Go to ANY other vet you can. The work ethic of this clinic is horrible. They have a philosophy of "it's an emergency clinic, you always wait." Prices are not as they tell you, Inflate by at least 15%. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else you can. The clinic has unqualified techs with vets who move like molasses in winter.

Welcome to Animal Emergency & Trauma Center: Skeen Todd DVM

Welcome to the introduction of Animal Emergency & Trauma Center: Skeen Todd DVM, a Pet Hospital located at 1600 Hanes Mall Blvd in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA. As an emergency and trauma center, this veterinary facility, associated with Skeen Todd DVM, is positioned to provide immediate medical care for pets facing critical health situations. Unlike general practice veterinary clinics, an emergency and trauma center typically operates around the clock or has extended hours to address urgent and life-threatening conditions in animals. The information available includes the name, contact details, address, and contrasting reviews from real customers, which offer insights into the experiences of pet owners who have sought their services.

As a Pet Hospital specializing in emergency and trauma care, Animal Emergency & Trauma Center: Skeen Todd DVM likely provides services that go beyond routine veterinary care. These services typically include immediate assessment and stabilization of critical cases, emergency surgeries, intensive care, and management of traumatic injuries. The environment of such a facility would generally be equipped to handle emergencies, with diagnostic tools like advanced imaging, on-site laboratories for rapid results, and a well-equipped surgical suite. However, the specific details of the environment at this particular center are not provided in the given information.

The features of an emergency and trauma center inherently include the availability of care during critical times and the capacity to handle severe medical and surgical cases. The association with Skeen Todd DVM suggests the involvement of a veterinarian with that name, although the reviews primarily focus on the clinic's overall operation rather than specifically on Dr. Skeen Todd. The contrasting nature of the reviews provides a mixed perspective on the clinic's features.

One customer review expresses significant dissatisfaction, stating a belief that the clinic's "work ethic is horrible." This reviewer claims a philosophy of expecting long waits due to it being an emergency clinic and alleges that prices are inflated beyond initial quotes. They also describe the veterinary technicians as "unqualified" and the veterinarians as moving slowly. This review strongly advises others to seek veterinary care elsewhere.

In contrast, another reviewer shared a positive experience, referring to the facility as "CVS" (which seems to be a potential abbreviation or a mistake in their recollection of the name, likely referring to this center). This reviewer acknowledged that wait times could vary based on the clinic's case load but viewed the triage and prioritization as a positive sign of their operational efficiency. They reported that their dog was "well taken care of" and healed fully. This reviewer concluded by stating their trust in "CVS" for emergency pet care needs.

Given these conflicting accounts, it is challenging to definitively describe the environment, services, and features based solely on these reviews. One review suggests a potentially underperforming clinic with long waits and pricing issues, while the other indicates competent emergency care with effective triage. It is important for local users to consider both perspectives.

Obviously going to the ER for your pet is never a good thing but the people at CVS were great. The wait can vary significantly based on what they have going on, but honestly it's a good sign to me when a service like this knows how to triage and prioritize. My dog was well taken care of healed up good as new. I do not recommend that anyone needs these services, but if you do, I trust CVS.

Took my cat in because they were very lethargic and low energy. Nothing else was wrong with her. Walked out with an 800 dollar bill just to be told she has a fever. I asked them to do a physical first which should include the temperature being checked, and when they came back they said nothing was wrong has had to do bloodwork along with an x-ray. Only then did they say that she just has a mild fever. Did they lie to me? Did they only check her temp AFTER bloodwork and a X-ray? I told them I was spending money I didn’t have but I guess that doesn’t matter to them. Waited 3 hours.

I cannot say enough good things about this practice and the employees. My call to them on the Sunday after Christmas was handled with care and efficiency when I was worried about an injury to my kitty. I’m visiting from out of state, and so grateful they were open. I went over shortly after the call. They practice top notch COVID protocols, and you park at a numbered spot and call them to advise you’ve arrived. Even though there were quite a few folks there today, the wait was very reasonable. I really appreciated how well they handled my baby as well as the communication. I know it’s tough to not be able to go in with your pet, but just know that they will keep you posted. Thank you guys so much for taking care of my “only child” (🙂) in such a sweet, caring way, on a day that most people are home.
