Animal Emergency of Gainesville

It’s always difficult to take your pet to the vet when they’re not feeling well or hurting! Especially the 24 hour vet. But I feel that my cat Gracie is well taken care of and we had a pawsitive experience. 🐱 The tech Jamie was on shift the night we were there recently, and Dr. Sommers. We are grateful for their care for Gracie. She is feeling better.

They were absolutely wonderful with my baby!! I felt at ease right away because they didn’t take anything slow they actually took her straight back and made sure she was taken care of right away! They did great with her! Great prices also for it being in the middle of the night!

Dr. Douglas Dr Eddy Nurse Morgan, Jaimee & Daniel took excellent care of our baby boy Winston. It was a very scary 48 hours but they did a great job of providing him excellent emergency care preventing serious complications and comforting me/ mom. I hope I don’t ever need them again but if one of my babies is that sick again I will for sure go bk to their clinic

Wouldn’t help me because I couldn’t pay money before services. I don’t have $1000 sitting around for an emergency like that just laying around. Most people don’t. It was the only emergency vet within 100 miles from home and they did nothing to help. Not to say they were bad medically just the business don’t have very good principles and they were bound by company policy. Wouldn’t even take post dated checks due to “being over $40000 in back debt from checks”. They could have easily saved my puppy but because of money he died. I would not recommend anyone that don’t have an extra $1000 to give them before they even are sure what’s wrong not to take your animal there.

Came in with my dog, was escorted to a room immediately and met with someone soon after. My dog was fatigued, not able to stand correctly, as well as vomiting. The vet did a bunch of work up and nothing came back concerning beside kidney and pancreas levels being a little high. My dog was given fluids and sent home. After 2 weeks my dogs heath worsened and I had to put her down. After many opinions from multiple veterinarians, my dog should have been kept over night with fluids being pushed because she had kidney failure. Everyone seemed very nice but these people are not very educated.

My sweet Lucy had an allergic reaction to her vaccinations at another vet practice during the day. Later that night, she started behaving very unlike herself. I was so scared and worried about my baby. I took her to see Dr. Douglass around 8:30 that night. The tech, Jamie, and the doctor were so calming and caring! They were great with my Lucy and treated her accordingly. I highly recommend them! Should I never need a service after hours, I will definitely go back to them! I wish they were open during the day, cause they would be my new vet practice for sure!

My pup, Shay, had a terrible allergic reaction on a Sunday and thankfully, the Animal Emergency of Gainesville was open. They were caring and kind to both of us. After some meds and rest, she improved enough to go home so I could follow up with our local vet the next day. Many thanks to Eddy and Lexie for helping us get through a tough day!
