Doctor Brown and the nurses took such good care of our boy. It was a hard pill to swallow knowing our boy had to get his eye removed, but everyone here was so empathetic it made it much easier.

Beyond disappointed by the Orange Park location. My GSD has been diagnosed with Pannas. I was heartbroken and scared not knowing what the future holds……. The interaction started off well as originally my appointment was 5 weeks out. I was on a cancellation list. They called 2 separate times to move my appointment up which I was thrilled. I then received the new client paperwork via email. I noticed it said ….. Our lobby is currently closed in the Orange Park location to provide a safe & stress-free environment for our furry friends. When in reality they share a building with a dermatologist and they don’t allow dogs in the building except in the back and exam room from what I was told. I can’t say my response was the best as I did say……. Well that’s Bullshit. You bring your dog to an eye specialist, you are supposed to keep your dog out of the bright light and we wait in our car or sit on a bench outside? I was taken back with the office answer that you have to just that. I said well it doesn’t matter my dog needs to be seen so I’ll be there. Well this is the kicker, I get an email stating…. We are writing this letter in regards to your relationship with our veterinary practice. We made accommodations for Cassie and prioritized her when we had a cancellation for Thursday understanding the urgency in her being seen. After your call back stating your disapproving views on our lobby policy, we have decided that you may find better accommodations at another facility. One of the most important criteria for the delivery of veterinary medical care from veterinarians and staff members at this facility is a polite, effective, comfortable, and open avenue for communication. Unfortunately, your interactions with our personnel today have made it impossible for the doctors and staff here to communicate with you in that fashion. As a result of this, we will be unable to provide medical care for your pet(s). Ideally, we recommend that Cassie see another ophthalmologist. There are ophthalmologists available in Gainesville that are highly recommended or we recommend searching ophthalmologists at the ACVO.org website. You may also continue care with your primary veterinarian. We wish you and Cassie nothing but the best. Kind Regards, Animal Eye Clinic Not even signed with a name!! I called apologizing for what they perceived but was stressed and didn’t understand how a specialized eye dr makes their clients wait outside. I’m sharing this out of transparency. I took this as was blown out of proportion!! Then again maybe I dodged a red flag with 3 cancellations in just a couple hrs!?!? I pray no one at this clinic has a situation like the one I experienced with them!

Dr. Brown and his staff are absolutely incredible. I feel like we were in the trenches together with my baby, Anastasia. She is diabetic and was suffering with ulcer after ulcer, on top of cataracts. In the end, my little girl’s eyes are now cataract-free and she has not had an ulcer in a year. Dr. Brown is incredibly intelligent, yet he is as kind and patient as he is brilliant. He always took time to explain everything going on with Anastasia’s eyes, went over her medications and protocols in depth, and always had the patience for my many questions. His staff is also exceptional. After awhile, it felt like I was visiting friends when I brought Anastasia for my checkup. Everyone is so compassionate and it is obvious they love their jobs and the animals they care for. I gladly drive from Tampa to Jacksonville for my girl’s checkups and always will. Thank you Dr. Brown and everyone on his team. You have given my baby a wonderful life and it warms my heart to see her so playful and happy again!

I had an exceptional experience at the Animal Eye Clinic, and I can't recommend them highly enough! Dr. Brown, Conner and the entire staff provided excellent care for my boy who was suffering from advanced glaucoma in both eyes, which caused him pain and permanent blindness. After a disappointing encounter at my primary vet, Dr. Brown treated the situation with expertise and compassion. He gave multiple recommendations, including less invasive options to double enucleation. Thanks to Dr. Brown, my boy has regained much of his former self. Five stars aren't enough to express my gratitude for their care!

Very pleased with Dr. Brown and staff! I have a Bull Mastiff whose name is Simba Washington and he was given so much authentic love and care during our emergency visit regarding his corneal ulcer. Also, because of the knowledge and expertise and professionalism observed, there was great comfort in my decision to proceed with the surgery that same day. Surgery was on June 6 and as of June 14 no complications. Re check on the 20th and I’ll be eagerly anticipating Dr. Brown’s assessment of Simba’s recovery process! Would highly recommend this office for any ophthalmic concerns regarding your pet.
