging her $1500 in transport fees alone. The doctor would not come out to talk to us either. You want $6000 but you can't even tell us how the surgery went or anything about the recovery? The assistant had no idea what surgeries were even performed. I was so stressed out because this cat Also belonged to my grandmother who passed away this year and her funeral was on my birthday. I moved my mom and her cat into my house to help her and now my mom is going to lose her cat too because she can't come up with $6000 in 10 days. She is willing to make a payment plan, but they would rather keep the cat hostage claiming it is their property now and it will be considered abandoned if she can't pay. After our visit I ended up in the ER and fighting off being sick and dealing with so much anxiety from this whole situation. I have made numerous calls to other vets, humane society, 211, 311, lawyers and police. All the vets i called said they have never heard of anyone actually keeping a cat from an owner like this. I have read other reviews about how they try to sell ppl and take their money. Believe them. I wish I could give negative stars for this business.

I love this Vet. Dr. Sneed saved my dogs life. Blaze, my Siberian Husky has ZRD (Zinc Deficiency) he breaks out in plaques and has sores all over his face and paws. I had no idea what was going on with my doggo. He was very sick and had sores on his jaw and eye. He was lethargic and not eating as well as losing weight. he was just not being my husky. Dr. Sneed went into action and did whatever he could to help and diagnose, including bloodwork, biopsies, scrapes for infection, the whole 9 yards. The biopsy came back with ZRD. Dr. Sneed went out of his way to find out everything he could about ZRD because it is quite rare. He called different people and vets to find what we could do as far as medication, food, and lifestyle changes to help my Husky. With his help, he came up with a food and medication regimen to help with breakouts, and with what we are doing, we have had minimal breakouts. Dr. Sneed and Animal Focus Vet Mark's may be on the pricy side. However, you get the care you pay for. They have a state of the art facility, and the staff treat you like family. Dr. Sneed and his staff and facility are amazing, and I recommend them to everyone I know who has a fur baby or any pet. Thank you, Dr. Sneed and Staff Blaze and his family love your animal hospital! Pics of some breakouts and a healthy Blaze.

Amazing! AFV has taken care of our puppy from his first visit to his neuter surgery. All questions were answered with knowledge and professionalism. His surgery went well and he heeled famously, without complication. Any request over the phone is taken care of in timely manner. Dr. Cain is knowledgeable and personable.

I have NEVER been given so much conflicting information regarding a dog that was purchased from Petland and sold to us with a birth defect. I spent almost $1,000 in diagnostics and my dog is limping in pain and was told by the Doctor that Petland is paying for surgery or at least a big portion. When we arrived dog in hand on day of scheduled surgery, we were told it was NOT covered. This vet is contracted with Petland who is irresponsibly selling dogs with genetic issues and leaving new pet parents left to suffer their mistakes emotionally and financially.
